Chapter 36 Mahayana Teachings

Chapter 36 Mahayana Teachings (Update )
The monks looked at Fayuan in amazement, and they all said:
“Brother Fayuan, have you forgotten how Brother Fazong was harmed by Yuan Yi? When the Demon Queen was assassinated at Yongning Temple, Brother Fazong was captured and killed by Yuan Yi. It was clearly this bastard who came up with the assassination plan!”

Monk Fayuan said:
"Brother Fazong sacrificed himself to become a Buddha, so what does it have to do with Yuan Yi? The failure to assassinate the Demon Queen is God's will, but as long as the court is in chaos, we will help Brother Faqing."

A monk said: "Why not assassinate Yuan Yi?"

Monk Fayuan said: "Yuan Yi is not qualified. Killing Yuan Yi will not bring chaos to the court. Only the Prince of Qinghe is qualified."

"Prince Qinghe is more prestigious than other clan members, good at politics and wise in decision-making. The current stability of the court is all due to him. More importantly, he is in charge of the sect and is close to the demon queen. He holds an important position. As long as he dies, there will be great turmoil in the court!"

"Only when the beast dies will the hyenas swarm over it. Qinghe King Yuan Yi is a beast, and Yuan Yi is just a hyena."

After hearing this, all the monks bowed in admiration. Fayuan then said:
"Bring people in!"

I only saw a few more believers escorting a man wearing Yulin Army uniform into the monks' room.

The man had his hands tied and a cloth stuffed in his mouth. He was forced to kneel in the middle of the monks' room by the believers in charge of escorting him.

After a while, another young Han Chinese man dressed in Yulin Army uniform walked into the monk's room.

"Wang Hui, the traitor who forced your family to be destroyed is already here. Now is the time for you to attain Bodhisattvahood."

When a young Yulin soldier named Wang Hui saw the person kneeling in the middle of the monk's room, his eyes became bloodshot and he began to breathe rapidly.

The Yulin soldier kneeling in the center showed a pleading look, and Monk Fayuan handed a dagger to Wang Hui.

The bound Yulin Army was Wang Hui's captain. When Wang Hui first joined the army, this young officer of the nationality took great care of Wang Hui, which made Wang Hui very grateful to him.

But soon the captain led Wang Hui to participate in military gambling. Originally, Wang Hui could win a little, but after getting addicted, she lost more and more. Not only did she lose all the money she brought from the army, she also owed a large sum of money.

At this time, the team leader was lending money to Wang Hui at a high interest rate. Wang Hui, who was desperate to lose money, didn't care about anything else and signed the contract to borrow the money.

Wang Hui, who was desperate with loss, lost everything again. Dui Zheng rushed to Wang Hui's house with the deed, not only robbed all her things, but also raped Wang Hui's young wife.

Wang Hui, whose family was destroyed, found out later that this was a way for the team leader to exploit the new recruits. Many of them became soldiers' slaves because of gambling debts.

Monk Fayuan whispered in Wang Hui's ear: "If you follow my Mahayana teachings, killing one person will earn you the status of a bodhisattva of one dharani, killing ten people will earn you the status of a bodhisattva of ten dharanis, and if you earn the status of a hundred dharanis, you will become a Buddha!"

Although Wang Hui was a member of the Yulin Army, he had never killed anyone before, and his hands began to tremble as he held the dagger.

Monk Fayuan said again: "If you don't kill people, people will kill you!"

The believers around him shouted in unison: "Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Amid the monks' shouts of killing, Wang Hui finally mustered up the courage, walked up to the front of the team and stabbed them with a knife.

The captain fell in a pool of blood. Wang Hui knelt on the ground. Monk Fayuan walked to him, pulled out the dagger from the captain's chest, cut off a strand of Wang Hui's hair with the dagger, and said softly:

"Congratulations, Junior Brother, for attaining the status of a Bodhisattva. Your sins have been eliminated, and your deceased wife can now go to the Pure Land."

Wang Hui immediately curled up and burst into tears, and several monks helped him down.

Monk Fayuan said, "Tomorrow I will visit King Yuanyi of Jiangyang."

"Senior brother, no!"

"Senior Brother Fazong was killed by Yuan Yi!"

Monk Fayuan chanted the Buddha's name and said, "Only King Yuanyi of Jiangyang can recommend Wang Hui to participate in the selection of King Qinghe's soldiers. Only then will we have a chance to assassinate King Qinghe."

Monk Fayuan said again: "After I entered the Jiangyang Palace, the matter of assassinating King Qinghe was handed over to you brothers. Wang Hui is the key to the assassination. We must spread Buddhism to him. Do you understand?" "I will obey my brother's order!"

When Su Ze returned home, his sister Su Yuyao had been standing at the door waiting for a long time. After seeing Su Ze, Su Yuyao immediately rushed over.

"Brother!"

Su Ze touched Su Yuyao's hair lovingly, then looked at the riding slave Ada standing at the door of the house, and asked with a smile:

"Is everything alright at home these days?"

Su Yuyao nodded and said, "With Su Da's help, we can't even burn all the firewood at home! I even shared some with the neighbors."

Su Ze nodded with satisfaction. Just when Su Ze was about to take his sister into the house, there was a sudden commotion outside the door.

After a while, Su Ze saw a familiar figure on the street. It was Princess Chenliu's personal maid, Lu Zhu.

Behind Luzhu were several servants carrying cloth. When they arrived in front of Su Ze's house, Luzhu bowed to Su Ze and said:
"Captain Su, the princess said that Captain Su took credit for his achievements but did not ask for any reward. Share the princess's reward with the brothers. We cannot let the righteous man fall into poverty because of his noble character."

"So the princess will give you ten more pieces of silk and two strong women as a reward. Captain Su, please accept them."

The neighbors around had been watching the scene in the alley for a long time. When they heard that Su Ze received a reward from the princess, they looked at Su Ze's handsome appearance with even more gossip.

Princess? Su Yuyao looked at Su Ze in confusion. Didn't my brother go to Yongning Temple to guard? How could he be related to a princess?

Su Ze looked at the silk on the servants' burdens, and saw the two strong women behind Lu Zhu. He once again felt that the ghost of Princess Chenliu was really lingering around, and that he was really feeding her with free meals.

I am a person with my own system! How can I bow down for a few pieces of silver?
But when he thought about the balance in the system account, Su Ze felt annoyed again.

The stolen gold bell cannot be sold directly, and it will take time to sell it after it is cast into a Buddha statue. The system will be refreshed in three days, and these silks will indeed be very useful to Su Ze.

Su Ze has to be on duty during weekdays, so Jianfu stays at home to take care of Su Yuyao and help with housework.

This is a drop in the bucket for Princess Chenliu, but it can greatly improve the living standards of Su Ze's family.

He also asked Lu Zhu to come to Jianyangli with great fanfare to publicize her noble character. This was an opportunity that came right to his doorstep to build momentum for him, and Su Ze could not think of any reason to refuse.

After giving the gift, Luzhu looked at Su Yuyao beside Su Ze and asked, "Who is this?"

"This is my roommate."

"It turns out to be the young lady from the Su family."

It turned out to be her sister, not her wife. Luzhu's eyes curved with a smile, and she said with a turn of her eyes:
"The Princess's Mansion is in need of a weaver girl. Captain Su is willing to let his sister go to the Princess's Mansion?"

As soon as this sentence was said, the girls in the neighborhood all showed envious looks.

Today there will be an extra chapter, just like yesterday, with normal updates in the morning and evening, and the rest will be updated after 12 o'clock.

How should I put it? As an old author who has completed two books, the performance of this book is not as good as the previous one. After all, the Ming Dynasty is a hot topic, while the Southern and Northern Dynasties are too obscure.

However, in terms of reader support and evaluation, it is much better than the previous one.

For this book, Feiniao has read a lot of historical materials, and this period of history is something I am interested in, so don't worry, I will definitely continue writing.

To sum up, the growth of collections is not ideal, or the number of words is too small. I will add more chapters recently to increase the number of words as soon as possible so that everyone can read it more refreshed.

Thanks to the book friends who voted for Feiniao!
Please continue reading!
