A certain Hogwarts rune professor

Chapter 72 Luna Lovegood

Chapter 72 Luna Lovegood
Felix was eating breakfast leisurely, and little wizards came one after another. They had smiles on their faces and were joking with each other.

The whole auditorium is full of lively air.

Coming out of the auditorium, Felix walked towards the Forbidden Forest, and met Hagrid who was coming to the castle.

"Hello, Professor Haip." Hagrid greeted warmly.

"Hello, Hagrid. I got your present, and I like it very much," said Felix, especially the material it was made of.

"Ha, as long as you like it. By the way, the automatic mop you sent is quite useful. It cleans up the house," said Hagrid gruffly. "I don't have to worry about it. It even cleans itself."

After exchanging pleasantries, Felix came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. He was going to break off some chestnut sticks, and his stock was running low.

But halfway, he frowned.

On the snowy ground was a line of footprints heading straight towards the Forbidden Forest.

Felixby measured the size of the footprints, and it looked like a little wizard who violated the prohibition, so he followed the footprints.

Felix was walking in the snow, and there was no other sound except for the continuous "creaking" of snow and broken leaves under his feet. Before he knew it, he had come to the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

But it's quite remote here, in the northwest corner of the Forbidden Forest, quite close to the main entrance of Hogwarts - this is where the little wizards go to Hogsmeade village on weekends.

Felix stopped, and everything around him formed an atmosphere of silence—white snowflakes fell from the sky, and he raised his head, as if countless ice crystals were flying towards him.

Everything was silent, and the world was so empty that it seemed that he was the only one.

"Sizzling~"

A black creature that looked like a horse poked its head out from the Forbidden Forest. It glanced at Felix with silver-white eyes, sneezed, and then flung back a pair of big, black bat-like wings. Lin Zi.

"It turned out to be thestrals." Felix was a little surprised.

This is a fairly rare magical creature, and many wizards classify them as special invisible beasts-only those who have experienced death, witnessed death, and understand death can see them.

This trait has given them a bad reputation, and thestrals were once considered a sign of bad luck - comparable to the omen of death that a wizard encounters with a big black dog.But they are actually quite docile animals.

Felix became even more curious. He went deep into the Forbidden Forest, walked for about 2 minutes, and came to an open space.

In the snowy sky, a little girl stood among more than a dozen skinny thestrals. She held a handful of hay in her hand and handed it to the mouth of the thestrals closest to her.

He also heard her soft humming, which seemed very pleasant.

Felix waited for her to feed the withered grass in her hands before walking over. The sound of his footsteps woke up the little witch.

The girl looked up.She had wild, waist-length blond hair, very light eyebrows and eyes.

When he got close enough, he realized that the little witch actually had her wand stuck behind her left ear, and she wore toad glasses and a necklace of butterbeer corks around her neck.

At this moment, her eyes were fixed on the person who suddenly appeared.

A strange emotion welled up in Felix's heart, the weird little wizard... Could it be Ravenclaw?

"What's your name, which academy's little wizard?" Felix asked.

"Luna," she said in a voice that seemed to sing, "Luna Lovegood, my name, I have seen your public lectures, and you are a professor."

"Yes, obviously. What house are you from, Miss Lovegood?"

"Ravenclaw said that extraordinary wisdom is the greatest wealth of human beings."

Felix understood, as expected... He said reprimandingly, "Why did you go deep into the Forbidden Forest alone, don't you know it's dangerous?"

"They are not dangerous." Luna said in a trance, "Thestrals are very friendly. Do you want to feed them together?" She squatted down suddenly, brushed away the snow, and grabbed a handful of hay that was half green and half yellow.

She turned her light-colored eyes to him, and Felix noticed that her voice barely rose or fell when she spoke, but paired with an ethereal voice, it gave the impression that she was singing.

"No," he said.

So Luna turned around and fed the hay to a little Thestral as if no one else was there. It seemed to have just learned to walk, lowered its stiff limbs, and stuck out its tongue to lick Luna's fingers.

She hummed a strange little tune softly, and the snow fell on her clothes, accumulating a thin layer.

Felix's mood became calm, and he didn't try to break the atmosphere.

"You're feeling better?" Luna said.

"what?"

"You were just stalked by a bugger," said Luna sympathetically.
"I—what did you say?"

"The harassing gadflies . . . they sometimes float into your ears and mess up your mind," she said. "I thought I heard one buzzing around here just now."

Felix didn't think such a creature existed, but he asked her with great interest, "Can you be more specific, about the harassing gadfly?"

Luna showed a surprised expression, she held the toad glasses with one hand, and looked at Felix from behind them.

"The Harassflies... well, they're usually invisible, but they glow red with excitement when they want to do something to your brain."

"So, you saw it?"

"That's right," she said with absolute certainty, as if speaking some kind of truth.

For the first time, Felix became suspicious. He glanced around, but found nothing.

After a while, the two returned to the castle together.

On the way, he asked Luna, "Didn't you come home for Christmas?"

She said calmly, "Father has a deadline, The Christmas Issue, but we've got an appointment to hunt for the Snork during the summer."

Another unknown name, "Your father is—"

"Xenophilius Lovegood, editor of The Quibbler."

Felix said nothing, he knew the name of the paper.

Standing at the gate of the castle, Felix said to her, "I won't deduct points this time, go find your friends and have a merry Christmas."

"I'm very happy now." Luna said with a happy smile, and then she showed a thoughtful look, "You reminded me that I met a Gryffindor freshman before, and she looked It's nice, maybe we can be friends."

"Really? You can try it." Felix encouraged casually.

"I remember, she was holding a rooster in her hand." Luna said lightly, "But who doesn't have any strange hobbies."

"What did you say?" Felix raised his voice, but he quickly softened his tone again, "Do you know her name?"

Luna shook her head, two strands of hair on her forehead fluttered, "But her hair is beautiful, like a dancing flame."

 One more update, maybe later.
