"Chechi Kingdom? What kind of place is that? What position is the Grand Master? Lin Nan? I've never heard of him, never heard of him." Sun Wukong said repeatedly. While looking at Lin Nan, he thought to himself: This Taoist seems to have great abilities and has reached the level of a celestial being. It is truly rare.

Before Lin Nan could speak, Little White Dragon said proudly, "Of course, my master is a rare 'Nine-level Supreme Celestial Immortal' throughout history. When he became an immortal, all the immortals and gods came to congratulate him!"

Sun Wukong was stunned when he heard this, and thought to himself: How could such a person appear in the world in these years?

He chuckled and said to Lin Nan, "It is I, Old Sun, who am ignorant. I have not been around for a long time and I didn't know there are such great people in the world."

After that, Sun Wukong turned to Lin Nan and asked tentatively: "Since Master Lin Nan has great magical powers, I wonder if you can help me to uncover the 'security note' on this mountain and help me escape?"

Lin Nan shook his head and said slowly: "This bond was imposed by the Buddha himself. How can a celestial being like me remove it?"

When Sun Wukong heard this, he immediately lost his temper and said unhappily: "In that case, why did you come down? Are you here to laugh at me?" There was a hint of rebelliousness in his eyes. After all, his identity as the Monkey King made him always think highly of himself.

Even though Xiaobailong had previously introduced Lin Nan's extraordinary qualities in detail, in Sun Wukong's view, what was Lin Nan if he couldn't help him out of trouble?
"Since you can't help me, why are you still staying here, you Ox-nosed Taoist? Leave quickly!" Sun Wukong began to chase people away. His tone was no longer polite. He directly called Lin Nan "Ox-nosed".

Lin Nan was not angry. He just looked at Sun Wukong who was trapped under the mountain and sighed softly, "What a naughty monkey. He has been trapped under this mountain for five hundred years, but his stubbornness has not diminished."

After saying this, he shook his head slightly, as if sighing.

Then, he called the little white dragon: "Ao Yu, let's go."

"Wow wow wow!" Sun Wukong was provoked by these words and immediately screamed, "You big-nosed bastard, when I get out of this predicament, I will definitely teach you a lesson and let you know the power of the Great Sage Equaling Heaven!"

No matter how Sun Wukong shouted, Lin Nan had already gone far away with Little White Dragon. Sun Wukong couldn't help but feel a little annoyed: "This bull nose..."

"Master." Xiao Bailong called softly. At this time, he had quietly changed to this title which sounded more intimate than "Grand Master".

"We have angered the Monkey King so much, will it cause hidden dangers in the future?" Little White Dragon asked with some concern.

"It's okay." Lin Nan said calmly, "I didn't have the power to save him. I just went to see the 'monkey'. It's natural for him to be angry."

“As for the future troubles…it also depends on whether this monkey has the ability to do so.” Lin Nan said, looking back, “I’m afraid that even if this monkey escapes from the Five Elements Mountain, it will fall into a bigger cage…”

The little white dragon nodded as if he understood, then carried Lin Nan into the sky.

Behind them, Guanyin Bodhisattva and his disciple Mu Zha also came to the Five Elements Mountain.

They landed on the mountain and checked the stickers on the mountain. Seeing this, Guanyin could not help but recite a poem: "It is a pity that the demon monkey does not serve the public. He was arrogant and selected heroes in the past. He was deceitful and disrupted the Peach Banquet. He boldly went to the Tushita Palace privately. He has no rivals among the 100,000 troops and is majestic in the nine heavens. Since he was trapped by my Buddha Tathagata, when will he be able to show his merits again!"

This movement was also noticed by Sun Wukong at the foot of the mountain. He shouted angrily: "Just now a strange Taoist priest came and laughed at me and left. Who is coming to ridicule me now?"

Sun Wukong's shout was deafening and could be heard throughout the mountain.

Mu Zha couldn't help but glance at Guanyin and said, "Master, it seems that the great master Lin Nan has got there before us and has met the Great Sage!"

Guanyin's face darkened, and she also thought of this. But she still said, "Let's go down and take a look. The Monkey King is suppressed by the Tathagata Buddha. Even the great master Lin Nan can't do anything here!"

After that, they descended from the Five Elements Mountain. On the way, the local gods, mountain gods, and supervising heavenly generals came to pay their respects.

Guanyin asked, "Has a Taoist come here before?"

"Yes." The mountain god replied, "It is the great master of Chechi Country on earth, Shangguan Linnan from the Heavenly Court."

The land god added, "Not only him, but also Ao Yu, the third prince of the Dragon King of the West Sea. It is said that he is the Taoist's mount."

"It's indeed him..." Guanyin's heart sank, and she was certain that the little white dragon Ao Yu was "intercepted" by Lin Nan.

In fact, it was because the little white dragon Ao Yu was intercepted that they spent some time looking for another way, and finally arrived at the Five Elements Mountain.

Guanyin then asked, "What did he do when he came here?"

The guard replied, "He just looked at the Great Sage and then left. There was just some disagreement in their words and a quarrel."

Hearing this, Guanyin Bodhisattva's expression eased a lot. She glanced at her disciples and said, "In this case, let's go and see the former Monkey King."

Soon, they came to the foot of the mountain and saw the pinned Sun Wukong. Guanyin Bodhisattva asked, "Mr. Sun, do you recognize me?"

Sun Wukong opened his flaming eyes and recognized Guanyin at once. He shouted, "How could I not recognize you? You are the compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva who saves the suffering and the distressed on Mount Putuo in the South China Sea!"

Sun Wukong called out the name of Guanyin in one breath, then lowered his eyelids and asked, "Are you here to see me, Sun Wukong, just like that ox-nosed one? For hundreds of years, no one who knows me has come to see me. Just now, a little Taoist priest came and ridiculed me and left. I am really angry!"

Upon hearing this, Guanyin felt slightly delighted, thinking that it was not a bad thing that Sun Wukong hated Lin Nan.

At the same time, Guanyin said, "What a joke? Why am I here to see a joke? I am following the Buddha's command to go to the East to look for the pilgrim. I am passing by here and have come to visit you."

Sun Wukong heard this and asked, "The Tathagata deceived me and pinned me down on this mountain for over five hundred years. I cannot move. The Bodhisattva came to see me like this. Can he save me?"

Guanyin shook her head slightly and said with a smile: "You monkey, you have committed many sins. If I save you, I am afraid you will harm the people again, which would be a sin."

When Sun Wukong heard this, he felt slightly happy, because Guanyin Bodhisattva's words showed that there was still hope for the situation.

So, he followed the words of Guanyin and said, "I, Sun, have repented and hope that the Bodhisattva can show me a clear path."

Guanyin smiled slightly upon hearing this, and that smile was filled with a hint of "as expected". She said, "The sage's scripture says: 'If his words are good, he will be responded to from a thousand miles away; if his words are not good, he will be rejected from a thousand miles away.' Since you have this intention, when I arrive in the Tang Kingdom in the East, I will find a man who is seeking scriptures and teach him to save you. You can become his disciple, follow his teachings, enter my Buddhist sect, and then practice Buddhism, how about that?"

Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong knew that he had a chance to escape. Five hundred years of wind, rain, and loneliness had long made him unable to care about anything else.

When he heard there was an opportunity, he immediately agreed: "Yes, yes, I'm willing to go."

Guanyin Bodhisattva nodded with satisfaction, told Sun Wukong to wait here patiently, and then prepared to leave with Mu Zha.

However, Sun Wukong stopped her and said, "Bodhisattva, I have something to ask you."

Guanyin Bodhisattva stopped walking, turned around slowly, and said softly: "What's the matter? Just say it."

Seeing this, Sun Wukong stepped forward and asked, "Bodhisattva, Taoist Lin Nan used to mock me a lot. Do you know where he came from?"

Before Guanyin Bodhisattva spoke, Mu Zha could not help but snorted coldly and said, "That guy is definitely not a good guy! The goldfish in the lotus pond of the Bodhisattva were almost killed by him. What's worse, he almost killed the guardian of another pilgrim."

Mu Zha became angrier and angrier as he spoke. He continued, "He relied on his status as the Grand Master of Chechi State to bully others in the army and no one dared to offend him. In Chechi State, the monks of our Buddhist sect have now been demoted to hard labor, while the people of their Taoist sect are respected and have great glory in the country."

"The Chechi Kingdom is now in a mess and has become a disaster area for Buddhism!" Mu Zha's words were full of resentment, and he was obviously very dissatisfied with the Taoist Lin Nan.

Sun Wukong was shocked when he heard Mu Zha's words. He didn't expect that Taoist Lin Nan would be so domineering. He couldn't help but ask, "He is targeting Buddhism so much. Do the Arhats and Bodhisattvas of Buddhism allow him to do such a thing?"

Guanyin Bodhisattva remained silent. Mu Zha snorted again and expressed his opinion: "Lin Nan is a prominent figure. He was personally named the 'Taozi' of the modern era by the Jade Emperor. Even the immortals in the Heavenly Court look at him differently, and the Jade Emperor is also courteous to him. He arbitrarily conferred the title of God in his own country, and no one in the Heavenly Court asked about it, allowing him to act recklessly without any scruples."

Mu Zha spoke out these things from his own perspective, and his words were inevitably biased. However, Guanyin Bodhisattva did not correct him, but just listened silently, as if he agreed with Mu Zha's words.

Sun Wukong was even more surprised when he heard this. He didn't expect that Lin Nan was even more lawless than himself. He was indignant and said, "He has a background, so he can do whatever he wants? But I, Sun, have been suppressed under the Five Elements Mountain for five hundred years!"

Sun Wukong felt extremely unbalanced and was even more displeased with Lin Nan. He secretly vowed that he would settle the score with Lin Nan after he escaped.

Guanyin Bodhisattva finally spoke, and she said softly: "Lin Nan is a Taoist, and the pilgrim is a Buddhist. If you support the pilgrim on his journey to the West in the future, you may have a chance to meet Lin Nan again."

Sun Wukong snorted and said, "It's best if I don't meet him, otherwise I will seek justice for the goldfish raised by the Bodhisattva!"

After that, Guanyin Bodhisattva took Mu Zha away from the Five Elements Mountain. Mu Zha looked at Guanyin as they walked and said, "Bodhisattva, the great national teacher Lin Nan is one step ahead of us, and he is probably going to the Tang Dynasty as well. Should we catch up with him as soon as possible?"

Guanyin Bodhisattva nodded slightly. Mu Zha's words were exactly what she wanted. She said softly, "That's right. We should go to the Tang Dynasty first."

After saying this, the two of them no longer hesitated, quickened their pace, and rushed towards the direction of the Eastern Tang Dynasty.

In less than half a day, they arrived at Chang'an City in the Tang Dynasty in the East.

In Chang'an City, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Mu Zha did not rush to act, but first found a land temple, intending to contact the local gods first in order to proceed with their subsequent actions.

However, when they tried to transform themselves into ordinary monks and enter the land temple, they found that there was no land god to greet them in the temple, only a few ghost soldiers on duty.

Mu Zha said confidently: "The Bodhisattva has come in person, why doesn't the land god come out to greet him?"

As a follower of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Mu Zha naturally believed that when the Bodhisattva came, all the gods in Chang'an City should come to welcome him.

However, the ghost soldier replied tremblingly: "Reporting to the Immortal, the local gods, community leaders, and gods of various temples in the city are now welcoming the great master from Chechi State. Therefore, all the gods in Chang'an City are gathering in the City God Temple at the moment, not in their own temples."

Upon hearing this, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Mu Zha looked at each other, with a hint of surprise in their eyes.

Mu Zha couldn't help but exclaimed, "What? It's that great master again? How come he's ahead of us so quickly?"

It turned out that after Lin Nan and Little White Dragon Ao Yu left the Five Elements Mountain, they also headed towards Datang. As they walked, Lin Nan suddenly changed his mind and asked Little White Dragon to hurry as fast as possible.

Although Xiaobailong was confused, he thought this was an opportunity to show his abilities, so he transformed himself into a jade dragon, quickly shuttled through the clouds, and galloped towards the east.

In this way, they arrived at Chang'an City of the Tang Dynasty in just half a day.

As soon as they arrived in Chang'an, Lin Nan asked the little white dragon to hide and he landed on the ground.

He chanted the "Antudi Shen Mantra" to call upon the local land god to come out and meet him.

After a while, an old man holding a wooden staff emerged from the ground and asked respectfully, "I wonder which immortal summoned me?"

Lin Nan said: "I am the Grand Master of Chechi State, my Taoist name is Lin Nan, and I am also a Celestial Official in the Heavenly Court, ranked in the third district. I have just arrived in Chang'an, and I want to ask about the situation in Chang'an City."

When the land god heard that it was Grand Master Lin Nan, he was immediately shocked and asked quickly, "Are you the contemporary Taoist Master Lin Nan?"

Lin Nan nodded and smiled, "That's right." But he felt a little helpless in his heart. He didn't expect that his title of "Taozi" had spread so widely among the mountain gods in heaven.

When the land god heard this, he bowed again and said, "I was blind and didn't recognize you, Master. I hope you will forgive me!"

After saying this, he did not dare to delay and quickly notified the City God in Chang'an.

At the command of the City God, the news spread to all the temples, big and small, in Chang'an City.

Thus, a huge group of gods came to visit Lin Nan.
