Chapter 110 Retreat
Su Mengfan was worried that two injections a day to calm down would be too much for this commander.

Olmedo put his index finger on Anton's neck.

"He's fine," he said after a few seconds. "He's alive, get a stretcher!"

They put Anton's stretcher on the floor, and the needles fell even more densely.

"Don't fight back! Don't fight back! Wait a minute..."

"It hit my shoe..."

"Ready the light...I count to three, turn on the flashlight, shoot. Guys with night vision gear now lock on target...one..."

"How did they shoot..."

"Two, three." Several powerful flashes lit up at the same time, and the machine gun was fired.

Su Mengfan heard the shouting and dying groans in front, then the shooting stopped suddenly, and Su Mengfan listened carefully.

"There, there, the white flag... have they surrendered?"

"Stop shooting, negotiate with them, bring the hostages to the front!"

"Stop it, bastard, where is it? I've got him, got him! Wise old man..."

"We've got your priests! Let's go!" Olmedo yelled. "Let's go back to the tunnel! I repeat, let's go!"

"How's it going? How's it going?"

"No response, they were silent."

"Maybe they don't understand?"

"So, shine a light on him well..."

"Take a look." The negotiation suddenly stopped, as if the soldiers were lost in thought. At first it was only the few people in front, and then the soldiers in the back also fell silent. This kind of silence is not good, full of tension.

"What's the matter?" Su Mengfan asked uneasily, but no one answered him, and everyone even stopped walking.

Su Mengfan felt that he was holding the child's hand and began to sweat, which shocked him.

"I think...he's watching us..." Olmedo whispered.

"Release the hostages!" Olmedo said suddenly.

"The hostages have been released," said another soldier.

Su Mengfan couldn't bear it anymore, stood up and looked through the shield and helmet.

Ten paces ahead of them, where the three bright lights meet, stood a tall man, holding a white cloth in his broad rough hand, who neither squinted nor covered his eyes with his hands.

His face can be seen clearly, and he looks a lot like Vartan who interrogated Su Mengfan a few hours ago.

Su Mengfan hid behind the shield and turned on the safety of the pistol.

The scene he just saw is still in front of him.

It strangely reminded him of an old book he loved to read when he was a child, a book of ancient Greek legends.

One of the legends tells of a half-human monster whose gaze could turn many warriors to stone.

His gigantic frame was strong enough to repel hundreds of valiant warriors.

He took a breath, mustered all the willpower to keep himself from looking at the hypnotist's face, jumped on the shield like an imp on a spring, and pulled the trigger.

After this surprisingly quick and quiet battle with suppressed machine guns and percussion tubes, the sound of Kalashnikov firing filled the station.

Although Su Mengfan believes that it is impossible to miss the shot at such a short distance, what he was worried about happened.

The opponent had already guessed his intention, and as soon as he appeared on the shield, his gaze fell into the trap of the eye of death.

He pulled the trigger, but invisible hands pushed the barrel aside.

All the shots missed, and only one round hit the opponent's shoulder, and he let out a sound that pierced the eardrum, and with an elusive movement, he disappeared into the darkness.

Su Mengfan thought how many seconds do we have now?
Only a few seconds.

Olmedo was amazed as his team broke through the pack and made their way to Victory Park.

Now that the barbarians had organized a counterattack, it seemed impossible to break through the barrier they had created.

Moving in the other direction was the only way, his jailer's words flashed in his head—leave the station through a tunnel that wasn't on the map.

"Are there any other tunnels here?" he asked Oleg.

"There is another station behind this passage, exactly like this one." The little boy waved a hand.

"We played there. There are some similar tunnels there, but they told me I couldn't go there."

"Back! Back to the intersection!" Su Mengfan shouted, trying to imitate Olmedo's deep voice command.

"What the hell happened?" Olmedo yelled unhappily, looking like he had regained consciousness.

Su Mengfan grabbed his shoulder.

"Come on, they have a hypnotist over there," he said eagerly. "We can't break through this barrier! There's an exit behind the intersection!"

"No, this station is a double station... let's go!" Olmedo accepted the decision, "Stop heading towards the roadblock! Back up! Slow down! Slow down!"

The others moved slowly, as if reluctantly.

Olmedo prodded them with new orders to change, and retreated before new needles flew out of the darkness.

As they stood along the steps of the passage, the warrior guarding behind gave a cry and grabbed his shins.

For a moment he crawled on stiff legs, but a terrible convulsion knocked him down, and he, twisted like a wrung garment, fell unconscious.

The procession stopped. Two warriors ran out from under the shields and lifted their comrade from the ground, but it was too late.

His body turned blue before their eyes, foam appeared on his gums.

Su Mengfan already knew what this meant, and so did Olmedo.

"Take his shield, helmet and machine gun! Quick!" He ordered Su Mengfan, "Let's go, go!"

He calls out to others!

Chin's helmet was covered with terrible foam, but it was still to be removed from the dead man's head.

Su Mengfan couldn't force himself to do this, so he only took a gun and a shield. He stood at the tail of the team, covered himself with the shield, protected the vital parts of his body, and acted behind the others.

They are almost running now.

Someone dropped a smoke bomb far ahead and they took advantage of the confusion to climb down the tracks.

Another soldier screamed and fell to the ground. Now only 3 people can carry Anton's stretcher.

Su Mengfan didn't want to come out of the shield, and shot several times without looking back.

Then the surroundings became strangely quiet, and the needles stopped flying towards them.

But judging from the rustling footsteps and the surrounding sounds, the pursuit has not stopped.

Su Mengfan summoned up his courage and looked out from behind his shield.

The team is still 10 meters away from the tunnel entrance.

The soldiers at the front have already entered.

Two went in, and they turned and swept their lights over whoever was approaching, covering the others.

But there was no need, it looked like the barbarians had no intention of going into the tunnel with them.

The men formed a half-circle, put down their tubes, shaded the blinding light of the flashlights with their hands, and waited quietly.
