Chapter 293 The Familiar Flame

Chapter 293 The Familiar Flame

Rhodes sat on the ground and rested for a while. After calming down, he manifested a sword and a bright flashlight again, and walked outside the castle.

He hasn't explored the third floor of the castle yet, and it's still early. If there is no accident, he will be able to finish the castle tonight.

If he successfully explored the castle today, he decided to rest for a few days in the conscious world where the black cats were, and learn about their common sense from them.

Rhodes felt that the buffalo should know what those consciousness aggregates were.

He returned to the hallway with the sword and headed for the stairs leading to the third floor, after the idol had been destroyed.

Rhodes felt that the atmosphere in the castle was not as weird as before.

Before, he always felt the feeling of being spied on from various places.

Now the feeling of being spied on is much less, but Rhodes can still feel this feeling from time to time.

This means that the third floor of the castle still hides something similar to the statue, some kind of aggregate of consciousness.

The crystallization left after the consciousness aggregate was killed, in addition to absorbing Rhodes' ability to recover part of the real world in this conscious world, should also be able to absorb false gods like Black Cat and the others.

But like a black cat, it should only be able to absorb happy consciousness aggregates.

But even if Rhodes happens to get it, how to bring it to the conscious world is still a problem.

Seeing the poor appearance of the black cat, there is nothing that can be exchanged with Rhodes.

Rhodes walked cautiously on the circular staircase leading to the third floor. This staircase gave him a feeling of disrepair and danger, as if he might fall down at any time.

Crunch!Crunch!
Every time Rhodes took a step, the stairs under his feet would make an overwhelmed sound.

Why do I have to take this staircase?
Thinking of this, Rhodes manifested a rope with iron claws in front.

He took the middle of the rope and spun it, then threw the part with the iron claws upwards.

The iron claw was firmly stuck between the railings on the outside of the third floor. Rhodes pulled it hard, and after confirming that he would not fall, he climbed up the rope.

If only I'd used a portable rocket launcher, I wouldn't have to wrestle with my hands like this.

Rhodes thought unrealistically while climbing up the rope.

It didn't take long for Rhodes to climb to the third floor of the castle along the rope.

The third floor is much brighter than the two floors below. Through the nearby windows made of crystal, Rhodes can still see the weird red sky outside.

Rhodes held up a bright flashlight and carefully looked at the portraits on the wall on the third floor. The walls on the third floor were covered with countless portraits of the same person, and these portraits all had the same characteristics.

Each portrait looks inexplicably weird and evil, and all the characters in the portraits seem to be staring at Rhodes, with greed in their eyes, just like looking at delicious food.

Rhode's scalp was numb from the figures in these portraits. Thinking of the magical flame protection, Rhodes raised his sword and slashed at a portrait. The man in the portrait was dressed in aristocratic costumes, his face was pale, and his eyes were greedy.

The man in the portrait screamed with a distorted expression, and then the frame shattered with a "bang".

The man was covered in blood, and the place where the picture frame was broken could clearly see the bloody wounds on his body.

Rhodes held the long sword and continued to slash the broken portrait on the ground. Every time the sword went down, the man on the portrait would let out a painful wail.

The portrait was cut into countless pieces, but it still didn't turn into white light and disappear.

Rhodes stared at the debris under his feet, thinking about how to destroy it, and the man in the portrait also stared at Rhodes with resentment.

"Can you talk?" Rhodes asked.

None of the surrounding portraits responded to him, so he took off all the portraits on the wall one by one and piled them on the aisle next to him.

Rhodes manifested a lighter and a barrel of gasoline. He poured the gasoline on the pile of portraits, and then lit the pile of portraits with a lighter.

A raging fire rose in front of Rhodes, and these portraits wailed in pain in the flames, their shrill voices were like ghosts.

I feel much more comfortable.

After all the portraits were ignited, Rhodes felt the sense of peeping disappear.

As the flame burned, countless white lights emerged, half dissipated in the air, and half merged into Rhodes' body.

so comfortable.

Rhodes almost groaned with pleasure, but because he felt too ashamed, he finally held back.

He felt that after these two strengthenings, his body in the conscious world was much more solid than before. If this body hadn't died, it should be able to gradually grow bigger like the black cat and the bison.

The flames were extinguished with astonishing speed, and nothing remained on the stone floor, not even a speck of ash.

Red light shone into the lower two floors of the castle, driving the darkness away.

Rhodes noticed that these rays of light converged to one point on the first floor of the castle, focusing on a statue in the castle hall.

This statue is a knight who puts his sword in front of him and bows his head in silence, and those lights focus on the gems inlaid on the hilt of the huge sword in front of the knight.

Seeing this situation, Rhodes returned to the first floor again.

He came to the statue and knocked on the gem on the hilt with his hand.

As a result nothing happens.

Rhodes put his hand on the gemstone again, pressed the gemstone and rotated it a few times.

As the stone rotates, the path of the light reflection changes.

Rhodes carefully observed the surroundings, and he focused the reflected light on a magic circle engraved in the window made of crystal.

Before the light shone into the first floor, it was impossible for this magic circle to be discovered.

As the reflected light continuously entered the magic circle, the lines in the magic circle turned orange red and flickered continuously.

The orange-red light became brighter and brighter, and finally exploded.

Rhodes was overwhelmed by the burst of light...

Where is this place?

Rhodes stood up unsteadily.

He looked up at the sky, the sky here is not as weird as before, but just like the real world, with white clouds floating in the blue sky.

The green grass on the ground is covered with morning dew, and insects hide in the grass.

Rhodes looked at the castle not far away, and felt a little familiar, a bit like the one he had entered before.

He walked towards the castle, but was stopped by two soldiers in bright silver armor at the gate.

"Today is your lord's birthday party. If you want your lord to uphold justice for you, you have to wait until tomorrow." One of the soldiers said.

Rhode poked his head in and saw many familiar people, as if he had seen them in the portrait on the third floor of the castle.

Seeing that Rhodes didn't go in, the soldier poked his head in curiously and didn't say anything.

"Give way!" Rhodes heard a voice behind him.

He looked back, and saw a greasy middle-aged man driving a carriage towards the castle.

One of the soldiers pulled Rhodes aside, barely avoiding the oncoming carriage.

"You don't have to thank me." The soldier smiled.

Rhodes noticed a statue dragged behind the carriage, and that statue was the one he saw on the second floor of the castle.

"Don't look, go back early, the banquet is about to start." Another soldier said.

Rhodes was surprised to find that the sky had turned dark, and it was still daytime a second ago.

And Rhodes was instantly teleported to a high ground not far from the castle.

The castle was lit up and beautiful music sounded.

Not long after, a hazy mist rose around the castle, and the music stopped abruptly, replaced by the screams of women and the wailing of men...

Thanks for a monthly ticket with that name!
