Chapter 31 We Are All Alpharius

Chapter 31 We Are All Alpharius

Leman Russ was stunned for a moment, he felt that his lines had been snatched away by someone else.

Garen didn't care if his brother was in a trance, the sword was unstoppable. The blade hit his brother's chest armor at a weird angle.

Leman Russ rolled backwards and hit a steel wall, and the Axe of Winter flew out of his hand and landed twenty meters away from him.

Garen chased after him and prepared to fight again, but the Wolf King had already stood up. He drew the Siren's Bite from his waist and barely blocked his brother's sword as heavy as a mountain.

"They all said I was barbaric and belligerent, but I never expected there were crazier lunatics than me."

The Wolf King grinned and stared excitedly at the resolute face of his primarch brother who was so close to him. He became interested in this man.

At least, stronger than Horus.

"In fact, I am a civilian officer, just like every Primarch brother is destined to be at birth. You are a brave and warlike general, and I am a nerdy researcher."

Garen gritted his teeth and uttered a few words slowly. It was not easy to wrestle with the Wolf King. His brother was a natural warrior.

"Civil servant?" The Wolf King spat, his muscles flexed, and he slowly stood up against Garen's attack, even showing the potential to fight back.

"I have never seen a civil official so ferocious in swordplay and martial arts. It is simply the aesthetics of violence."

"Then you're going to see it today!"

Bang-!
The swords separated.

Cautiously, they began to turn in circles. Russ's excitement was palpable, gushing from him like the heat of a fire, his breath coming in a throaty rumble.

Garen was more stern and serious, but now he was equally excited, because he had never met an opponent with such superb swordsmanship.

Baron Nash doesn't count. That guy just relies on his weird strength to swing his sword mindlessly. He uses psychic energy and poison gas all the time. He's not a pure swordsman.

Russ threw himself back into the fight, this time swinging his chainsword at his brother. Garen met his blow with two-handed longsword, pushing the blow back in a shower of sparks.

For a moment they wrestled in pure combat, each pushing his sword so hard that the metal screamed and bit at the other. The spinning fangs of the Kraken against the flawless edge of the storm, neither side gaining the upper hand.

[Note: The Siren's Bite was Leman Russ's original sword. It was a huge and ornately decorated chainsword, the teeth of which were taken from the Kraken sea monster unique to Fenris.]

As the real battle began, the warriors of the Wolf Group roared in encouragement, slammed their weapons, and supported their lord with noisy voices.

The Fearless Vanguards were motionless at first, but finally responded as they saw the situation unfold. Led by Maxim, they quickly responded with shouts, competing with the Wolves for who was the loudest, cheering for their master as if they were at a tournament in Caesar's Colosseum.

"What is your purpose in coming to see me? It's impossible that you just want to see me, right?"

Garen pushed more strength into the locked shoulder and moved the blade closer to the wolf king's neck.

Russ pushed back without giving in, responding viciously, "I heard you have some new stuff, better materials for casting power armor."

"Your news is too fast. The new metal is still in the initial research and development stage. Whether it will be successful is unknown."

Galen narrowed his eyes at his brother. "Where did you get this information?"

The great sage Victor had confined himself to his own room just after he arrived, and the entire Fortress of Solitude was like an impenetrable wall.

Although the veterans didn't like him very much at that time, they were not willing to betray their genetic father and spread such important news.

"A report appeared quietly on my throne."

"Is this why you came to see me?" The Wolf King nodded. "I originally wanted to use the fact that we joined forces in the Battle of Fire Wheel to create a conflict and provoke you to fight me, so as to avoid being eavesdropped by spies."

The wolf king raised his eyebrows with a hint of admiration: "I didn't expect you to be so to my taste."

"This is the custom of Demacia. Meeting and fighting is the highest courtesy to show to friends."

Galen lied expressionlessly without blushing.

After being reminded by the Wolf King, Garen remembered something he had been ignoring, Alpharius, the Primarch of the 20th Legion.

Alpharius Omega, also known as the Last Primarch or the Serpent Lord, was one of the twenty Primarchs created by the Emperor of Mankind at the founding of the Imperium of Man.

Like the other Primarchs, he was abducted from the Emperor's laboratories on Terra by the Powers of Chaos and abandoned on a distant planet in an attempt to thwart the Imperium of Man's march towards galactic domination.

But in fact, Alpharius Omega are twins. The older brother is called Alpharius and the younger brother is Omega. They claim that they are two bodies controlled by one soul.

It could also be that the symbol of the three Alpha Legion is a three-headed snake.

According to his understanding, Alpharius was not thrown to other worlds by the power of chaos. It was his twin brother Omega who was thrown away, and Alpharius himself actually landed on Holy Terra.

The first Primarch to be recovered was not the filial son Horus, but the mysterious Alpharius.

Alpharius is not as tall and mighty as the other Primarchs, but his special ability allows him to perfectly replicate the person he wants to imitate, as long as the size difference is not too big.

Therefore, Alpharius can appear as a subordinate, or let his subordinates play him. Every soldier in the 20th Legion calls himself Alpharius, and no one knows who the real Alpharius is.

Galen speculated that the Space Wolves and the Dauntless Vanguard must be causing trouble for Alpharius, this bastard whose good and evil were unclear.

"what do you know?"

The wolf king keenly caught the subtle changes in his brother's expression and asked without hesitation.

"Some guesses, but I can't tell you."

Damn it! I've been sharing my heart with you, and we've even had a fight, but you still don't believe me? ? ? ?

The wolf king felt very unhappy.

Then he broke the stalemate and stepped back.

Garen pursued him relentlessly, and the two men struck at each other with heavy blows, their weapons clashing with a force strong enough to break bones.

If the Primarchs heard the cries of their followers, they did not show it. The force of their blows was driven by complete commitment, and the speed and precision were reinforced by the desire to win that simmered beneath the fraternal surface.

"My will is clear, tell me what you know!"

Russ was the stronger of the two, and used his weight and momentum to swing the Kraken's Fang with force, but Garen was more agile and broke Russ's balance with tricky blocks and stabs.

They hacked and tugged at each other, whirled and feinted, slicing through cloaks and furs, knocking ornaments off armor, and the clash of attack and defense reverberated through the heavens and earth, sharp and harsh with determination and speed.

"Unless you take my sword!"

Garen roared, and the steel of his heart was fully charged.
