Batman's Owl Godfather
Chapter 34 You will come to my office once a day
Chapter 34 You will come to my office every day from now on
The auditorium suddenly became chaotic.
Professor Dumbledore had to make purple fireworks explode from the end of his wand several times before everyone quieted down.
"Prefect," he said in a deep voice, "take the students from each house to their dormitories immediately!"
Hufflepuff's prefect, Truman, stood up immediately: "Everyone follow me! Don't get separated, don't panic!"
Bruce didn't have any unique ideas. He followed Truman. He had wanted to leave the auditorium a long time ago. There were bats flying above his head, which was unlucky.
Before leaving, he packed some food to bring to Hermione later.
"Why is a troll in Hogwarts?"
Bruce couldn't help but start to associate. He first looked at Dumbledore, then shook his head in his heart.
It's unlikely that the principal did it.
but--
"Oh no!" Bruce suddenly realized, "Hermione doesn't know about the troll yet!"
Hermione didn't come to the Great Hall. If she were alone in Hogwarts, she would probably run into a troll.
Bruce had almost no hesitation and immediately wanted to leave the main group to find Hermione.
However, just as he turned around and tried to slip away, a calm voice suddenly called him.
"Bruce."
Looking back, he saw Dumbledore standing quietly in the distance, waving at him with a smile.
Bruce didn't understand what was going on, so he could only go over first.
"Mr. Headmaster." Bruce came to Dumbledore, "What's the matter?"
"Bruce, come with me."
Dumbledore walked forward gracefully, motioning Bruce to follow.
Bruce was reluctant.
He was so worried about Hermione that he had no intention of staying with Dumbledore.
"What's wrong, Bruce?"
Seeing that Bruce had not caught up, Dumbledore stopped and turned back, his half-moon lenses flashing a faint light.
"Is there anything else you're doing?"
"Yes." Bruce nodded simply, "Hermione from Gryffindor College didn't come to the hall just now, and she may not know about the troll until now."
"So you wanted to leave the team just now because you were worried about Miss Granger?"
Suddenly, Dumbledore said something shocking.
He just saw it all.
I saw Bruce trying to slip away alone in the chaos of the crowd, but I didn't know his purpose.
But no matter what the reason, it is always unsafe for a little wizard to run around in this situation.
But these words caused Bruce to feel extremely insecure.
What do you mean?
It was true that he wanted to leave the team, but as soon as he made the first move, Dumbledore immediately noticed something was wrong.
It's just too fast.
Bruce didn't believe that Dumbledore was omnipotent and always kept an eye on every student.
The only explanation was that the old man had been staring at him.
Bruce concluded that Dumbledore must be hiding something.
Otherwise, why would they target a harmless first-year student like me?
"Katum." Bruce could only ask the owl, "I'm afraid I can't get away right now. Please help me find Hermione."
"There's no need for that." Katum said dazedly.
The owl hadn't spoken just now because this lazy guy had been sleeping on Bruce's shoulder. Katum was half asleep and half awake, and said vaguely, "Hermione will be fine, at most she's just a little frightened."
He knew the plot. This was just a bonding event among the three main characters. There was nothing to worry about.
But Dumbledore on the other side felt a little strange because Bruce had not responded: "Bruce, is there a problem?"
"Oh, no, Mr. Headmaster, I was just worried about Hermione."
Bruce wasn't lying, but since the owl said she was fine, Hermione should really be fine.
"If you're really worried, we could go find Miss Granger together."
Dumbledore smiled kindly, "Allowing a student to be in danger is also a dereliction of duty on my part as the headmaster."
At this point, Bruce had no reason to refuse.
"Very well then, Headmaster."
Bruce followed in Dumbledore's footsteps.
His face remained expressionless, and he kept wondering in his mind why Dumbledore insisted on him going with him.
Then the more I thought about it, the more I felt that Dumbledore was not a good person.
……
Bruce followed Dumbledore and searched the study room, but there was no sign of Hermione.
But neither of them showed any sign of anxiety.
Bruce got Katum's assurance that Hermione would be fine.
Dumbledore always looked calm and composed, as if everything was under control.
After searching everywhere and failing to find Hermione, he suddenly said, "Bruce, I suddenly remembered something from the past."
Bruce said, "What is it, Headmaster?"
"That was probably fifty years ago."
Dumbledore looked reminiscent, "One year, Hogwarts also encountered a similar incident. A monster appeared in Hogwarts and killed a female student."
Bruce tensed up, not understanding why Dumbledore would bring up such a past event.
Is he threatening himself?
Fifty years ago, Dumbledore could kill a female student, and fifty years later, he could easily kill a male student!
Dumbledore continued, "As for the murderer, I roughly guessed who it was. It was a student at Hogwarts.
“I gave him a chance to confess to me, but he said nothing.
"After that, that student graduated and turned the entire wizarding world upside down. I have always regretted it. If I had taken action earlier, many things might not have happened."
After saying that, he lowered his head and looked at Bruce with an elusive look.
"What do you think people will do when they encounter the same problem again after making a wrong decision?"
"I don't know, Principal."
Bruce was extremely nervous at this point. If Dumbledore dared to make any wrong move, he would immediately throw the owl on his shoulder at the old man's face and turn around and run away.
He couldn't defeat Dumbledore now, but that didn't mean he had to sit there and wait for death.
There was a hint of complexity in Dumbledore's eyes.
"Actually, I don't know either." Dumbledore sighed, "The child has an unlimited future, so we can't just jump to conclusions."
After saying this, he raised his head, as if he had made some important decision.
"Bruce, I actually noticed your talent a long time ago, and the teachers all spoke highly of you."
Dumbledore said softly, "I can't ignore a talent like you. Would you like to come to my office every day and learn something from me?"
Hearing this, the owl boy on Bruce's shoulder perked up.
If I heard correctly, Dumbledore said that he wanted to take Bruce as his last disciple?
