Chapter 99 Ch98 Wilson and Chloe's Secret
Chapter 99 Ch.98 Wilson and Chloe's Secret
The Wilsons' house and Chloe's house are just two streets apart.
Roland, who came uninvited, received not only a surprised look from the concierge but also a fake smile from Orlando Wilson.
He asked Roland unkindly if he needed an extra servant to help him, as the journey would be difficult.
Then, he asked about his purpose.
His words were meant to test his relationship with his sister - and, more importantly:
Did she leave anything for you?
In fact, Roland wanted to come and see his brother. If he really loved Cherry as much as Randolph loved Beatrice, Roland was even willing to leave only a coin as a souvenir and return the rest of Cherry's inheritance to the man who lost his father and his sister.
But now…
He wouldn't give a single coin.
"My wife left me only a beautiful and fulfilling memory, Mr. Wilson. I miss her every moment of the day and night. I would like to ask you to tell me where my wife is buried. I hope to -"
Roland clearly saw him sneer at the corner of his mouth, then turned around and scolded the servant without listening to the end.
"How come you can't even take care of a person with eye problems!"
In the house, Roland also met a familiar person.
His Lordship, whom he had just visited.
Mings Chloe.
He was sitting on a chair with his knees supported, looking toward the door. When he saw Roland, he became extremely flustered.
"…Hello! What a coincidence! What a coincidence! Are you here to see Orlando as well?"
Without waiting for Roland to answer, he quickly stood up and pulled Orlando Wilson to the other side.
"We have something urgent..."
"Go ahead, gentlemen." Roland put his cane aside and watched them leave, turning a corner not far from the living room.
There is a staircase on the side of another corridor leading to the second floor.
White waves washed across the horizon, bringing their voices back as well.
Mingsi Chloe: '…Damn it! Why did he come to my house?!'
Wrench was also considerate enough to label Roland's name.
Orlando Wilson: 'How should I know? I didn't invite him.'
Chloe: 'I'm asking, what to do now!'
Wilson: "What should I do? Who do you think caused this disaster? Besides, I don't think he would doubt me, doubt a brother."
Chloe was visibly excited, and the words displayed in her sight became larger.
Chloe: 'Didn't you get any benefits?!'
Wilson: 'But I didn't put that drug in there.'
Chloe: "But you disposed of the body - I haven't asked you yet, exactly..."
Wilson: "I own a flour mill and there is a caravan going to the port recently. Do you understand? Don't ask me questions that I shouldn't ask. I am just helping you."
Chloe sneered: "Don't think I don't know what you got from her, Wilson..."
Wilson's voice remained unchanged: "That's what I deserve. I am the only heir of the Wilson family."
The two were quiet for a while.
Chloe: 'Okay, okay, we both have valid reasons, and we're both happy with what we've gained, so that's good. Now, now we have to find a way to get rid of that little crow... and keep your mouth shut!'
Wilson sneered: "What can he do to me? A poor guy living in a house where he can't stretch his legs curses me with a mirror? Haha, I almost forgot, he can't afford a mirror, right?"
Chloe followed with a fake laugh.
Wilson said again: "Maybe he just came to see..." Chloe: "I can't guarantee it. He came to my house yesterday. I don't know if there was really a problem or he took the opportunity to search for something... Damn! I accidentally lost that medicine..."
Wilson was now anxious: "How could you lose it? And tell me now?!"
Chloe: 'What do you think I came here for today? I don't know when it was - no, it was lost after that little bastard left... Do you think he took it?'
The sound disappeared for a moment, and Roland saw heavy breathing.
Wilson: 'No matter who gets the medicine, we can't admit it - you are a baron, your father is still... You will be fine; and as her brother, fewer people will suspect me... Remember, don't admit anything, understand? He can't do anything to us. '
Chloe: 'I should never have married your sister.'
Wilson: "Come on, how much money did she take from the Wilson family? Isn't it all in your pocket now?"
Chloe: 'Besides the jewelry and gold, and some antiques, she should have other movables that I haven't found.'
Wilson: "You're doubting me? You must be kidding. You know she's stopped seeing me."
Chloe: 'You say, will it be...'
Wilson sneered: "My sister wouldn't be stupid enough to leave thousands of pounds of property to a... to... No, no, no, it's hard to say, Mingsi. She has been different from what I thought since she was a child. She is a freak..."
Chloe: 'I gave a lot of money to those black guys.'
Wilson: 'I won't spend another penny on this matter, that's for you to consider.'
Chloe: 'We agreed on this.'
Wilson: 'I didn't tell you anything. You are responsible for my sister's death, you have to pay the money. Also, ask the little crow with golden eyes, he might have got a lot of valuable things from my sister... I hate his eyes.'
Chloe: 'He's blind, Wilson.'
Wilson: 'I think he's just as much of a freak as my sister, and he gives me the creeps - and, like I said, if she hadn't been meddling in the family business and blaming me... what's the difference between her and those women who stick their backs out and their butts out, peeling potatoes while swinging and trying to keep an eye on the pot?! How dare she question my decisions -'
Chloe: 'She turned to dust and mixed with the Thames, Wilson, please help me. I couldn't sleep for two days because of her screams...'
Wilson: 'That's beautiful music.'
Chloe: "...Stop talking...Please...I, as long as this matter is over peacefully, I, I will wish her soul to be free in the Eden of the Father of All Things...I will pray for her...Pray for at least half a month..."
Wilson: 'That bitch is going to hell.'
The characters slowly melted away.
Then came some even more obscene topics that were hard to bear to hear.
After they discussed the tragic wails before death, pretended to pray a few words, and openly talked about the scenery under women's skirts and the "war" at the gambling table, Roland felt his stomach churning.
He had nothing left to vomit and could only dry heave a few times. His whole body was cold, but beads of sweat were appearing on his forehead.
Seeing this, the servant beside him came forward to show concern. Roland stood up and waved his hand, holding his cane.
"Excuse me, take me to the bathroom."
"You come with me."
The Wilson family was so luxurious that the entire bathroom was covered with smooth, clean dark square porcelain walls. Salt, tooth powder and soap beans were placed on the wide and long table, and a few bouquets of fresh flowers were placed in thin-necked porcelain vases.
There are comfortable soft sofas, shelves with aromatherapy and bundles of candles, and stacked matchboxes.
A huge half-length mirror was placed next to the basin.
Roland could see a dishevelled, tearful face in the mirror.
And a figure surrounded by heavy fog.
Cherry-Chloe sat in the magnificent living room.
Then, the servants who rushed in held down his hands and feet.
