Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1395: Part 4: Separation and Reunion

"Oh, I appreciate your kindness, Headmaster Dumbledore, but I think I can handle this."

Amosta turned his head and nodded slightly to Dumbledore, who was hanging on the wall and feeling uneasy.

"What are you going to do with me?"

Looking back, the woman across the desk concealed her inner pain with a smile on her face.

"Using the word 'deal with' makes me seem a little inhumane—"

Amosta picked up the teacup, and his expression suddenly became obscure.
"You resurrected Voldemort, which is a crime that cannot be concealed, but the wizarding world will never forget that without your great help in the Battle of Hogwarts, the young wizards might not have been able to escape in time, so--"

Amosta's calm gaze enveloped Vitia;
"What do you think of your future?"

How gentle.
Vitiya smiled, and the grief lingering in her heart unexpectedly dissipated a lot.

She raised her hand to push away the hair that was still a little dry in front of her eyes, and her emerald eyes flashed with memories.

“The happiest day of my life.”

A silence.

"That was the most carefree time in my life in the orphanage."

The melancholy sigh echoed in Amosta's office, but it could not stir up the humble dust in the sun.

"That's definitely not possible—"

Amosta pursed his lips and spoke in a low and hoarse voice.

"I'm sure you know that, apart from being sent to Avalon Prison, if you are not under my constant observation, many wizards in the wizarding world will not be able to sleep peacefully."

"So I don't have to spend the rest of my life in prison?"

What emerged in Vitia's heart was not curiosity, but joy.

Amosta's implication was that she didn't have to stay too far away from him.

Seeing Amosta standing up from his seat and walking towards the window, Vitia followed him. The two of them stood side by side in front of the window, basking in the rare warm sunshine in winter.

Young people are always indomitable.

The wizarding world is still mourning the passing of Albus Dumbledore and the many victims of the Hogwarts Crusade.

But some young people who returned to Hogwarts have taken the lead in walking out of the haze and started to have fun in the bright campus.

"I have a plan—"

The vitality that filtered through the window into the office also relieved Amosta's deep expression. He looked up at the shadow in the sky.
"After the destruction of the twin snake staff, the island of Avalon is no longer as dangerous as before, but since I intend to use the monsters on it as a necessary test for the young wizards of Hogwarts to graduate, the island still needs a caretaker."

"I am willing."

The voice beside me came to me without hesitation.

Amosta paused for a moment,
"Your sentence is twenty years, and you get one day off every Christmas and Hogwarts Victory Day.
Of course there is no salary, but the elves at Hogwarts will take care of your meals. What do you think?"

"There."

Vitia looked up at the island in the sky. Her face was pale and beautiful under the sunlight and shadow. She was absent-minded for a while, then looked at Amosta with a gentle tone.

"Can you see Hogwarts?"

There was a silence, and Amosta put his hands behind his back.
"If it's at night, you can see the lights of Hogwarts."

That's good. That's good.
At this moment, the quietness and tranquility lingering in the office will comfort the hearts of both people for many years to come.

"Go ahead. On the island, you are authorized to use magic—"

After a long time, Amosta said, he looked deeply at Vitia Kleona, raised his hand, and prepared to send her away.

"Goodbye."

Vitia stared at the young face whose vitality had long been washed away by majesty, and let the hazy space envelop her.

Before the figure was swallowed by the space, the usually calm face suddenly showed a bright and playful smile.

"Thank you. There are many girls who have always loved you, Amosta, you know what I mean."

"I agree with that."

Dumbledore on the wall couldn't wait to speak.
"As far as I know, even in this school."

"Headmaster Dumbledore?"

Amosta glanced sideways.
"Currently, the magic community in various places are spontaneously holding activities to commemorate you. Can't you go and show your support? Why do you have to stay in my office?"

"Oh, I just—"

Dumbledore seemed to have listened to the advice. He stood up from the picture frame and straightened his purple and gold-edged wizard robe.

Before leaving, he smiled at Amosta with a more serious tone and a complicated expression.
“I don’t want you to make the same mistake again.”

Hagrid's Hut.

The kettle on the stove was bubbling with smoke, and Yaya was lying in front of the cabin door, lazily basking in the sun.

"You've ruined the flavor of my signature dish, Dom..." Looking at the plate of crispy and fragrant rock cakes that Dom brought to the table, Hagrid wiped his red eyes and complained to the frightened Dom.

Hermione, who was discussing with Remus about Professor Blaine's 'out-of-line' move to bury Dumbledore and Grindelwald together, glared at Hagrid when she heard this.

"Anyway--"

Remus sighed slightly sadly.

"That is certainly what Albus would have hoped for. Amosta knows him, and he is just making up for his regrets."

The corners of Harry's mouth twitched.

He didn't know much about the grudge between Grindelwald and Professor Dumbledore, but that night at the Hog's Head Inn, Professor Dumbledore's dependence on and intimacy with the wizard who was as notorious as Voldemort was visible to the naked eye.

He even called him 'Gail'.
"There has always been some conspiracy theorists in the magical world--"

Tonks stroked her belly, looking a little sad.

"I can imagine that there will be some negative comments about Amosta in the next period of time."

"What is it?"

Harry questioned, and Hagrid and Hermione, who were arguing about Dom's treatment, stopped their "dispute" and turned their eyes over.

"For example, Amos Tower is deliberately trying to discredit Dumbledore in order to enhance his own reputation."

Tonks said, and Remus smiled weakly, not arguing the argument.

"What nonsense!"

Hermione scolded loudly, and Harry also turned pale.

"what are you guys saying?"

Sirius stepped over Fang's body and walked into the room, immediately noticing the unhappiness lingering in the air.

"Just discussing Amosta's insistence on burying Albus with that man. Is Amelia gone?"

Remus seemed to not want to extend the subject and have to discuss some of the gossip about Albus's youth in front of these children.

"I went with Percy and Penelope."

Sirius rolled his eyes at Remus, who was smiling bitterly.
"They said that since you were not in the workshop, they had to get back as soon as possible."

After only a small complaint, Sirius looked at Harry, Ron and the others with great interest.
"You won't believe this, but on my way here just now, I saw Neville dating Hannah from Hufflepuff!"

"Neville and Hannah!"

Harry's green eyes widened.

"Oh, Merlin's beard, Neville?"

Ron also puffed up his cheeks in surprise.

"He's not as shy as he used to be, is he?"

Hermione said this in a rather disapproving tone, but then she frowned slightly and muttered,

"But I never noticed any signs of this?"

"Oh, that's because Neville was interested in you before, Hermione."

Ginny, who was leaning against Harry, chuckled.

"So I'm especially restrained in front of you."

"That's nonsense, Neville. I just give him some help with his studies occasionally. That's all!"

Hermione's flushed cheeks showed that she was not completely unaware of it.

"Oh, come on, you're kidding yourself--"

Lavender also looked at Hermione with a playful look, not too surprised by this.

Harry and Ron looked at each other in astonishment, and then Ron frowned and stared at Hermione.

"How many secrets does Hogwarts have that we don't know about?"

"I'm afraid there are a lot of—"

A mixed laugh sounded, causing exclamations to suddenly ring out in Hagrid's hut.

"Remus, Sirius, and Harry -"

Amosta, who only heard the voice but not the person, said gently,

"Can you come to my office? I have already notified Severus—"

ps: Sorry, sorry, everyone. Because I’m working on a new book, the extra chapter has been delayed for so long.

It’s like this, the new book is basically a flop (bitter smile). For the next period of time, I will update one to two chapters of the extra story every week.

In addition, since the original work failed, I will write another fan fiction to calm down. This time I will move faster and publish the book around the end of May. I hope you will not despise me and support me. Thank you! (End of this chapter)
