Journey to Azeroth

Chapter 40 Missing Persons

Chapter 40 Missing Persons
Dunn ran into the office without knocking on the door.

"Carl, Mr. Leonard," Dunn greeted, and pulled Carl's clothes directly to drag him away.

"stop!"

Carl, who was being pulled by Dunn, accidentally knocked over the materials on the table, and the parchment that recorded the materials was scattered all over the floor. Carl stopped and squatted down to pick up the materials.

Dunn and the others also knelt down to help, and after a while they finally cleaned up.

"We've made a big discovery," Dunne announced.

"About those black wolves?"

"That's right," Dunn said excitedly to Carl as if he had discovered the New World, "After we searched Shell Street to the bottom and found nothing, we changed the direction of our search and investigated the missing persons."

"What did you find?" Carlton suddenly became interested.

"We found an important clue." Dunn took out a photo from his pocket, and it was a black-haired human little girl who looked about the same age as Jaina, between 10 and 12 years old.

Showing the photo to Carl and Leonard, Dunn introduced: "This little girl is called Lisa, and she is the younger sister of the president of the Thieves Guild."

Carl was a little confused by the nonsensical words, and asked, "What's next?"

"This little girl named Lisa is missing, but the thieves union did not come to the public security station to report the case."

Karl was a little puzzled, why this guy keeps talking nonsense, the thieves union can go to the police station to report the crime, the thieves union reports the crime, it is equivalent to the mouse coming to the cat to pay New Year's greetings, and they will report to the sword of dawn when their brains are flooded. Before entering the door, he was directly caught by the guards and locked in a cell. Then came the hand-cutting session, which is the most popular part of the trial and the public.

"The Thieves Guild doesn't need to notify you at all, they can search by themselves," Carl looked at Dunn with a foolish look, and then told him the truth.

"The point is that the thieves' union didn't search," looking at Carl and Leonard's puzzled eyes, he explained, "In fact, the thieves' union acted as if nothing had happened, and didn't take any action."

"What do you think?" Dunn asked.

Just as Karl was about to answer, he thought about it again. He is a mage from the Mages Association, not an official of the security station. Even if he has a mage consultant in the security station, he is just a temporary worker. Why should he work for the security station for free.

"I'm just sitting and watching. This kind of case that endangers the security of Dalaran is under your jurisdiction. I'm just a mage from the Mage Association." Carl stopped himself from speaking his true thoughts in time, and began to talk nonsense with Dunn.

Rubbing his forehead, Dunn's head was a bit big, and by looking at Carl's expression, he knew that this guy was planning to get rid of his wool again. As an outsourced mage consultant, Carl was really easy to use, and Dunn also recognized his strength. Otherwise, he wouldn't have rushed over to ask Karl the first time there were more than a dozen mage consultants in the public security station. The only disadvantage was that the mage consultants were a bit expensive.

Thinking of this, Dunn managed to get Carl to speak with just two words, "Paid!"

"Hey hey," Karl smiled wretchedly when he saw the thoughts in his heart being seen through, and continued, "Three conjectures."

"First of all, this little girl named Lisa is already dead. Naturally, the Thieves Guild won't look for it. They can't bring the dead back to life."

"Secondly, Lisa has been found and is safe."

"The last one, the Thieves Union knows where Lisa is, but for some reason there is no way or strength to save her."

"Let's go," Dunn pulled Carl and was about to go out, "Let's go to the Thieves Guild to investigate now."

"But I'm at work," Carl explained to Dunn, about being on duty for Desai.

"It's okay," Leonard's voice came from the side, "Don't worry, I'm still here, and it won't affect your money."

Hearing that he made money twice, Dunn wiped his sweat. Does he look like he was taken advantage of?

After bidding farewell to Leonard, Karl, Dunn and others left the Mage Association.

When Karl stepped out of the Mage Association with his first foot, he took out the traveling cloak he bought from Leonard with 3 gold coins from his magic pocket, then pulled the hood up, hiding his face in the shadows.

"What are you doing?" Dunn looked at him strangely, and continued.

"It's not because of what happened last time," Carl yelled into Dunn's ear angrily, "Everyone in Dalaran thinks I'm a pervert. Every time I go out, I'm surrounded by crowds!"

Wiping off his sweat, Dunn managed to divert Carl's attention, took out two photos from his pocket and threw them to Carl, and introduced them to Carl while he was looking at the photos.

Rusya, the president of the Thieves Guild, is also the sister of the missing little girl Lisa. She is powerful, has good opponents, and is kind and righteous.

Ruthia is a black-haired human woman with a beautiful appearance.

"President Beauty?" Carl asked wretchedly.

"The kind of beauty among beauties, but don't underestimate her, she is very strong."

Looking at Carl's questioning eyes, Dunn continued, "Better than me."

"Tch, that's not that strong," Carl shrugged and said indifferently.

Tom, the second in command of the Thieves Guild, the vice president, is ruthless, a man who only recognizes money but not people, and is ambitious, but he doesn't know why he obeys the president Ruth's words.

Tom is a bearded human with a Mediterranean hairstyle. He doesn't look young, and his eyes are very murderous.

"Is this stronger than you too?"

"This is about the same as me," Dunn explained, "They are all professional thieves, and their frontal strength is not outstanding, except for their president, a woman named Lusiya."

Everyone passed through the mage area and came to the thieves' union in the corner of the civilian area.

The Thieves Guild occupies quite a large area. It is not so much a villa as it is a small manor. Several houses are located on several hundred square meters of land. The fence of the yard is more than two meters, blocking the sight of anyone who wants to peep.

A few wretched-looking thieves stood guard at the door, searching everyone who came in and out.

Everyone rushed directly to the door.

"The public security office handles the case, get out of the way quickly," he said, raising his foot and kicking a thief who was guarding the door away.

"Captain's best friend died at the hands of the Thieves Guild, and he has always hated this organization," explained Cal, one of the guards, in a low voice.

Carl wiped his sweat, "Is this the attitude of you asking about things? This is obviously here to mess things up."

"A few adults from the public security station, wait a moment," an older thief walked out of the line, showing a flattering smile, and said to them in a good-tempered manner: "We will notify them right away."

After a while, Karl saw a human man approaching, with a sparse Mediterranean hairstyle and a thick beard. It was Tom, the vice president of the Thieves Guild he had seen in the photo.
