Chapter 3198: Dreams of the Past

Chapter 3198: Dreams of the Past
The book was placed next to the pillow. Xia De kept the quilt covering his body, held the bed with one hand, and put his head under the bed.

Because of the lack of light in the room, it was pitch black under the bed. When Shade stared into the darkness, two women's heads that were almost fused together suddenly rushed out from the darkness under the bed.

Xia De was startled, then said to the bottom of the bed:

"Meghan, Audrey, aren't you guys at 7 St. Teresa's Square next door? How did you suddenly appear from under the bed?"

The two sisters smiled and held onto the edge of the bed with their four arms, revealing their two bodies in their nightgowns:

"Of course, it's to prevent others from noticing us leaving the room. Oh, the others haven't arrived yet? See you later then."

With that, the Miss Edwardses hid back under the bed, and even Shade could hardly detect their presence after holding his breath and concentrating.

He then sat up again on the bed and was about to discuss with "her" who would be the next to arrive when the cat in the closet suddenly meowed.

"Sorry! Mia, I really didn't know you were here!"

Sylvia walked out of the closet while apologizing to the cat. Shade hurriedly got out of bed to comfort the cat. When the closet was closed again, the young black-haired witch smiled and said:

"What do you think, Xia De? This way of appearance is quite creative, right? I was planning to scare you, but I didn't expect that I was scared by Mia instead."

"You can't scare me. You're too late."

"Yes, yes. I know you are a very brave person. So the others haven't arrived yet? Then let's give them a surprise later."

As she said that, she crawled under the bed, and then there were the sounds of being frightened by Megan and Audrey again.

“They really are.”

He returned to his bed, but just as he picked up the book, he suddenly looked towards the window. A shadow flashed behind the curtains, and then Carina walked out with a smile:

"Did it scare you?"

"What are you all doing?"

"Lecia hasn't arrived yet? I'm going to scare her soon!"

As he spoke, he also crawled under the bed, and then there was another round of voices coming from under the bed. Xia De grabbed the quilt and didn't know what to say for a moment, but this time he learned his lesson and didn't go to get the book again. Two minutes later, he really heard footsteps in the bedroom where no one was walking.

Looking towards the door, a dark shadow slid towards the bed quickly along the floor. When the shadow got closer, I realized it was Vanessa's head. She came out from under the floor, smiled and threw herself into Shad's arms, who was leaning against the pillow at the head of the bed, and hugged him.

The hug between the two allowed Shad to see behind her. He clearly saw eight hands stretched out from under the bed, trying to grab Vanessa's legs. But she quickly broke away from Shad's embrace, and those arms were retracted:

"Am I the first one here? Oh, they are so slow. I want to scare them."

Then, as expected, she also crawled under the bed. Then Vanessa screamed, but the sound soon disappeared. Shad guessed that someone covered her mouth.

"Can so many people really hide under this bed?"

He thought suspiciously, and considered whether he should go down and take a look.

All four witches arrived. Just as Shad was wondering if there was a secret abnormal space under the bed, he felt something in the quilt grabbing his legs.

When I lifted the quilt, red-haired Leicia came out:
"Good evening, Shad."

Her Royal Highness smiled brightly, not giving Xia De any chance to interrupt:
"It's so quiet here. Am I the first one here? Why are they being so reserved? Since they are so modest, I will not be polite now!"

Karina, who had crawled half of her body out from under the bed, reached into the quilt and grabbed Lecia's legs, then pulled her out of the quilt with a sudden force and dragged her from the end of the bed to under the bed.

"This"

Shade blinked his eyes and found that there was no sound under the bed, so he went to tidy up his quilt. After waiting for a few minutes, the door of the room was opened normally, and Luvia and Dorothy, holding hands and wearing slippers and nightgowns, walked in with very light footsteps.

The writer looked around the room in confusion:

"Shad, Leicia just said that she was swallowed by the resentment under the bed and asked me to come here to save her. What does this mean?"

Luvia was also looking around the room. She felt surprised that they were the first to arrive.

However, with Resia telling Dorothy, they were obviously not scared, so the witches all complained and crawled out from under the bed. Resia followed her aunt, stood up and jumped to Dorothy's side, pointing at Carina and said:
"Look, this is the resentment under the bed."

The interior of the room had long been shielded from the spread of sound by a powerful magic spell, and the bed bottom had been swept very clean so the girls were not covered in dust or stains, so joking with each other would not affect what was to follow.

"What are you all doing hiding under the bed?"

Luvia asked the witches with a smile. Megan and Audrey, who were the first to crawl under the bed, did not want to explain:
"Then let's get started. Oh, there's not much time left until dawn."

"Is everyone here?"

Sylvia asked, and Vanessa put her hand on her waist and counted carefully:

"Grace and Helen don't participate in such occasions. The Red Moon Witch hasn't arrived yet, Shade, do we need to wait for her?"

"Danniste might be embarrassed. She probably won't come."

Xia De knew the administrator's personality very well, but Jialina was a little dissatisfied with this:
"It seems like she's not ready to fully join this family, but that's okay, we'll let her join in a bit."

"You want to pull her over?"

Shade inquired, noticing that the girls in various nightgowns had sat down on the bed, with only Vanessa and Luvia still standing.

"Yes, but there is another question: your bed is too small. Are you going to let only a few people get on it, and let the others stand aside and watch?"

Vanessa asked, and Shad quickly shook his head, the scene was really weird.

He wanted to say that he had decided to sleep on the floor tonight, but the blonde 13th-level Earth Witch had already opened her right palm, and an ancient crystal appeared.

It was called "old" because the crystal was not only covered with blue and golden spots inside, but also covered with fine cracks on the surface, making it seem like it carried endless time. Its shape was like an oval gem, and the real core inside was a black spot of light.

The light blue and warm gold interweave together, giving people a dreamy and blurred feeling as it appears. The light in the crystal trembles with the frequency of breathing, which is a warm and subtle vibration. When Shade stares at the crystal, the cracks on its surface are slowly expanding, and the slight whisper seems to call for the memories hidden deep in the soul.

Those memories slowly condensed in the air, floating in the mist in the bedroom, and gradually formed familiar scenes and sounds.
Shade shook his head violently, trying to free himself from the blurry dream. Although Vanessa hadn't introduced what this thing was, he still knew its name:
"Angel-level relic - the Core of the Ancients. Is this the relic you originally intended to use to expand my house?"

Vanessa smiled and nodded:

"Yes, I borrowed one from Siris for tonight. If it is allowed to form a long-term dream of the past, it is indeed very dangerous, but it is only a dream for one night, and it will be fine with us witches here."

"I remember Carina saying it was a one-time relic."

"It doesn't matter. There are still many in Siris's place. After all, the Forgotten Order has nowhere to use them."

She carefully handed the crystal to Xia De, who held it in both hands. He then discovered that among the cracks on the surface of the crystal, there was a small section that formed a sentence that could be interpreted:
[It’s not about missing someone or not wanting to leave, it’s just about remembrance and sadness. ]

"If it was really used, this would be the most typical case of abuse of relics. Don't modern scholars suspect that the reason for the end of the Witch Era might be the abuse of relics by those Witch Emperors?"

He whispered, and then saw that everyone was looking at him. After a little thought, Shade crushed the crystal with force. Then all the glowing nebula-like colors in the crystal condensed into the black light spot in the center, and finally merged into Shade's body.

The intense sadness for a moment made him close his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, the surrounding environment was still the interior of his bedroom, but there seemed to be a strange and sentimental light in the air.

"It seems that your mental power is indeed very strong. You succeeded so easily. This is already a fantasy dream of the past created by the Core of the Past. Theoretically, this can be considered a dream. Anyone who wants to wake up can completely escape from here.

Of course, in the case of Shade, the holder of the old core, in the dream, we all entered the dream in our own bodies."

Vanessa kissed Shade directly, then asked with a smile:

"Look, the touch is real, right?"

"Vanessa, you can't eat secretly."

Sylvia tugged at her sleeve, and Megan smiled and said:

"Shade, try to use the power of this relic to get the Red Moon Witch to come over. Or, why don't you communicate with her first? In any case, don't waste time. The flow of time in the dream created by the Core of the Old Ones is indeed different from reality, but time is not completely frozen after all."

"Wait a moment, I'll go and talk to her. I respect her choice."

After saying that, Shade disappeared, and when he came back holding the hand of the somewhat embarrassed red-haired girl, he found that the girls were no longer in the bedroom.
