Chapter 8 explains about the attributes, special attack, physics, and changes of Chapter [-]
Note 1 attribute
Attributes are a way of classifying Pokémon or moves.
General Flying Fire Super Ability Water Bug Electric Rock Grass Ghost Ice Dragon Fighting Vicious Steel Ground Goblin ???
There are currently 18 attributes, plus the special ??? attribute, a total of 19 attributes have appeared in the "Pokémon" series of games.
Attributes of Pokémon
Pokémon can have one or two attributes, for example, Charmander is fire-type, and Bulbasaur is both grass-type and poison-type.There is no dual-type Pokémon with the same first type and second type (unless it is a wrong Pokémon).
The attributes of dual-attribute Pokémon have an order. The first attribute often shows the setting and design prototype of the Pokémon itself, so few changes and evolutions of Pokémon will change the first attribute, but in the game the attribute The order has no effect on the match. The only case where it matters is in Generation II: Move Gifts give priority to the second stat for dual-attribute Pokémon. In addition, there is a game loophole related to dual attributes in the first generation.
Because there are 18 kinds of normal attributes, counting single attributes, if the double attributes in different orders are regarded as the same combination, there will be 171 combinations in theory, and there are 154 kinds in reality (as of the eighth generation); if they are regarded as different combinations, In theory, there will be 324 combinations.
Attributes of moves
Moves generally can only have one attribute. In particular, although Flying Body Press is a fighting attribute move, it has dual attribute effects of fighting attribute and flying attribute (the extra flying attribute is an additional effect of the move, and the effects that can affect the attribute of the move can only affect the former. Only the former is displayed on the interface).
Each attribute contains these elements: the moves of this attribute are excellent for Pokémon of which attributes; the effects of Pokémon for which attributes are not ideal;
Before the fourth generation of the "Pokémon" series, the classification of non-changing moves (that is, physical moves and special moves) depends on the attributes of the moves; from the fourth generation onwards it depends on the moves themselves.
attribute consistent bonus
If one of the attributes of the Pokémon matches the attribute of the move used, the power of the attack can be increased by 50%, which is called the attribute matching bonus. For example, Cocoa Dora can learn Metal Claw and Iai Zhan, both of which have a power of 50. However, since Cocoa Dora is a steel-type and rock-type Pokémon, the power of the metal claw can be 1.5 times that of the original. For moves with dual attributes, this effect only adds to the actual attributes.
Most Gym Masters and Four Heavenly Kings prefer a specific attribute.
Note 2 special attack moves
A special move (special attack move) is a move that deals damage. If the special effects of moves are not specified, such moves use the attacking party's special attack and the defending party's special defense to calculate the final damage.
In the first generation, the damage of special moves is determined by both the attacking party's special and the defending party's special.
Some of the special moves are contact moves
Exceptions:
Psychic Shock, Mystic Sword, and Psychic Break use the target's defense instead of special defense to calculate damage.
Photon Surge, Armor weapons use the higher of the attacker's Attack and Special Attack to calculate damage.
Note 3 physical moves
A physical move is a move that deals damage. If the special effect of the move is not specified, such moves use the attacker's attack and the defender's defense to calculate the final damage.
Exceptions:
The spoof uses the attack target's attack instead of the attacker's attack to calculate damage.
Pounce uses the attacker's defense instead of attack to calculate damage.
Physical moves may not be exactly the same as contact moves
Starting in Generation IV, each non-altering move has its own category: special or physical
Note 4 Change moves
Change moves are moves that cannot directly cause damage. The power of such moves is all zero, although some moves can indirectly cause damage to the opponent by applying abnormal status.
Changing moves include but are not limited to changing the ability value of the opponent or oneself, applying abnormal status or status changes to the opponent, recovering one's own physical strength, changing the weather, changing the status of the field, and removing the abnormal status of oneself and the team.
Most of the change moves are not affected by the no effect in the attribute compatibility. For example, the song of perishing is a change move of the general attribute, but it is effective for the ghost attribute Pokémon.
Pokémon without the Corrosion Ability cannot poison a Steel-type Pokémon with Poison. This is because Steel-type Pokémon are immune to the poisoned state, not because Poison has no effect on Steel.Other changes of the poison attribute can take effect on the steel attribute, such as gastric juice.
Rare exceptions include Electron Wave, which is set to have no effect on Pokémon that have no effect.
For example: Electromagnetic waves (in most cases) have no effect on Ground-type Pokémon; and Electromagnetic waves (used by Pokémon with normal skin traits) have no effect on Ghost-type Pokémon.
The main thing is to let myself remember it, I didn’t check the information, I really don’t know so many settings!
