I saw a stone tablet standing in front of me. The surface of the tablet seemed to be carved with a sharp sword blade, and there were several lines of vigorous and powerful handwriting engraved on it.

Zhu Bajie narrowed his eyes and read out word by word: "There is a demon lurking here, which was originally transformed by the Curtain-Rolling General of Heaven. It has devoured many people, but it is protected by Guanyin, so I am unable to eradicate it. If there are later comers with profound Taoism, please try to slay the demon and eliminate the evil to atone for the sins of the world." After reading, he noticed that there was a signature below the inscription - "The Grand Master of Chechi Kingdom, Taoist Lin Nanli".

Zhu Bajie scratched his head and didn't pay much attention to these words. He even felt unfamiliar with the names "Master Che Chi" and "Lin Nan".

He turned to his master Tang Sanzang and his eldest brother Sun Wukong and said, "It seems that some master left a warning saying that there is a man-eating monster hiding in this river."

After he finished speaking, he looked around and saw that his master and senior brother had strange expressions on their faces. He couldn't help but wonder, "Could it be that you know this Chechi Grand Master Lin Nan?"

Tang Sanzang nodded gently and said slowly: "I once had a debate with him at the Water and Land Assembly at the Huasheng Temple in Chang'an City."

Sun Wukong also said: "This little Taoist priest once ran to the foot of the Five Elements Mountain and mocked me."

When Zhu Bajie heard this, he suddenly realized, "So that's how it is."

Although he was born as a pig in this life and his brain was not very bright, he also noticed some clues. He asked: "Since you all know him, can the words on this stone tablet be trusted?"

Tang Sanzang pondered for a moment. The Lin Nan in his memory didn't seem like a person who would talk nonsense.

However, he found it hard to accept and believe what was written on the stone tablet: that Guanyin Bodhisattva would actually protect a man-eating demon.

Sun Wukong seemed unimpressed. He waved his hand and said, "This little Taoist priest is from the Taoist sect, so it's not surprising that he has some prejudice against the Bodhisattvas of the Buddhist sect. As for whether there are any monsters in the river, we will know after we give it a try."

After saying that, he casually threw the golden cudgel into the air, and it instantly grew bigger and was firmly held in his hand.

Then, he threw the other end of the golden hoop lightly, and it fell into the quicksand river.

Sun Wukong shook his wrist, and the golden cudgel stirred the river. Suddenly, the river became turbulent and a huge whirlpool formed.

Not long after, an ugly monster with fluffy red hair jumped out of the whirlpool. He had nine skulls hanging around his neck and was holding a magic staff in his hand, looking very majestic.

"Who is disturbing my peace here?" the monster roared.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong put away his golden cudgel and said with a smile, "So it's you, the Curtain Roller! Why don't you recognize us?"

The monster took a closer look and recognized Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, and Zhu Bajie. His eyes flashed and fell on Tang Sanzang, asking, "Are you the people who came from the Tang Dynasty in the East to seek Buddhist scriptures?"

Sun Wukong asked curiously, "How do you, a demon, know our origins?"

Upon hearing this, the monster actually knelt on the ground and said respectfully: "I was originally the curtain-raiser beside the Jade Emperor in Heaven, because..."

Then, he told his story in detail, "Later, I was saved by Guanyin Bodhisattva, who allowed me to wait here for the pilgrims and escort them to the West to obtain the scriptures. The Bodhisattva also gave me the Dharma name Sha Wujing."

Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie put away their weapons. However, Zhu Bajie was still a little puzzled and asked, "What's going on with the stone tablet?"

Sha Wujing sighed and said, "Before that, Lin Nan, the Grand Master of Chechi State, passed by here. I didn't know him at the time, and I got into a fight with him on impulse, which ended up offending him. He wanted to slay demons and monsters, and he wouldn't let him go even if the Bodhisattva came. I had no choice but to hide with the Bodhisattva for a while, and only recently returned to the Flowing Sand River. I didn't dare to show up easily in the river, and if you hadn't disturbed the Flowing Sand River, I wouldn't have come out."

Zhu Bajie was still a little puzzled after hearing this and asked, "Who on earth is Lin Nan? How could he not even give respect to the Bodhisattva?"

Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie were both born as monsters, so they didn't care much about Sha Wujing's cannibalism. After hearing about Sha Wujing's experience, they felt that Lin Nan was a little bit relentless.

Even Tang Sanzang, a Buddhist, based on the idea of "turning back is the shore", did not think there was anything wrong with the Bodhisattva's approach.

Sha Wujing explained, "The Chechi Grand Master Lin Nan is no ordinary person. He was personally named 'Daozi' by the Great Daoist Ancestor. He has become a 'Nine-level Supreme Celestial Immortal' and has friendships with many gods and immortals in heaven. He hates evil and even killed the goldfish spirit raised by the Bodhisattva."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Bajie couldn't help but exclaimed: "Wow, there are actually such people in this world!"

Then, he asked curiously, "Why did the great master leave such a stone tablet behind and not care about it?"

Sha Wujing shook his head in distress and said, "This stone tablet is not simple. It bears the mark of the great master. If I move it easily, I'm afraid the great master will notice it and may even come to the Flowing Sand River in person. Therefore, I have never dared to act rashly."

Zhu Bajie nodded, and seeing Sha Wujing's trembling appearance, he couldn't help but laugh at him, "You were once the Curtain-Lifting General of Heaven, why are you so afraid of a Grand Master Che Chi now? If it were me, I would be the Marshal of the Heavenly Peng in heaven, and many practitioners on earth would bow down to me when they see me!"

Sha Wujing shook his head helplessly and said, "That Grand Master Chechi is truly terrifying. Not only did he kill the goldfish spirit that the Bodhisattva raised, he also left numerous sword marks on the willow branches in the Bodhisattva's jade bottle."

Tang Sanzang was shocked when he heard this, recalling that the last time he saw the Bodhisattva, the willow branch in the jade bottle did seem to be a little strange.

He sighed and said, "No wonder it's like that. It seems that Grand Master Che Chi does have some skills."

Zhu Bajie also agreed: "Yes, this great master is no ordinary person."

Sun Wukong snorted and said, "When we get to Chechi Kingdom in the future, we will settle accounts with that great national teacher!"

After saying this, he turned to Sha Wujing and asked, "Do you have a way to cross the Flowing Sand River?"

Sha Wujing nodded, took off a skull necklace from his neck, and said, "The Bodhisattva once taught me a method that can transform the Nine Palaces into a boat to cross the Flowing Sand River."

After saying that, he began to perform magic. The skull necklace in his hands changed unpredictably and finally turned into a small boat.

Before boarding the ship, Tang Sanzang couldn't help but look back at the stone tablet, and said with some concern: "If this stone tablet is left here, won't it damage the reputation of the Bodhisattva?"

Sun Wukong waved his hand indifferently and said, "This question is simple. After we cross the river, I will come back and destroy the stone tablet."

Upon hearing this, Tang Sanzang nodded slightly, indicating that he agreed with Sun Wukong's idea.

So, everyone got on the boat, Sha Wujing drove the boat forward, and soon they crossed the Quicksand River and reached the other side of the river.

Sun Wukong rode his somersault cloud and returned to the original place alone. He swung his golden cudgel and smashed the stone tablet left by Lin Nan.

At this moment, a deafening dragon roar suddenly sounded in the imperial city of Chechi Kingdom.

Everyone in the palace was stunned by the sudden sound.

The king and his ministers looked at each other, their hearts filled with confusion and fear.

At this time, a man named Luli Daxian stood up. He smiled and said, "Your Majesty, all the lords, don't panic. This must be the return of the Grand Master on a dragon." He went on to explain, "The Third Prince of the Dragon King of the West Sea, Ao Yu, has now worshipped the Grand Master as his master and is willing to be his mount. The sound of the dragon's roar must have been made by Ao Yu."

After hearing this, everyone's fear was slightly relieved.

At this moment, Lin Nan's voice came from outside the house: "Your Majesty, Lin Nan requests an audience."

Upon hearing this, the King of Chechi quickly stood up from his seat and walked out, saying, "My dear ministers, follow me to welcome the Grand Master!"

Upon hearing this, everyone followed the king and walked out of the palace together.

I saw a small white dragon crawling outside the palace gate, and Lin Nan was standing in front of the dragon. He was wearing a Taoist robe and looked as handsome as ever.

"This king's teacher, Che Chi's teacher!"

King Chechi hurried forward to greet him, and the ministers behind him also saluted.

Many of them even performed the disciple salute to Lin Nan, appearing extremely respectful.

The King of Chechi walked up to Lin Nan and said respectfully, "The other three state masters have already reported the incident to me. I have also discussed this matter with you, my dear ministers, many times."

He paused, and then said, "The people of Chechi State are united in supporting the decision of the Grand Master!"

In the past few days, the three great immortals, Huli, Luli and Yangli, have revealed to the king of Chechi Kingdom that Lin Nan is about to launch an extraordinary move.

To this end, they conducted many in-depth discussions during this period.

The King of Chechi said solemnly: "Without the help of the Great Master, Chechi would never have been as prosperous as it is today. Therefore, the people of Chechi are willing to work together with the Great Master to seek common development."

At this point, his tone became more resolute: "Since the Grand Master believes that Chechi has the potential to become the center of humanity, then the future of Chechi is entrusted to the Grand Master!"

Half a year has passed since Lin Nan explained his plan to the three great immortals Huli, Luli and Yangli.

In the past six months, the three immortals had already informed the king of Chechi Kingdom about this matter.

The king also had a long discussion with his ministers.

In the end, they reached a unanimous decision, which was to fully support Lin Nan! This decision was not made rashly, but was based on many considerations.

On the one hand, Che Chiguo’s current happy life can almost be said to be brought about by Lin Nan alone.

On the other hand, for Che Chiguo, this is undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Lin Nan's teaching of Taoism here will only benefit Chechi Kingdom, not harm it.

If Che Chi could really become the destiny center of humanity, how glorious and brilliant it would be?
That means the status of the ruler and ministers of Chechi State will rise!

The King, who could only be called "King" but not "Emperor", will have the opportunity to become the Emperor of Man!

Similarly, the status of other ministers will be greatly improved.

Such a prospect is of great benefit to the court and people of Chechi State. How could they not support and agree with it?
However, they were a little nervous because they didn't know how to ensure success.

After all, the population of Chechi State is not that large, including a large number of infants and teenagers. However, Datang is said to be vast and populous...

"Okay, since Che Chiguo trusts me so much, I will do my best to support Che Chi!" Lin Nan solemnly made a promise.

For him, this is also a great opportunity to make Taoism truly prosperous and overwhelm Buddhism.

“If we can’t achieve it in ten years, we will work hard for twenty or thirty years; if we can’t achieve it in one generation, we will work hard for two or three generations.”

Lin Nan's firm and decisive attitude deeply moved the king and ministers of Chechi State.

The King's heart was slightly moved, and he asked: "Then, Grand Master, what should we do next?"

"First, we will teach the Dao, establish the Dao Court, gather some of the human race's luck, and then carry out domestic reforms..." Lin Nan said the next plan in an orderly manner. The whole Chechi Kingdom immediately became busy.

At this moment, Lin Nan suddenly moved slightly and looked towards the east, which was the direction of the Liusha River.

"The stone tablet I left behind was destroyed. Was it done by Guanyin Bodhisattva or Sun Wukong and his group?" Lin Nan thought to himself. Then, he left the Chechi Palace, rode on the white dragon, and galloped towards the east.

"Let's go and take a look at the Flowing Sand River." Lin Nan said to the little white dragon Ao Yu, "I wanted to kill the Curtain General that day, but he was able to save his life because he followed the Bodhisattva. Now I'm afraid he has returned and destroyed the stone tablet I left behind."

Upon hearing this, the little white dragon Ao Yu immediately carried Lin Nan on board, riding on the clouds and flying towards the Liusha River like lightning.

Not long after, they arrived at the bank of the mighty quicksand river.

When they descended from the clouds to the side of the Liusha River, they saw the shattered stone tablet, with the words on it destroyed beyond all recognition.

Lin Nan only took a quick glance and saw some clues: "Looking at the marks, it was caused by a stick. It should be done by Sun Wukong from the Journey to the West group."

Lin Nan had an idea in his mind, and the next moment, he looked to the west. "I guess they have crossed the Quicksand River and continued to move forward."

"Master, should we catch up?" Little White Dragon Ao Yu asked tentatively. After all, Sun Wukong was a Taiyi Golden Immortal, while he himself had not yet achieved the status of a Golden Immortal.

Lin Nan shook his head: "Since the Curtain General has already joined the Journey to the West team, we should not act rashly. If we really fight, we may not be able to gain any benefit."

Lin Nan's gaze was deep and far-sighted: "Besides, there is more than one Buddhist Bodhisattva waiting for us ahead. If we go there rashly, we will undoubtedly fall into a trap."

"Let's go back to Chechi first. After the big thing is done, we will go to Wuzhuang Temple to wait and teach them a profound lesson." As he said that, Lin Nan rode on the white dragon and flew away.

The little white dragon Ao Yu rode the clouds and flew straight back to Chechi Kingdom in the air.

On the ground, in a forest, among the people on the journey to the west, Sun Wukong suddenly raised his head. (End of this chapter)
