In the world of the earth, a thunder suddenly flashed.
The rain is falling gradually, and the sound of raindrops can be heard endlessly.

In the Buddhist kingdom, the monks sat cross-legged, and the big raindrops fell on their bald heads, like falling on a hot boulder, and the mist rose.

"New Buddha, have you ever realized something?" one of the monks asked.

Kukai shook his head.

The new leader of the Eighteen Arhats, Jianglong Arhat, stood up and said flatly: "The new Buddha still has a long way to go, don't worry."

Kukai raised his head, his old face was slightly strange.

Jianglong Arhat continued: "Before he left, the Buddha told me to obey you. We will listen to what the Buddha said. But as a new Buddha, you have to do something to convince us, or set an example. do you think so?"

Kukai was silent for a moment, then nodded.

"Xin Buddha can understand, very good."

Luohan Jianglong showed a gratifying smile that he didn't know whether he was sincere or not. He turned around and looked at the monks around him against the rain.

Everyone's face was very calm, and they didn't know what they were thinking.

Subduing Dragon Arhat smiled.

He walked outside step by step.

He walked very slowly. It seems to be waiting for something.

What are you waiting for?

……

……

Suddenly, in the rain, there was a soft sound.

I saw a monk at the back standing up and walking towards the back of the Dragon Subduing Arhat.

No, it should not be said to be walking, it should be said to be chasing.

The word chasing has many meanings.

search.

chase.

follow.

But in the end, there is only one meaning.

He caught up with Luohan Jianglong.

The rain is getting worse.

Da da da.

The raindrops fell on the ground and fell on Jianglong's smiling face.

He nodded.

As a result, more monks stood up and went towards subduing the dragon.

Kong Hai watched the rain screen quietly, watched the figures stand up, watched them leave the place, left him, and went behind Jianglong Arhat.

This represents a will.

It means that he was abandoned?
……

……

Where there are people, there are rivers and lakes.

Monks are people too.

It has been said since ancient times that anything that is contaminated with Buddhism is troublesome.

As for the Buddhist affairs, the most troublesome thing is the succession of the throne.

The abbot of a temple is the throne that all monks compete for.

A Zen fruit position is the fruit position that countless monks flock to.

However, the highest position of the entire Buddhist gate is the position of the Buddha.

This position has always existed there since the existence of Buddhism, and has never been changed.

In the past countless years, no one has ever coveted this position, because all monks know that people in this position are eternal, immortal, and never fall.

But now, the person in this position has left this world in another way.

Therefore, this position is vacant.

Today, the position of the Buddha is the position that all monks in the world covet.

Most monks do not pursue worldly money or everything in the world. Once such people start to pursue one thing, they will be more persistent than normal people.

Or, more paranoid, more eager.

The Dragon Subduing Arhat is the one he longs for the most.

He said: "The position of the Buddha is reserved for those with seniority and virtue. Zen Master Kong Hai has great virtues, but his qualifications are still lacking a little bit."

"Yes, how long has he become a Buddha? What qualifications does he have?" A monk following him echoed.

Jiang Long smiled and said, "The most important thing is that he is too ruthless."

The monks touched their heads, not understanding the meaning of the words.

Suddenly, the person who spoke just now seemed to have thought of something, patted his bald head, and suddenly realized: "Yes, yes, this guy is too ruthless,"

……

……

Why do you say Kukai is ruthless?

Of course it's because of the past.

Back then in the Buddhist kingdom, Kong Hai was the only monk who had cultivated into the Ten Thousand Buddhas Dynasty.

Back then in the Buddhist kingdom, Kong Hai had given up on Han Mengxue, but in reality he was forbearing for Han Mengxue everywhere.

Back then in Shaolin Temple, Kukai practiced closed mouth meditation in one go for countless years.

Back then, for a certain promise, Kukai could bear the infamy for countless years without knowing it.

For many years, this monk seemed to have never been in contact with the world, but in fact everything he did was closely related to the world.

Such a person seems to be really cruel.

Be harder on yourself.

What qualifications does such a person have to be a Buddha?

How can such a person be merciful?

The thoughts in the hearts of all the monks are the same.

However, most people know in their hearts that these thoughts are just because some people oppose Kukai.

If no one objected to Kukai, what this monk did in the past would be described in another way.

That statement may be great.

But people mostly just look at the results.

The result they can see is that Kukai cannot be a Buddha.

Because, the person who opposed him was the Dragon Subduing Arhat.

In the former Buddhist kingdom, the Buddha is naturally the well-deserved No.1.

Then, there are Maitreya Buddha, Four Great Bodhisattvas, Four Vajras, and Eighteen Arhats.

But now, after the last catastrophe, Maitreya Buddha died, the Four Great Bodhisattvas died, and the Four King Kongs also died. Even the eighteen arhats with the largest number of people, in the end, only one descending dragon Arhat remained.

Therefore, Jianglong is the person with the oldest qualifications besides the Buddha in the current Buddhist kingdom.

Compared with those bodhisattvas and arhats who came back later, he is a well-deserved second person.

But now, the Buddha has left.

He became the well-deserved No.1.

No.1, I want to be a Buddha.

So, what is this Kukai?

People are well aware of this.

Even Kukai himself is very aware of this.

So, he has been silent.

……

……

Kukai is a very inarticulate person.

He doesn't like to talk.

He loves action.

The rain stopped.

The breeze blows, bringing wisps of Zen fragrance.

After the rain, it should be the smell of earth.

Why is there Zen fragrance?

Seeing Kukai standing up, a great glow descended from the sky.

He opened his mouth and spit out a word lightly.

"In heaven and earth, I am the only one."

……

……

According to historical records, when the Buddha was born, he walked seven steps in all directions, raised his right hand and chanted the verse: "I am the only one in the sky and on the earth, and now I have passed away." It means, I am the best in the world.

Many people have heard this allusion.

Subduing Dragon Arhat knew better that this allusion happened for real.

So, when he heard Kukai say this, he was very angry at first.

However, the next second, he felt the colorful Buddha light erupting from Kukai's body, and the anger that was enough to evaporate the rainy land was all dissipated.

A high-level saint is only one step away from the realm of heaven and man.

The colorful Buddha light is accompanied by the luck of this world.

Qi luck came to the side of Kukai's body, and poured directly into it.

It's as if he was born to be the master of these lucks.

So Jianglong understood and knelt down.

Facing the standing figure of Kukai, he knelt down deeply.

"Meet the Buddha."

Seeing Jianglong kneeling down, all the monks were stunned, but they were only stunned for less than a second, and then they all knelt down together following the movements of Jianglong Arhat.

"Meet the Buddha."

"Meet the Buddha!"
