Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1013 The whole story

Amosta walked across the wet grass, walked towards the castle with great strides, and stopped at the bottom of the marble steps.

On the stairs, Dumbledore and Madame Maxime stood side by side, looking at him with burning eyes. Fleur ran out in her suspender pajamas, clasping her hands in front of her chest, looking at him with worry on her face. After sending all the students back, Severus and Minerva also hurried out of the hall.

"Oh, sorry, it looks like I caused a bit of a commotion--"

Amosta seemed to be in a good mood, he said with a smile.

Dumbledore's silver beard, dyed golden by the bright torches, fluttered slightly in the wind. His sharp gaze was fixed on Amosstar's face without saying a word. Seeing his expression, Professor McGonagall also remained silent, with a look of distress on her face.

As for Madam Maxime and Fleur, they were not members of the Hogwarts staff and would not speak nonsense on this occasion.

"Who are you fighting with?"

Severus, on the other hand, had no taboos. He took a step forward, his slightly pale face and his dark eyes filled with anger.

"You know, the Forbidden Forest is inhabited by a large colony of eight-eyed spiders—"

Amosta smiled unmoved,

"This group of evil dark creatures are rampant in the Forbidden Forest, squeezing out the living space of other creatures. Moreover, they eat everything, including human flesh, of course. So, I took some action to restrict them."

"What suddenly occurred to you to do this, Amosta?"

Dumbledore asked quietly.

"Oh, this is to prepare for the upcoming Triwizard Tournament. I don't want these dark creatures to come out and disrupt me during the third game."

Amosta responded to Dumbledore's gaze calmly.

Silence fell, and everyone could feel the tense atmosphere dissipating in the breeze.

"That old spider, I mean Aragog, he's Hagrid's friend--"

After a long moment, Dumbledore sighed.
"You have considered everything, Amosta. For the safety of the students, it is necessary to place appropriate restrictions on it and its descendants. But Amosta, you know that Hagrid has deep feelings for Aragog. If you hurt it, it will also hurt Hagrid's feelings."

"Ah, that's why I made such a big noise—"

Amosta shrugged his shoulders, his attitude relaxed.
"You know, that old spider is very stubborn. The defeat in the previous war with the centaurs made it even more irritable and aggressive. It completely refused to listen to my advice. It was precisely because I wanted to avoid greater conflicts and casualties that I had to make some big noise to scare it—"

"Is it?"

Dumbledore frowned slightly, and his breath relaxed.
"No casualties?"

"Maybe a few little spiders got scared and died, but Aragog is fine. They have agreed to migrate deeper into the Forbidden Forest."

Amosta said frankly.

Dumbledore fell silent again, but his expression softened a lot.

"I'm sorry, ma'am—"

Amosta turned his gaze to Madame Maxime and bowed slightly.

"I disturbed you and your students' rest."

"It's all right, Amosta--"

Maxim said cautiously,

"You are here for the third game. Are you planning to hold the third game in the Forbidden Forest?"

Fleur, who was standing next to Maxime, suddenly became lively with her flickering eyes. Viktor, who had led the Durmstrang students to check what was going on, also perked up after hearing this. He immediately turned his head to look at the dark primitive jungle, and his thin shoulders trembled.

In the corridor on the side, several heads poking out from the corridor holes also showed excited expressions.
"I had guessed that this was a possibility."

Harry said quietly.

"That's exactly the plan."

Amosta nodded and smiled, revealing limited information was nothing.

Hearing this, Madame Maxime also looked towards the Forbidden Forest, looking thoughtful.

"Well, that's enough for tonight--"

Amosta turned to look at the students of Durmstrang.

"You can go back and rest."

Then, Viktor began to evacuate with his classmates, and after Madame Maxime said goodbye to Dumbledore, she took Fleur's hand and walked down the stairs. Fleur's eyes were always glued to Amosita until they were far away.

"Were they discussing the spider, ma'am?"

The breeze brought the staccato sound of Fleur asking Maxim for advice.

"This is not something we can intervene in, Furong, it's best not to get too involved."

Maxim's warning also followed.

Now, there were only a few people from Hogwarts left in front of the entrance hall, and, except Amos Tower, they were all members of the Order of the Phoenix.

"The Dark Lord will know what happened tonight."

Severus' face turned pale, and he spoke in a purely narrative tone, while Dumbledore did not respond but looked at Amosta, who nodded after a brief pause, and then he looked towards the corridor on the side of the entrance hall.

"Sirius, what are you doing in Hogwarts?" "Oh, I'm here to tell you something, ahem. Dumbledore already knows the situation, you can ask him about it. I'm in a hurry, I have to leave after talking to Harry for a few words, so I won't catch up with you, Amosta!"

Having said that, Sirius retracted his head guiltily and pulled Harry and the others to a farther place.

"What on earth did he say?"

Amosta raised his brow.

"The school board held a private meeting--"

Dumbledore said calmly,

"More than two-thirds of the directors agree that the Malfoy family should return to the school board."

"Malfoy is going back to the board?!"

Professor McGonagall's voice contained anger. She glared at Severus and then looked at Dumbledore worriedly, "What will happen then, Albus?"

"Something will happen that we can expect," said Dumbledore.

"Oh, don't worry, Minerva, we can handle that."

And Amosta also assured,
"Don't worry, Professor McGonagall, we will indeed encounter some waves, but they will soon subside."

Harry and the other two were dragged by Sirius to a farther place. Harry looked at Sirius, who seemed to be a bit guilty, and asked in confusion,

"What's going on, Sirius, you look a little off?"

"Have it?"

Sirius wiped the sweat from his forehead and stretched his head to look towards the hallway to confirm whether anyone was following them.

"You don't seem to want to see Professor Blaine, do you, Sirius?"

Hermione narrowed her eyes and looked at him suspiciously.

"Oh, nothing. I just, ahem—"

Sirius retracted his neck. He noticed the strong desire for knowledge in Harry and the other two's eyes, and said in a timid tone,

"Some things are not suitable for you to know, ahem, it's like this--"

Sirius looked at Ron.

"Your brother, Ron, I mean Percy."

"Oh, Percy?!"

Ron immediately said angrily,
"What stupid thing did he do again?"

"Not so stupid this time--"

Sirius had obviously heard about Percy coming to Hogwarts and begging Amosta to let Umbridge into Hogwarts. He said in a disapproving tone,
"He has resigned from the Ministry of Magic and is currently working in Remus' workshop with his girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater."

Percy quit the Ministry of Magic and is dating Penelope again?

This sudden news made Harry and the other two look at each other in bewilderment. These two things were so "magical" that for a moment Harry and the other two didn't know where to start complaining.

"And one more thing—"

Sirius's expression became solemn. He looked at Harry and the other two who were looking stern and said,

"This is also the reason why I came to Hogwarts. The Hogwarts Board of Directors held a meeting, and I attended on behalf of the Black family."

"and many more!"

Hermione cried out immediately,
"The Black family is on the school board?"

"Why, didn't I tell you about this?"

Sirius scratched his head.

"But--"

Harry said in shock.

"In the second year, Lucius Malfoy was said to have obtained the support of all the directors of the school board to expel Professor Dumbledore from Hogwarts!"

"Oh, it's not my fault, Harry—"

Sirius said innocently,

"I was still in Azkaban at the time, so I couldn't object to Lucius Malfoy's little plan. Oh, that matter has passed. What I want to tell you is that, under the promotion of the Ministry of Magic, the Malfoy family has returned to the Hogwarts Board of Directors. You see, Hogwarts may be in some trouble."
