Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1166 Luna's Wisdom

Perhaps it is because Mr. Lovegood's home is located between two gentle peaks, and the wind here is not as strong as at the foot of the mountain.

As night falls, the stars appear.

The wispy mist on the top of the mountain moving with the breeze makes the ancient galaxy graceful and dreamy.

Although they are in the same place, the scenery on the mountain and at the foot of the mountain is very different.

boom!
An unexpected explosion shook Egwene out of her thoughts, as she was looking at the starry sky in a strange and sad mood. She quickly turned her head to look back.

The explosion occurred on the second floor of the house, and confetti scattered all over the living room, with a lot of it flying outside the house.

"What happened, Mr. Lovegood?"

Egwene shouted in panic and rushed into the yard to go into the house to check the situation.

"Don't be nervous, Egwene—"

Luna, who was in the yard introducing Bonnie to those strange plants, said with a smile, her silver eyes shining with an ethereal light under the starry sky.

"Is the printer broken again, Dad?"

After preventing Mrs. Senna from entering the house to "make trouble", Luna herself shouted at the second-floor window,

"Do you need my help?"

"Cough cough!"

There was a choking cough from the window.
"It's just a small problem, Luna. I can solve it. You and Bona can continue your research--"

Mr. Lovegood called out from across the room.

To Egwene's surprise, Luna really didn't care. She squatted down again, holding the hem of her pajamas. She didn't care about the crystal water droplets dripping on her dark golden hair, and continued to pick a kind of orange-red radish-shaped fruit from a cluster of lush bushes for her and Bona.

Luna squeezed the juice from the radish fruit and smeared it on the tip of Bona's nose, drawing a clown-like nose for her, which made Bona giggle.

"Luna, Mr. Lovegood really doesn't need any help?"

After hesitating for a long time, seeing that the clanging sound on the second floor had not stopped, Egwene couldn't help but ask.

Luna, who was squatting on the ground, turned her head and glanced at Egwene. The pure light in her eyes made Egwene dazed.

"If Dad needed help, he would have told me, but he didn't, so don't worry."

Luna's voice was as vague as the thin mist above their heads.

"Bona--"

Luna clapped her hands, held up her skirt and stood up. She said to Bona happily:
"Go wash your nose. Next I'm going to teach you how to make carrot earrings."

"Okay, Sister Luna—"

Bona jumped up from the ground, ran into the house, and rushed into the kitchen to rinse her nose.

"Egwene--"

The loose hair from Luna's casually tied ponytail was blown to touch her white cheek stained with some mud, and her silver eyes were fixed on Egwene.

Touched by that insightful look, Egwene's heart began to beat faster.
"W-What's wrong, Luna?"

Egwene was a little nervous.

"Are you worried?"

Luna's hands hung naturally at her sides, and the ethereal smile on her lips looked a bit strange and mysterious in Egwene's eyes!
"Oh, w-what. I didn't--"

Egwene hurriedly avoided Luna's gaze, but then she became a little unconvinced. After all, the girl in front of her was just a teenage girl.

"I'm just not sure if Bonny's dad can cook for himself and his friends. You know, not every man is as good at cooking as Mr. Lovegood. Most of them can't even make an omelette--"

Egwene lied.

Luna's light golden eyelashes twitched suddenly. Still smiling, she turned around and picked two carrots from the bush.

After fiddling with the fruit for a few times, the stem of the fruit split open and Luna clamped the two small carrots between her ears.

Seeing that Egwene was still uneasy, Luna shook her head as if to drive away something.

"It's okay, Egwene. You don't have to say it if you don't want to."

So, Egwene blushed at the words of a teenage girl.

Looking at Luna who was fiddling with the fruit again, as if planning to get a pair of earrings for Bona as well, Egwene moved her lips and then closed them.

After repeating this many times, Ewen couldn't help but ask,

"Luna, what you said this afternoon, I mean, about what happened with Mr. Brian, are they all true?"

The light in Luna's eyes was still pure, without any unnecessary curiosity. She nodded.

"He is the best professor, the wisest and most powerful wizard. With him around, I don't worry too much about You-Know-Who."

Ewen's heart ached, she thought that John and his friends at the foot of the mountain might be planning something.

Egwene's face was filled with worry and hesitation, but Luna didn't ask any more questions. She just looked at Egwene quietly.

Egwene's low voice was drowned out by the sudden mountain breeze.

"Mom, Sister Luna!"

Bona, whose nose had been rubbed red by herself, came running back, her pigtails on her head twitching.

"What are you talking about!"

"I know if John is real"

Egwene's narration, tinged with tears, was interrupted by her daughter's innocent voice.

"Your mother said she forgot to get your pajamas, Bonna—"

Luna put the carrot earrings she had just made into Bona's hands.

"I'll go get you Bona. You and Egwene go take a shower first."

Before Egwene could stop her, Luna trotted into the house.

"Dad, I'm going out for a while and will be back soon--"

Luna stood at the spiral staircase and shouted upstairs.

"Need to take your wand with you, Luna?"

Mr. Lovegood shouted amid the clanking sounds.

Luna's eyes sparkled.
"No, Dad."

Then, with a flash of fire, Luna appeared in Egwene's dark little house.

"Bona's Pajamas"

Looking at the girl with lively eyes in front of the fireplace, John blinked in confusion, and then suddenly realized,

"You are... Oh, Luna, Mr. Lovegood's daughter, who lives over the hill?"

The voice drew Luna's attention to a man in his twenties whose features looked somewhat similar to Bona's.

Ignoring the two wands and the hidden hostility in the room, Luna nodded happily.
"I'm Luna Lovegood, Mr. Senna, and Egwene asked me to help Bonar get her pajamas."

Angris' eyelids trembled slightly, and he slowly lowered his wand. As if changing his face, the coldness on his face disappeared, and he held his forehead and shook his head, smiling bitterly.
"Ah, I thought you were asking me for gold. My business just went through a terrible failure, and I can't afford another Galleon. By the way, why didn't Egwene come herself?"

"She's bathing Bonna—"

Luna said, looking at John.

"The temperature over there is very low, Mr. Senna. I'd better go back quickly, or Bona will catch a cold—"

"Ooh!"

John came to his senses immediately, said sorry to Mr. Angelis in shame, and then rushed to the second floor.

After watching John run up to the second floor, Luna turned around, opened her eyes wide, and looked at the faces in the room without any hesitation, as if she didn't feel the tense atmosphere in the room at all.

The gray-eyed wizard holding a staff at the door froze for a moment, then Luna looked at Angris and asked again in a rather 'unconventional' way,
"Are you guys chatting?"

"It's just a bunch of losers getting together to complain about the awful world, beautiful lady—"

Angelis said with a smile,
"Would you like to join us?"

"It seems we can't reach a consensus—"

Luna said,
"I think the current situation is pretty good. Of course, it would be better if there were no mysterious person causing trouble."

Thumb, thump, thump!

John went upstairs to Bonna's bedroom, grabbed the pajamas thrown at the end of the bed, and rushed downstairs breathlessly.

John was surprised to see Mr. Angelis chatting with Luna in a gentle voice.

Mr. Angelis had such a scary expression on his face when Luna broke into the room just now.

"Goodbye, Mr. Senna—"

After getting Bonna's pajamas, Luna waved to everyone, humming a song and skipping to the fireplace.

Under Angris's deep gaze, Luna shook the bag vigorously, threw the last bit of Floo powder from the bag into the fireplace, and her figure disappeared in the exploding green flames.

"Nothing happened!"

Egwene was standing in front of the fireplace in the castle cottage, pacing back and forth anxiously. When Luna walked out of the fire just now, she couldn't wait to greet her.

But before Egwene could ask, Luna smiled and said,
"There are only a bunch of people complaining. It's getting late, Egwene, go to bed quickly. Tonight, you and Bona will sleep in my room."
