Chapter 79: Ignorance
Chen Yi opened his eyes and struggled to get up from the ground.

The air was filled with the smell of rusty bronze and the scent of blood. He took two deep breaths and looked around hurriedly.

There were a number of corpses lying on the ground. They were pale and bleeding from all their orifices. The expressions on their faces before death varied, some were terrified, some were shocked.

Chen Yi panicked and looked around hurriedly for Yin Tingxue, Min Ning and others.

Fortunately or unfortunately, he couldn't find Yin Tingxue and Min Ning, but he didn't find their bodies either.

"They are still alive... they must be alive."

Chen Yi comforted himself, then looked up at the scene in front of him.

The scene was generally pitch black with a faint glow and broken walls and ruins everywhere. Chen Yi looked up and found a stone wall above him. He lowered his head and saw some fragments of pottery and bronze artifacts, which looked like burial objects. This place was just like the mausoleum of an ancient king.

Chen Yi took a deep breath. The most urgent thing now was to find them quickly.

He raised his foot and walked slowly forward. When he turned a corner in the dark passage ahead, he suddenly heard a slight sound.

Chen Yi held his breath, held the Embroidered Spring Knife and walked in the direction of the sound, and then he saw a familiar face.

That's not Yin Tingxue, nor is it Min Ning.

But it was the Taihua Goddess Yin Weiying.

A nun in white was sitting cross-legged on the ground, chanting prayer scriptures in a low voice. Her face seemed faintly otherworldly in the dim light.

"Reciting sutras at someone else's grave,"

Chen Yi said in a cold voice,
"Emperor Yin Luan, are you pretending to be a ghost and scaring people?"

Hearing the voice, Yin Weiying moved a little, and then saw that disgusted face again. She gritted her teeth and said bitterly:
“…You’re not dead.”

"It seems that you wish I were dead."

"Ignorance and evil."

Yin Weiying cursed in a low voice.

Chen Yi turned a deaf ear and just asked:
"Are you going to leave or do you want to stay here alone?"

"My master threw the Jiao cup three times, which is a good omen."

Yin Weiying rejected it coldly:

"If I stay here, I will be able to turn danger into safety."

After listening to her words, Chen Yi didn't try to persuade her any further and just turned around and left.

Of course, he had many ways to force Yin Weiying to leave, whether it was threatening her by cutting off her Changsheng Bridge or breaking her legs and taking her away by force. But now, he didn't want to waste time entangled with this confused woman. He had to find Yin Tingxue and Min Ning as soon as possible.

After Chen Yi left, Yin Weiying took a deep breath and looked in the direction he was going.

In fact, she had known for a long time that Chen Yi was not dead. She was the first to wake up. After seeing the corpses on the ground, she saw Chen Yi again and found that he was still breathing.

On several occasions, Yin Weiying wanted to take this opportunity to kill him.

At that moment, she hated herself for being a Taoist priest who had to observe the precepts and could not kill people.

Everything started because of Chen Yi, and his own path to immortality also encountered repeated changes because of Chen Yi.

If it weren't for him, Min Ning would have followed him to Mount Taihua long ago. Not only that, Min Ning, who was supposed to be his Taoist partner, actually said that she would rather lie down on the ground and be his concubine!
Once these words were spoken, it was equivalent to cutting off the way to immortality mentioned in the original prophecy. Min Ning had made up his mind and would never go up the mountain with her to practice Taoism. Without the assistance of the golden boy, how could the jade girl live long?
"Ignorance and evil."

Yin Weiying cursed again in a low voice.

Then, she put her hands together, sat cross-legged, and recited prayer scriptures.

In the dark corridor, a cold wind blew past, and the broken bronze objects smelled of rust, while the dim luster made it difficult to feel at ease.

Yin Weiying felt a little uneasy for some reason.

But when I looked around, all I saw was silence, nothing was happening.

It seems that I am overthinking it.

Nothing will happen to me...

Yin Weiying slowly breathed a sigh of relief.

She opened her mouth and was about to continue reciting the scriptures.

But when his eyes were closed, he caught some imperceptible details.

In the dark corner, something flew by. It looked like a bird. Yin Weiying saw dark feathers!

Yin Weiying got goose bumps. Thick dust filled the air all around, and it seemed as if something would jump out of the darkness at any time.

A chilly wind blew, and a bit of creepy laughter was mixed in the wind. The nun in white made a golden body seal, but her fingers couldn't stop shaking.

When the black shadow passed in front of him, Yin Weiying's mind went blank.

In mid-air, some hair fell in front of her.

First, a wisp.
Then it became longer and longer, and more and more, almost touching the ground.

She froze.

A foul smell wafted into my nose, and in front of me was a pale human face with strangely bright and colorful feathers all over her body. She was grinning with her mouth wide open, smiling in a weird and creepy way!

The "Classic of Mountains and Seas: Great Wilderness West Classic" states: "Walking on the Xuandan Mountain, there are birds of five colors, with human faces and hair. There are blue herons, yellow herons, blue birds, and yellow birds. The country where these birds gather will be destroyed."

………………

Chen Yi heard a scream.

The voice was so miserable and terrifying that it almost penetrated the wall.

Chen Yi couldn't tell who it was for a moment and was about to turn around to find out.

From a distance, one could see a woman in white, panicking and at a loss what to do.

Yin Weiying didn't care about her image at all. She stomped her feet and ran away like a rat, as if she was being chased by the Black and White Impermanence. As she stumbled away, she stepped on a piece of pottery and stumbled and fell. Her white clothes were covered in dust, and she looked very embarrassed.

Chen Yi scratched his head and looked behind Yin Weiying, only to find nothing.

He walked up to Yin Weiying, squatted down and asked:

"What are you running for?"

"Qing, Qingluo! There is a big demon Qingluo!"

Yin Weiying was trembling and mumbling, looking extremely frightened.

Upon hearing this, Chen Yi held the hilt of the knife and waited for a while, and even took out the red gold relic, but after waiting for a long time, nothing happened.

Yin Weiying recovered a little, raised her head, and saw the red gold relic at a glance.

In an instant, she remembered something.

Chen Yi took back the relic, sheathed his sword, turned around and left.

"wait wait wait…"

There was a hurried voice behind me.

"how?"

"I'll go with you and help you protect the Dharma."

Yin Weiying slowly stood up and spoke neither humbly nor arrogantly.

Chen Yi sneered and walked away.

The lady in white became flustered. She hurriedly followed him, grabbed Chen Yi's clothes with one hand, and said as calmly as possible:

"Take me with you, you need a Taoist priest..."

"If it hadn't fallen here, I would need you to reinforce the seal of a great demon. But now in this underground palace... you are useless." Chen Yi said expressionlessly.

After he finished speaking, Yin Weiying's eyes widened.

Chen Yi shook off her hand and walked forward.

The lady in white hurriedly followed and said in a panic:

"Okay, okay, I was wrong. I'll go with you... Stop for a moment. Don't walk so fast. Don't push me away. Say something. Say something!"

Chen Yi stopped, turned around and looked at her with a sneer.

"What's so funny about this?"

Yin Weiying asked with a frown.

"He was arrogant at first and respectful later. It's laughable to think about it." Chen Yi said sarcastically.

Yin Weiying's pretty face turned pale, and then her cheeks became hot, and hatred flashed in her eyes. But when she saw Chen Yi turned around and was about to leave again, she immediately became timid and said hurriedly:

"Then laugh as much as you want, even if you want me to fall to my knees with laughter, just don't push me away..."
