Chapter 16 Night Battle on Shell Street ([-])

Several people stared dumbfoundedly at Karl's spell causing destruction.

"I didn't expect you to be quite strong," Smith pushed his glasses and praised.

"Cut," Carl looked at him contemptuously, and said, "It's pretty strong, it's worth the money, and you've earned it!"

Soon Carl discovered a strange phenomenon. The explosion caused by the bursting fireball did not attract any crowd of onlookers. Except for a few people, only corpses remained in the whole street.

"There is movement," Carl interrupted the plan of several people to check the corpse.

Sweeping his eyes to the right, he saw a few black figures flashing past his sight, moving very fast, and looking like wild wolves or bobcats in size.

Several people quickly approached Karl, protecting him in the middle.

"Carl, what is it? A spellcaster?" Mark asked in a low voice.

"Not a spellcaster, not even a human, like a lynx or a wolf."

Turning back suddenly, there were still several black shadows flashing by, moving in the darkness.

"Beasts?" Mike was taken aback for a moment, and then his tone suddenly became more relaxed, "There is nothing to be afraid of beasts, just a few beasts, don't be so alarmist, I killed not 50 beasts in my hometown, but also 30."

"Don't underestimate the enemy," Smith said calmly, "Think about where this is and why there are wild beasts in Dalaran!"

Looking around for a week, those black figures always flashed out of sight and hid in the shadows. Karl frowned and reminded: "Something is wrong. These beasts look very cunning and have been moving out of our sight."

Carl said with some concern: "These things seem to be directed by someone, and they can perceive our field of vision."

"No way, don't scare me, could it be that the Snowman King of Alterac ran into Dalaran," Mike shuddered.

"The Snowman King doesn't have such a high IQ."

"What would that be?" Mike asked.

Carl shook his head.

"Light Art!"

Carl flicked his fingers, and a ball of light floated out from between his fingers, and the surroundings suddenly lit up. Smith, Mark, and Mike narrowed their eyes, allowing themselves to adapt to the sudden light in the darkness as soon as possible.

Smith looked up at the ball of light, "This doesn't seem to be an ordinary light technique, and the ordinary light technique is not so bright."

"Some nerds who only know how to cast spells according to the model?" Carl smiled proudly: "I have more than a dozen models of Light Art, this one has the largest range and longest duration, and of course consumes the most mana."

Then the three wolves rushed over from three directions, and two rushed towards Smith and a member of the security team on the left. They swung their long swords and flew the two wolves away.

Several people finally saw the appearance of these beasts clearly.

The body shape looks like a wild wolf, but instead of hair, it is a thick layer of black rock that is attached to the body surface. There are cracks all over the rock surface, and red light shines through the black rock skin.

The few people present were shocked, what kind of creature is this?
"Be careful!" Smith reminded.

Another three black wolves pounced on them, and several of them had to face the attack of five black wolves at the same time.

"Mage armor." Karl unfolded the mage armor and cast another 2-level spell.

The moment the black wolves jumped into the air, the spell was completed.

"Arcane Arrow!"

Three arcane arrows accurately hit the heads of the three black wolves, and the spell directly penetrated the heads of the black wolves, destroying the brains of the black wolves, and the three bodies fell to the ground.

"Amazing!" A team member of the public security station exclaimed, "So you are so amazing!"

The remaining two wild wolves swarmed up and gradually suppressed the two wild beasts. Finally, they were pierced through the brain by a sword, and there was no sound.

Smith led four men on the right side, and Mark and Mike protected the left side.

Turning sideways, he could feel the sound of the wind behind him, and out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a black figure leaping towards him, and Karl subconsciously blocked it with his arms.

The black shadow opened its huge mouth and bit Karl's arm, which was blocked by the mage's armor and did not cause any harm to Karl.

Karl hastily pulled out the arm from the giant wolf's mouth, but failed.

The giant wolf bit Karl's arm firmly, pulled it back, and then twisted it. Karl only felt a huge force coming from his arm, and his whole body flew up uncontrollably.

"boom!"

He fell firmly to the ground, and Karl felt his body fall apart from the blow.

There is no harm in Karl with mage armor, it's just embarrassing.

Others quickly gathered around to rescue Karl, but the giant wolf jumped aside when he saw that he couldn't take advantage of it, and confronted them.

Karl stood up and patted the dust off his body, feeling so dangerous, if he hadn't put on a mage armor in advance, he would have died.

Mark took the lead to block in front of Karl, and slashed out with a big sword in both hands. Mark and the giant wolf fought, dodging or blocking. Mark defended against the attack of the giant wolf. Adjust the position to trap the giant wolf in the middle.

With the help of Karl's spells, the encirclement gradually narrowed, and the giant wolf rushed left and right and was unable to break out of the encirclement. Without the advantage of speed, it gradually fell into a disadvantage.

Of the three arcane arrows, two hit the giant wolf's hind legs, and one passed by.

"Aww!" The giant wolf let out a scream, and fled back into the shadows with a limp.

Carl shrugged and explained, "Too fast to aim."

"Quack quack!"

Harsh laughter came from the shadows.
