More than 30 remnants of the Kwantung Army retreated into the Far East. The Eighth Route Army and the guerrilla column stopped their pursuit, switched to defense on the spot, and began to digest the fruits of victory.

After the Kwantung Army entered the Far East, it engaged in a fierce battle with the Russian Far East Military Region troops. Both sides suffered heavy casualties, and the Far East was almost reduced to ruins.

The Russian Bear immediately lodged a stern protest to Yanzhou and Yuzhong, and warned the Chinese army not to enter the Far East without permission, otherwise it would be regarded as a declaration of war.
