Chapter 70 Holiday 1 It's gone in the blink of an eye
Chapter 70
"Manlan, how many days has Hera been in the library?" Nick gently stroked the skin of the woman lying on the bed. Although her skin had already sagged and aged, she was always the person Nick cared about the most.
Manglan performed a standard chest button gracefully, "Mr. Lestrange has been here for three days."
"Has it been three days? Didn't he say he's coming out?" Nick withdrew his hand and looked at Manglan with a little surprise.
"If I hadn't reminded him to eat, Mr. Lestrange probably forgot to eat."
Nick stood up, not as weak as he was in front of Hera and Dumbledore, "Oh, so Albus really found a good boy!"
Hera eagerly read in the underground library. Nicolas Lemer's 600-year life is really not in vain. His library alone is enough for the world to look up to.
The contents of the library on the first floor are mostly custom biographies, the second floor involves some more commonly used magic, and the third floor seems to be advanced black and white magic that has never even been heard of in Hogwarts.
As for the deeper fourth and fifth layers, Hera can only lament the profound accumulation of Nicolas May.
Just on the third floor, he saw a lot of research on cutting-edge black magic, which has already opened his eyes.
It’s just that many of the black magic conditions are a bit harsh, even a bit devoid of conscience, such as the skull of a baby, the spinal cord of a lover, the ashes of a parent, etc.
These are beyond Hera's cognition, even though he has been in the 'marginal' industry before, he does not have a big heart to accept these.
However, some of the white magic Hera can try. He has been reading a book explaining the protection of calling gods for the past few days.
This is obviously a very practical magic. The Patronus can help the master send messages, break black magic, and expel malice. The most important thing is-it is so handsome!
When Dumbledore came again to pick up Hera, he only saw Nick Flamel.
"Nick, where's the Hera?"
"Him?" Nick held the teacup steadily and said slowly, "He's been in the underground library all the time. If it wasn't for Manglan, he might have even forgotten to eat."
Dumbledore straightened his robe, leaned back on the chair, and said with a chuckle, "He must have been in the underground library all this time, right?"
"Just what's inside is enough for him to watch for several years." Nick took a sip of black tea and said calmly. "But his appearance reminds me of someone."
Dumbledore frowned slightly, and reached out to pick up the small teacup on the table, "It's all a thing of the past."
After finishing speaking, he drank the black tea in the cup in one gulp.
"That curse hasn't been broken yet?" Nick asked with interest.
Dumbledore sighed softly, and looked at Nuoda's lawn and the cold lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
"That little guy's curse is quite powerful. No one has been able to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts for more than a year." Nick joked with a chuckle.
Dumbledore rubbed his temples, his eyes didn't know where to focus for a long time, "In fact, I don't think Tom can be blamed for a large part of the reason. It's true that I couldn't find a particularly suitable candidate. Quirrell didn't expect him to become like this."
"I think I already know the essence of Quirrell." Nick picked up the dessert and put it into his mouth, eating slowly. "He will last at most half a year. He was possessed by Tom and drank unicorn blood. He has no way out."
Dumbledore turned his head to look at Nick, his blue pupils shone with light, and he suddenly laughed.
"So I've already found a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor for next year."
"." Nick's hands froze for a moment, and he smiled helplessly after he realized it, "Sure enough, I knew you would be fully prepared, so which 'lucky guy' did you choose?"
Dumbledore smiled slightly, and was not in a hurry to answer Nick's question, but instead asked: "Do you remember the old Armenian wizard and the open-mouthed witch?"
Nick was stunned for a moment, and then laughed heartily, "You, you really have a way."
"Okay, I'm going to take Hera away too, and the students will be back in two days." Dumbledore picked up a few snacks on the table and stuffed them into his mouth. His eyes were narrowed and he showed a big smile. How could he have the majesty of the strongest white wizard in the world?
Like an old man with a sweet tooth.
"So, Professor Dumbledore, are we going back like this?" Hera frowned, holding a copy of "Voodoo Magic Analysis" in her hand.
Dumbledore sighed heavily and glanced at Nick. Of course, Nick shrugged helplessly. He didn't do anything, even just let Manglan take Hera to the underground library.
"I suppose you don't forget that you only have two weeks' leave?"
Hera slapped her forehead violently, and reluctantly put down the book in her hand, "Oh, yes, of course I won't forget it. I just didn't expect time to pass so quickly."
"It's okay, there will be opportunities in the future." Dumbledore said, "Okay, then let's go."
"Albus, goodbye!" Nick raised his hand to say goodbye to Dumbledore.
"Oh, nice to meet you today." Dumbledore nodded and said softly.
"Thank you very much for your care during these days, Mr. Nick Flamel." Hera bowed politely to Nick Flamel, and then put it on Dumbledore's extended forearm.
"Goodbye." Nick smiled and watched the two of them leave.
There was another burst of squeezing, and Hera sucked in the cold night air, and opened her eyes.
Sure enough, the experience of Apparating with someone else was terrible.
"Professor Dumbledore," Hera lowered her head and said with difficulty, "If I remember correctly, you seem to have come early."
"Yes." Dumbledore nodded thoughtfully, "I'm so glad you still remember the beginning of school. I thought you were tempted by Manglan's craftsmanship and didn't want to go back to Hogwarts anymore."
Hera wrapped her cloak tightly around her neck, and the cold wind kept pouring in.
The yard where he and Dumbledore were standing now looked like some abandoned yard, with a fountain in the shape of a swan and some benches in the middle.
Dumbledore smiled, identified the direction, and said, "Go this way."
Walking briskly, he passed an empty tavern and a few houses.
Although it was only eight o'clock in the night in my heart, the village seemed to have fallen asleep.
"Then tell me, Hera," said Dumbledore, "what have you been looking at all this time?"
Hera stopped subconsciously, thought for a while and replied: "."
