Chapter 21 The Reckless Neville

Harry was terribly embarrassed now.

He even wanted to take off the gauze from his head, wrap it around his face, and pretend that he was Draco Malfoy.

However, this obviously can only exist in fantasy.

The reality is that Professor Forrest not only saw who he was, but also heard the conversation between him and Ron just now.

Ron was even more at a loss, he stammered and shouted.

"Fufufu, Professor Forrest."

Before the speechless Sherlock could speak, Filch over there lectured them with a stinky face.

"The curfew is less than half an hour away. What do you want to do running around the castle dressed like this?"

Harry hurriedly explained.

"We just came from Madam Pomfrey, and Professor Dumbledore asked us to go to the school hospital for treatment of the fall."

His words became smaller and smaller as he spoke, and in the end he was not much louder than a mosquito.

Sherlock looked at the two of them strangely, and when he saw Harry and the others driving a flying car on the train, he recalled some plots.

He remembered that the two of them should not have suffered such serious injuries in the original book.

"I saw you greeting me from the sky while I was on the train, and I thought you would finally land safely."

Hearing what he said, Harry and Ron were even more ashamed to see others, and wished they could tuck their heads into their collars.

"Just now, you seem to have said that you will ask for leave from my class tomorrow? Is the injury so serious?" Sherlock asked flatly.

Harry seemed to be in a hurry to speak, but he choked on his own saliva and coughed several times before he managed to explain.

"Professor Ron and I were joking, we didn't suffer any serious injuries, Madam Pomfrey didn't even keep us in the hospital for observation, she used a magic bandage to protect the wound, it will be fine in two days, it won't affect the class, it won't affect the class .”

Sherlock nodded slightly.

"That's good. I don't want students to ask for leave before my first class begins."

"Professors who we promise will not be absent!"

"Go back and rest."

Hearing what he said, Harry and Ron, as if they were pardoned, ran back to the Gryffindor lounge in a hurry like two weasels who were caught stealing chickens but failed.

"You shouldn't let their Professor Forrest go so easily. Just now these two students deliberately skipped class, you should punish them for confinement!"

Filch seemed a little resentful that Sherlock let Harry and the others go so easily.

The main reason is that Sherlock's external image was too successful, making Filch mistakenly think that he and Snape are the same kind of person.

Also hate mischievous students, especially Gryffindors.

"They just have this idea, and as long as the idea is not put into action, they should not be punished."

Seeing that he said this, Filch stopped talking, but led Sherlock to continue walking in the direction of the Gryffindor lounge.

They also met other little Gryffindor wizards on the way. Although Sherlock could see that Filch wanted to punish them, he had nothing to do with them since it was not yet curfew time.

Just as he walked to the corridor where the entrance to the Gryffindor lounge was located, a rash boy suddenly bumped into Sherlock accidentally.

At the same time when the boy's body was in contact with him, Sherlock suddenly felt a burning sensation at the crescent-shaped birthmark on his left arm!

That feeling was so short-lived that he even wondered if it was his own illusion.

Sherlock frowned, looking down at the boy who hit him and fell to the ground.

He has a round face, a slightly fat body, black hair is a little messy, and his face looks pale because of fear.

Sherlock held out a hand towards him, trying to help him up from the ground.

But the boy just glanced at him timidly, and then got up from the ground by himself.

"Hold, I'm sorry, Professor Forrest, I, I ran too fast just now, so I didn't see you."

"Never mind," said Sherlock, and then he asked, seemingly casually, "What's your name?"

The boy lowered his head, it seemed that he was not very courageous.

"Neville Longbottom."

"Longbottom" Sherlock repeated the boy's last name.

The name is no stranger to him.

Because in the first plot he is most familiar with, the boy in front of him has appeared, and it seems to occupy a very important position in the following plots.

But why did the birthmark on his left arm burn up again when he hit him?

The last time there was a reaction to the birthmark was when I met Malfoy and his son at Lihen Bookstore. At that time, the burning sensation was very strong. Now I met Neville, but the burning sensation was only for a short moment.

So what's the connection?
Because of the lack of clues, Sherlock couldn't think of anything in common between Neville Longbottom and Malfoy.

And just as he was thinking, Neville asked in a small voice.

"Can I leave, Professor."

Only then did Sherlock come back to his senses, and he patted Neville on the shoulder casually.

"Go back and rest."

Hearing his permission, Neville turned and ran to the entrance of the Gryffindor lounge, gave the password and climbed in.

Watching his back disappear, Sherlock looked thoughtfully at the hand he had just slapped on Neville.

After making contact with the boy's body again, the birthmark on the left arm did not respond again, which made him wonder whether the burning sensation just now was his illusion.

"Gryffindor students are reckless! They can't even see how to walk. They really should teach the children in this academy a lesson and let them know what the rules are!"

Filch looked at Sherlock in a daze, thinking that he was still concerned about what happened when Neville bumped into him just now, so he taught these lessons for Sherlock on his own.

Sherlock shook his head, not bothering about the hot birthmark anymore.

The crescent-shaped birthmark was most likely left by the wizard mother of the original owner.

As for Professor McGonagall, the Weasleys, Hagrid, and Dumbledore, the reason why they took such good care of the original owner was probably because they were familiar with the original owner's mother.

Judging from the description in the diary, the original owner didn't seem to know why his lunatic mother had such a close relationship with these famous wizards in the magic world.

Sherlock felt that when the right time came, he could start from this point.

Ask Dumbledore or Professor McGonagall directly about their relationship with their mother, and the origin of the birthmark on their body.

The information obtained in this way is definitely far more reliable than guessing here alone.
