Chapter 19 The big golden guy is really powerful!
The Sword of the Emperor is a massive sword covered in flames created by the Emperor using his knowledge of the Warp and science.

This masterfully crafted blade is ablaze with leaping flames from hilt to tip. When swung, the flaming blade creates arcs of fire in the air, capable of cutting through the strongest armor with ease.

This sword is a curse upon the power of Chaos, and only the most powerful of demons can resist it. Ordinary demons will be utterly destroyed if they are simply struck by its flames.

This sword is capable of bringing true death to daemons, rather than simply banishing them to the Warp.

The emperor's brilliant power fell from the sky, a light even more dazzling than the sun.

In an instant, the two sides who were fighting in the Municipal Square just a second ago stopped at the same time.

Although the ten-thousand-year war between humans and demons in the outside world is still going on, in this square, whether it is the brave and fearless human warriors or the zombies whose souls have been sucked out by the demons, everyone stares blankly at the blazing sky pouring down from low-Earth orbit.

Just a second later, the powerful demon that caused headaches for the fearless vanguard warriors turned into a pile of ash on the ground.

This happened in every corner of this thousand-year-old city. The strange lights seemed to have life and intelligence. They penetrated into every house and under every piece of rubble, pulled out the hiding elements, and burned these aliens to ashes.

Even this two-headed demon, which was comparable to a great devil, could not withstand the power of the emperor's sword. It wailed, and its four tentacles danced wildly in the air, trying to put out the strange sky fire.

However, all this was in vain. No matter how it flapped, the flames were like maggots attached to its bones, burning its rotten and corrupted body into even more holes.

Garen fell from the air, and his heavy body crushed the hard marble bricks on the roof.

He wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes and looked at the sky quietly. The huge body of the demon gradually shrank until it turned into a humanoid creature and fell to the ground.

Even though it was beyond recognition, Galen recognized the humanoid creature on the ground at a glance. It was his father Pete who was assimilated by the devil.

He hurried over, squatted down, and held his father in his arms. The power armor's built-in life support device was activated to check Pete's physical condition.

Heavy footsteps came from behind, accompanied by the clanging sound of armor plates colliding with each other.

Garen turned his head and saw a tall and majestic figure walking out from the golden light. The golden armor on his body was gorgeous and brilliant. On the beautifully carved armor, huge and microscopic patterns kissed the body of the Lord of Mankind.

Soft and shiny black hair, a golden olive-core laurel wreath, a dazzling halo behind the head, and the majestic outline of the emperor also became softened, making people want to get close to this man.

A team of imperial guards and Sisters of Silence also marched out in an orderly manner from the golden light behind the Emperor.

The imperial guards were dressed in gorgeous golden armor, with red tassels on their heads proudly dancing in sync with their master's movements. It seemed as if these figures, carefully crafted by the emperor, could reassure the frightened victims just by standing there.

Encased in their signature Vowed Armour, with the Executioner's Greatsword at their fore, these fearless sisters stand by the Emperor like birds of prey in the night.

In front of the Guards and the Sisters stood a person that Garen didn't want to see, Horus, the Primarch of the Luna Wolves.

The Terminator Armor named Serpent Scales wrapped the majestic body of this Primarch. On his right arm was the Claw of Horus, a giant power claw made for him by Khyber-Hal, the Forge General of the Black Mechanicus. In his hand was the giant warhammer Worldbreaker, which was said to be made by the Emperor himself and given to his favorite son.

"Your adoptive mother was too deeply assimilated by the devil. The only thing I can do is to let her soul rest in peace."

The Emperor squatted down, placed his right hand on the Primarch's shoulder, and patted him gently a few times, comforting his son whom he had not seen for decades.

"Thank you, what should I call you?"

Galen pretended not to know the relationship between the two and asked in a puzzled tone.

"You may call me father, as your other Primarch brothers do."

The Emperor tried his best to make his words sound not distant, like a father talking to his son. This son of the Primarch seemed to have a special fascination with family affection.

Behind the two of them, although Horus still had a smile on his face, he had already begun to hate his newly returned Primarch brother in his heart.

Children who cry easily are more likely to be favored by their parents. Galen was like this at the moment in Horus' eyes. The Primarch who had just lost his adoptive mother received special favor from the Emperor, their father.

"I hope you can understand one thing, sometimes death is the best ending."

The Emperor looked at the unrecognizable Peter in his arms. The distortion and decay of his body had reached the genetic level. The poison of Nurgle would become a torture-like curse for the rest of his life.

Garen understood what the Emperor meant. He hugged his father's broken body tightly and said nothing.

When the Emperor saw what the Primarch had done, he stopped trying to persuade him.

"I will leave a silent nun behind. Her rich medical knowledge can provide some help."

"Thank you."

Garen thanked him sincerely. If the emperor had not intervened, he would have been forced to commit the inhumane act of killing his parents with his own hands.

"Now, there is one more problem left."

Garen stood up while holding his father in his arms, and looked up at the sky. The swirling clouds did not dissipate for a long time, and the black spot connecting to the subspace was still active.

The evil gods' plan failed, and this black spot will not grow into a new eye of terror that tears the star map apart, but its radiation pollution is still spreading.

"Giving up this planet is the best option."

The emperor gave timely advice.

Just as Garen was still undecided, a sharp sound of breaking through the air resounded through the sky, followed by a deep voice.
