I use myths to create immortality
Chapter 121: Events in Dayan Cave, Master Tongtian
Chapter 121: Events in Dayan Cave, Master Tongtian
In the blink of an eye, ten years have passed.
Kunwu Mountain, in Dayan Cave.
For many years, the four seasons have remained like spring.
Pavilions and towers on Dayan Peak; on the stone platform and jade steps, Ji Yuan held a broom and swept down a fallen leaf.
“Everything in this cave is good, except that it’s too dead and silent.” Ji Yuan sighed.
Today is his first day out of quarantine.
It's not like he's come out of seclusion, but he just can't adapt to the life of seclusion and cultivation for too long. He feels that if it goes on for too long, his state of mind will be affected, not to mention other things.
Retreat also requires a certain state of mind.
So I came out to clean Dayan Peak.
There were no servants in Dayan Peak, and the only people alive were Ji Yuan and the Great Ancestor of Dayan.
However, after Patriarch Dayan went down the mountain ten years ago, he never came back and never sent a letter to the mountain gate.
This cave is very big, but there are actually no living creatures, including mosquitoes, fish, shrimps, snakes, insects, birds, beasts and other small animals.
Moreover, it is spring all year round and the sky never gets dark.
In the sky, sometimes inspiration would condense into fake cranes, flying in the distance.
Ji Yuan cast a spell to catch one, only to find out it was a fake.
It's so lonely.
No wonder old monster Dayan doesn’t want to stay in the cave at all.
He doesn't stay at home all day and leaves as soon as he comes back.
"Perhaps this is how spiritual practice should be." Ji Yuan put down the broom in his hand.
If you don’t do this, you won’t be able to let go of all kinds of material things and desires.
Beauty consumes the bones, gold and silver rot the body, power dazzles the eyes.
No wonder those senior masters can seclude themselves for hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years.
Since you have nothing here, you can only retreat to comprehend magic skills or study scriptures.
When you immerse yourself in it, you will unconsciously forget everything and time.
I don't even notice the time.
The so-called 'fairy-like days'.
That's it.
Don’t worry about food and drink, don’t worry about clothes, don’t worry about children and elders, don’t worry about superiors.
No worries either.
Because if one continues to practice like this, within a few years, all of one’s worldly desires will die.
There are not so many joys and angers, and I feel boring about everything.
There is only one heart seeking the truth, and everything else can be discarded.
In order to become an immortal, one can do anything, and there is no longer any humanity, preferences, or emotions.
If there is, it can only come from the magical powers, spells, and magic weapons that help one become an immortal or increase one's strength.
The whole thing has become a machine designed only for the purpose of achieving immortality.
Everything you want will be related to immortality and cultivation.
So Ji Yuan decided to go out and walk around; to see the scenery, the birds and the animals, and to find his own hobbies.
However, there is no living thing on Dayan Peak.
The silence was terrifying.
But the strange thing is that Ji Yuan didn't actually feel lost or anything.
He seemed to have gotten used to loneliness.
“The true state of mind is not to become stone, but to be able to control one’s own desires and preferences, to be the master of the three corpses rather than the servant of the three insects.” A hint of enlightenment flashed in Ji Yuan’s eyes.
The Samadhi Fire in the Dantian surrounds the internal organs and the acupoints, constantly tempering the flesh and blood body, like a magic pill in a copper furnace.
It was as if all the inexplicable evil spirits and evil thoughts in my heart were burned away by the divine fire; and all the new thoughts were stripped away.
It was blessed out of thin air in the incarnation of the soul.
"My state of mind is constantly rising. This is the most difficult thing to do in cultivation. Is it because of the incarnation of the soul?"
“Just like beheading the three corpses, it will strip away all of my uncontrollable emotions and thoughts, and restore my true self…” Ji Yuan speculated in his heart.
"It seems that there is no such thing as three corpses in this world."
It’s not right to say no.
In this world, the three corpses are called three insects.
It is also the attachment to good and evil, which must also be cut off before one can achieve the Dao Fruit of Hunyuan.
But they are just three insects, they will not transform into an incarnation if you kill them.
It just cuts off part of your own consciousness.
Before Dayan left, he explained to Ji Yuan the mysteries of the various realms of the immortal way.
Among them, some Ji Yuan had heard of but didn't understand, and some had never heard of at all.
Just like killing three insects.
Dayan said that those who cultivate a body that is indestructible are only one step away from becoming an immortal.
There is often another state of mind called "Kill Three and Swallow Six".
Kill the three insects and eliminate human desires.
Swallow the six airs and gain immortality.
Only in this way can one be in harmony with the Great Way, be eternal and immortal, be indestructible from all calamities, be omniscient and omnipotent, and have infinite supernatural powers and wisdom.
It is really useful to learn from a master. There are many tricks that are simply unheard of without a master to teach.
There are many mysteries in the realm of Taoism.
The gap between them is even greater than the changes in the Yiqi and Tongxuan realms combined.
Ji Yuancai had only reached the first Qi realm, but as soon as he became his disciple, Dayan first taught him these.
He didn't say anything about his low level of cultivation or that he shouldn't be too ambitious. If he didn't know about the mysterious Dayan above Hunyuan, he might have told Ji Yuan everything.
Even so, Ji Yuan felt that he had gained a lot.
Just like Tongxuan, it is actually divided into two parts.
The first part is about the achievement of the soul after overcoming the three disasters, and the second part is about the change in the quality of mana.
The mystery of the Tao is divided into four steps.
The first step is to cultivate magic power for 129,600 years to perfection, to reach the state of refining the void and merging with the true, to be able to break through the small thousand realms at will, to affect the void, and to have thoughts that can instantly be thrown into many worlds, to affect the power of heaven and earth, and to have immense power with just a move.
The second step, to kill three and swallow six, is to enter the realm of semi-immortality. The strength remains unchanged from before, returning to nature, the state of mind reaches perfection, and there is a hint of Tao in every move.
The third step is to reverse the innate nature. At this point, the energy in your body is pure and unmatched, your body is flawless, and the foundation for longevity has been established.
The last step is to be indestructible. For many top Taoist masters, it is not enough to have the strength of an immortal. They must also have the immortal blood-locking immortality ability. When they have cultivated to the extreme, they will have the indestructible and indestructible nature of gold. At this point, they can be called the quasi-master, because they cannot be killed no matter how hard they try.
The first three steps are still within the realm of the Tao.
But the last step, all it takes to become an immortal is timing and luck.
So strictly speaking, by the fourth step, it can no longer be simply considered a miracle of the Tao. The spiritual practice community will also call it an immortal or a saint, and it is not an exaggeration.
For example, the Golden Immortal and the Great Sage.
It’s just that the supreme one among the human race is called immortal, while the supreme one among the demon race is called saint.
Gold is immortal and indestructible.
Among them, the Golden Immortals are divided into Daluo Golden Immortals, Taiyi Golden Immortals, etc. There is no superiority or inferiority between the two, they just take different paths.
The Daluo Golden Immortal, Taiyi Golden Immortal, or the Great Sage, all possess the characteristic of being indestructible and are infinitely close to the Hunyuan Dao Fruit, the only thing missing is timing and destiny.
As long as their destiny is not over, the founder of Hunyuan Sect will no longer be able to kill Daluo and Taiyi.
However, what troubles the immortals at this time is their lifespan.
Except for the founder who has fully realized Hunyuan, he can achieve eternal enlightenment and transcend time, life and death.
The rest of the Taiyi and Daluo are still unable to achieve immortality.
It is certain that the lifespan far exceeds that of ordinary Taoists.
Dayan had never seen a Golden Immortal and didn't know how long he lived.
People like the Golden Immortal can often be on equal terms with the Immortals.
The difference between a Golden Immortal and an ordinary Taoist is just like the difference between an ordinary Taoist and an ordinary One Qi Realm cultivator.
But in achieving the Tao, the third and fourth steps are actually parallel.
Those who can reverse their innate nature will often be able to become Golden Immortals.
The Great Ancestor of Dayan cultivated the Tao for 128,000 years, and as early as 100,000 years ago, his magical powers had reached 129,600 years.
Dao Miao's lifespan is 129,600 years, and his magical powers of 129,600 years are also the limit of Dao Miao's lifespan.
In terms of magical power, Dayan had already reached the limit of Dao Miao one hundred thousand years ago.
But now, a hundred thousand years have passed, and he is still stuck in the first level of Dao Miao.
He failed to achieve any of the following: Kill Three, Swallow Six, or Reverse the Innate Power.
Ancestor Yin is at the same realm as Dayan, and neither of them has killed three or swallowed six.
However, Patriarch Yin also has a magical power of one yuan.
Possessing a magic weapon.
Therefore, there is a huge gap in strength between the two.
The mysterious basis of Xian Xing's Taoism is nothing else but the ability to make one's magic power rapidly increase after overcoming the three disasters.
As long as one can survive the three disasters, achieving Taoism is almost certain.
And it's fast.
"I have underestimated the value of magic weapons before. Fortunately, I didn't refine magic weapons before I was promoted to the true teaching level." Ji Yuan took a step forward and was already hundreds of feet away.
The figure went directly from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain.
Through the communication with Dayan, especially when he hinted at the magical weapons, Ji Yuan understood a lot.
To create a magic weapon, materials, spiritual treasures, magical powers and time are far from enough.
You also need some luck.
This destiny is beyond our reach and cannot be seen or felt, but it does exist.
Without luck, you cannot create a magic weapon.
Fortunately, I had not started refining before because I had many concerns and had not yet fully understood them.
Now that I have achieved the true teachings of Dongtian and obtained the luck of the supreme sect, I have made up for the problem of luck.
Perhaps, this was partly the reason why the previous attempts to practice the Heaven-Flipping Seal and the Wind Bag to achieve magical powers had failed.
Rather than simply being limited by the material. In fact, according to the theory of this world, the real importance of magic weapons is the Tao, that is, the supernatural power. It is the object of supernatural power and the treasure of the Tao.
Using bricks or scrap iron will not have much impact.
Of course, the effect of using spiritual treasures will be a thousand times better after achieving success.
It’s just a little weird that Ji Yuan’s way of practicing magic weapons is completely different from that in this world, even going against the grain.
Instead, we need to use magic weapons to verify the supernatural powers.
Others have already mastered the farming techniques, but are not sure whether they can produce 10,000 kilograms per mu, so they go to the mountains to cut wood, find some copper and iron, and make a hoe.
The main function is still to dig the ground, and the auxiliary function is to protect the road. After all, a hoe can also hit people.
But there are almost no people who use magic weapons purely in fighting, which is putting the cart before the horse.
The magic weapon itself is used to verify the Great Dao and as a prerequisite for achieving the Great Dao. It is equivalent to a preliminary test product for achieving Hunyuan.
If one has sufficient confidence and luck, one can directly attain the state of Hunyuan. Therefore, some Hunyuan masters do not have innate treasures.
If you don’t have enough confidence, first try to see if your own avenue can be transformed into something innate and have an immortal nature. If successful, this item will be a magic weapon.
So theoretically speaking, anyone who can master magic weapons can achieve the state of Hun Yuan.
Therefore, it is said that the status of the innate magic weapon is equivalent to that of an immortal.
However, there are also many Golden Immortals who have already mastered the magic tools to achieve enlightenment, but for many reasons, they have not achieved the enlightenment of Hunyuan.
After they fell.
Magical weapons will become the main source of magic weapons for Qi-refining practitioners below the level of immortals.
But they are extremely precious, and each one is very famous.
It is very attractive to Dao Miao. Getting someone else's magic weapon can not only help one comprehend the great principles contained therein, but also significantly improve combat power.
But never mind magic weapons.
Even the top-notch magical weapons are not easy to obtain.
Otherwise, when they were in Zhongzhou, Dao Miao of the Dragon Clan would not have bullied the weak and tried to snatch Ji Yuan's wind bag.
For ordinary Taoists, it is easier to refine or find a divine or demonic treasure.
The most precious treasure of gods and demons, its status is equivalent to that of magic weapons.
It also has a power far exceeding that of magic weapons.
It is a companion of gods and demons.
As the power of gods and demons reaches its peak, they gradually transform into corresponding weapon forms.
For example, knives, guns, swords, and rulers.
Because although it looks like a magic weapon, it has various magical powers such as wind, thunder, water, fire, or trapping people, binding, and pretending to be a human or a god.
But it can also change unpredictably and at will. Holding it in your hand, it can instantly increase the force by billions of kilograms.
So it was called the Ruyi Magical Weapon.
"The power of the magic weapon is indeed very strong. If Huang Xie didn't have that magic weapon in his hand, his strength would be inferior to that of an ordinary Taoist priest. How could I be killed by his axe?" Ji Yuan recalled the power of the magic weapon.
My heart began to tremble for no reason.
Fortunately, it hit the second incarnation of the spirit.
If it happened to me now, not to mention the power, just the light from it would cause me to lose my mind.
It can also become bigger or smaller.
When it gets bigger, it can become thousands of feet long along with the Dharma body. However, that is obviously not the limit of the magic weapon, but the limit of the yellow snail.
Some are as small as Jie Zi. Although when Huang Jie was taken out, it was covered with yellow mist, it looked like it appeared out of thin air in his hands when he stretched out his hands.
But because they were close, the Xuanpin Pearl could still be seen clearly. That magical weapon was clearly taken out of Huang Xie's hair.
This means that normally, he turns into hair and is hidden in the hair tips.
If you hold it in your hand and shake it slightly, the stars will shake; if you wave it slightly, the mountains will collapse and the earth will crack for thousands of miles.
Huang Xie possesses a magical weapon, let alone a second soul.
Even if he reaches the true realm of Taoism, he may still be no match for the yellow snail.
Let the second soul take the Heaven-Flipping Seal, and it may be able to fight against the divine weapon for a few times.
It is also possible that Huang Xie could be hit by the Heaven-Flipping Seal.
I just don't know if the Fantian Seal can kill Huang Xie's thousand-foot-long Dharma body with one seal.
Ji Yuan’s original body definitely cannot do that.
The gap in strength is too big. Even with the half-magic weapon, the Heaven-Flipping Seal, there is no chance.
Thousands of miles away, Huang Xie swung his axe and turned everything into ashes.
Only when the second soul holds the Heaven-Flipping Seal will there be a chance to use it.
“However, the second soul will soon have to go through a great tribulation. If it fails, we’ll have to rely on this day!” Ji Yuan felt heavy-hearted.
Whether the second soul can successfully survive the catastrophe and truly achieve the truth is related to many of Ji Yuan’s plans.
Only when the second soul is certified as a Taoist, will Ji Yuan be absolutely sure to master it and the magic weapon.
Although he has the support of the Supreme Religion and the master behind him.
But you can't always put all your hopes on others.
It's impossible to stay in Kunwu forever, you have to go out.
Ji Yuan really didn't like this situation.
The mountain you lean on may fall, the only person you can truly rely on is yourself.
As long as the second soul is truly realized, the Tao will be wonderful.
And if he is a Taoist who possesses an immortal body, then he will be able to fully protect his magic weapon.
Especially after seeing a magical weapon that instantly amplified a trash Taoist Huang Mie into a top-notch Taoist weapon.
Well, if it really doesn't work, Ji Yuan is completely capable of turning the table over and giving the magic weapon to the second incarnation of the soul.
Anyone who wants to steal his property will be killed, no matter how great the obstacles are.
The Tao is wonderful and not scary.
It is not terrible for a person in the Yi Qi realm to hold a magic weapon. At most, he can be comparable to an ordinary Taoist master.
But if a Taoist master holds a magic weapon, even a Golden Immortal or a Great Sage would have to think carefully about it.
Ji Yuan returned to his retreat cave once again.
It is called a cave, but in fact it is a huge palace.
After all, he is the chief disciple of Dayan Cave.
There can't be no palace at all.
Dayan Peak is mainly where the Dayan Taoist priests live. There are various halls and pavilions, which house various scriptures from the Dayan Cave and various materials.
Let Ji Yuan use it at will.
Ji Yuan’s cave palace is not on Dayan Peak, but on Lingtai Mountain, a branch of Dayan Peak.
It is about a hundred miles away from Dayan Peak.
It is hundreds of feet high and hundreds of miles wide, with cliffs, steep cliffs, and Ji Yuan’s favorite bamboo forests and lakes on the side.
The palace garden on Lingtai Peak is also very large, several acres wide. In addition to the quiet room for cultivation, there are also pavilions, waterside terraces, martial arts training grounds, and even magic venues.
These were left behind by countless generations of disciples.
Ji Yuan named it Lingtai Cave because of the branch it is located on, which is named Lingtai Peak.
In fact, in Dayan Cave Heaven, there are two other uncle lineages, namely Danling Mountain and Chiling Mountain.
However, the spiritual realm is vast, and Ji Yuan doesn’t know where the two peaks are.
Up to now, in the past ten years, no disciples from those two peaks have been seen.
Now that Ji Yuan has Lingtai Peak, he can be called a Taoist priest and can also accept disciples and hire servants.
A true disciple naturally has the status of an inner disciple.
It is just that it is generally not included in the heavenly book and jade volume of the true teachings.
The Heavenly Jade Book is Kunwu's core legal book, which records the birthplace, generation, achievements and merits of each true disciple.
The list in the Jade Book of Heaven is blessed by Kunwu's destiny and has various privileges and conveniences. Only it is the official and certified true teachings of a great religion.
If she is not entered into this Heavenly Book and Jade Volume, even with Yin Yaoer's status, she would only be an inner sect disciple.
Disciples, relatives, and descendants of true disciples must still participate in the true teachings ceremony in order to be included in the heavenly book and obtain the superior Dharma.
They cannot even teach their great Dharma or great supernatural powers.
Otherwise it is considered private transmission.
Of course, Ji Yuan’s magical powers such as calling the wind and rain, moving mountains and filling the sea do not count.
It means that the inherited magical powers, spells, and various core secrets of the Ten Kunwu Dharma Lineages cannot be taught to disciples who do not have the true identity.
I can only point out some drawbacks of practice.
But in the short term, Ji Yuan will not accept any disciples.
He felt that he hadn't figured out many things yet, so how dare he mislead the students.
We are not recruiting servants for the time being.
There is no need for anyone to serve you. Too many people will disturb the peace.
"Now everything is ready. It all depends on whether the incarnation can survive the catastrophe." Ji Yuan sat in the quiet room, but his thoughts had drifted to the incarnation of Baiman Mountain.
……
Baiman Mountain, Yinfeng Cave.
Taoist Xingxiu and his thirteen other disciples gathered in the wide cave.
At the top, a tall, sturdy and handsome middle-aged Taoist priest paid homage.
"Disciples congratulate our Grandmaster for coming out of seclusion! May Master enjoy eternal blessings and a long life!!"
The middle-aged Taoist turned around. His exact age could not be seen clearly, but his face was like a full moon and he had a long beard under his chin.
Her long black hair was tied into a Tai Chi bun with a jade hairpin, and she wore a lotus crown, a loose basket shirt embroidered with cloud patterns and cranes, a long robe with wide sleeves, and cloud socks and straw sandals.
In his hand he holds a white jade whisk, and around his waist he wears a silk thread made of water and fire.
When one looks at it, one senses an immortal aura and a floating Taoist spirit.
It's just that his skin has a golden tint, like a bronze man, and it feels a little weird and extraordinary.
But the disciples below knew that it was not someone else.
It was their leader, the Green Robe Ancestor who, according to rumors, had been killed by the Yellow Snake of Jiuqu Mountain.
Just got out of customs today.
"No need to be polite. From now on, do not call me Green Robe Patriarch anymore. Green Robe is dead."
"Ask me, Taoist Tongtian, to change the name of Baiman Mountain back to its original name, Jin'ao Island."
