Chapter 20 Everyone is a Torch
"Satisfied, naturally satisfied!"

Confucius was all smiles, looking at everything around him, he felt emotional:

"When I was born, the Zhou Dynasty was in decline, rituals and music were ruined. The princes and kingdoms were fighting against each other, and wars continued. The people of Li were miserable."

Confucius' eyes flashed with memories, as if he was savoring his life.

"When I was 15 years old, I had already made up my mind to find a real way out for this world of constant disputes. For this reason, I studied angrily and worked tirelessly. Even though my family was poor, I never gave up studying."

"Because I know that only by studying can there be a way out."

"When I was 20 years old, I read a lot of books, and the world praised me for my erudition and good manners. I started to get involved in the officialdom of the State of Lu. I started as a commissioned official, took the field, and at the age of 51, I was appointed as the governor of Zhongdu!"

Confucius was talking about his life in a calm manner, without too much turbulence, as if he was just a calm bystander, watching a little ant among all living beings.

Yi Ze didn't speak, just quietly being a listener.

"In the following years, I was promoted very quickly and almost acted as the governor of the State of Lu. Unfortunately, after only three months, I had to leave the State of Lu and travel around the country because of the jealousy of the king and the rejection of my colleagues."

"In the past 14 years, I have been to Wei, Cao, Song, Qi, Zheng, Jin, Chen, Cai, and Chu, but I have never been reused. When I was nearly 70 years old, I returned to Lu. country."

"When I was five out of ten, I was determined to learn. At thirty, I stood up. At forty, I was not confused. At fifty, I knew the destiny. At sixty, my ears were compliant. At seventy, I followed my heart and did not exceed the rules. Throughout my life, there have been hardships and ups and downs, and there have been glories. You have been brilliant before, when you are frustrated, you panic like a stray dog, Ze, I envy you all."

"Envy us?"

Yi Ze was stunned for a while, and then understood the meaning of Confucius' words.

"Yes, envious."

"I envy this country, which has a vast territory and is unified and prosperous; I envy the people here, and there are officials who love the people like children; I envy the people of your future generations, who live in prosperity."

"Your era is so beautiful!"

"Ze, what you take for granted is beyond our desire."

Confucius' expression was full of regret and longing.

It is a pity that he was born in the era when the princes fought in chaos, and the people were struggling to survive. They wanted to show their talents, but they were not accepted by the ruler.

What he longed for was the future generations he had seen with his own eyes, the country was peaceful and the people safe, prosperous and prosperous, everyone lived in abundance, the old were well cared for, and the young were cared for.

"Being able to see this prosperous scene, I will have no regrets in this life."

With a sigh of satisfaction from Confucius, the scroll of time suddenly closed, and the scene returned to the three-foot podium at the beginning in a blink of an eye.

On the podium, a volume of "The Analects of Confucius" has been opened, and the ink on it has not dried up.

On the blackboard, the two words "The Analects of Confucius" originally written by Yi Ze gradually spread out, and then turned into a brand new picture.

In the picture scroll, Confucius, who is getting old, is sitting on a bamboo mat for the last time, giving lectures to his disciples.

The content of this talk is about a dream of Confucius.

The Master said: "What a blessing! I have dreamed of the Duke of Zhou again!"

Zigong asked, "Master, you dream of Duke Zhou, why talk about it?"

The Master said: "I dream that in future generations, the world will be unified, and the people will live in peace and well-being. This can be called Datong!"

Ran You asked, "Master, what is Great Harmony?"

Confucius said: "In the conduct of the great road, the world is for the common good. Select the worthy and capable, be trustworthy and cultivate harmony. Therefore, people do not only kiss their relatives, nor do they only have children for their children;
Let the old have their end, the strong will be useful, the young will have their strengths, and those who are lonely, widowed, lonely, and sick will all be supported; men will have a share, and women will return.

Goods are evil, and they are abandoned on the ground, so there is no need to hide them in oneself; power is evil, and they do not come from the body, so there is no need to do it for yourself.

That's why you don't prosper if you conspire against others, you don't commit robbery and robbery, and you don't shut down outsiders. This is called Great Harmony. "

The picture was fixed on Confucius's eyes shining with divine light.

When Confucius said the word "Great Harmony" with some joy, the whole picture suddenly zoomed out, and the field of vision was lifted up in an instant.

The word Datong seems to rise from the ground, soar into the sky, and finally be imprinted on this world.

After a short period of calm, the sound of treading footsteps came.

As soon as the picture turned, Yi Ze walked slowly on the lush bamboo forest path, with a volume of "The Analects of Confucius" in his hand, full of scholarly fragrance.

His eyes are firm, his steps are steady, and his tone is serious.

"The prosperous age is like a song, and we have become accustomed to it."

"We seldom think about these things that we take for granted and think that they are like air. In fact, they are not easy to come by. They are the light that some people have never seen in their entire lives!
Looking back at history, a hundred years ago, China was in dire straits, with gunpowder everywhere and blood spilling everywhere.

That is to say, a hundred years ago, young people with great aspirations shouted: Study for the rise of China!
How long is 100 years?

It is thirty-six thousand five hundred and twenty five suns rising and moon setting, it is the appearance of a sapling growing into a towering tree, and it is the journey of blood and tears of countless martyrs!
In 100 years, the horses on the street can be turned into endless cars, the blue sky can be filled with 5000 years of blue sky, the moon can be captured in nine days, and turtles can be caught in five oceans!

And where did all these changes come from?

The enlightenment of the wisdom of the people is not achieved in a short period of time, and it is even more necessary to study!

Why do we read books?
Confucius taught us: Isn’t it true that when we learn, we practice it?
Learn the new by reviewing the past, you can be a teacher!
Sensitive and eager to learn, not ashamed to ask...

This is the teaching of the most holy teacher from 500 years ago.

The sons and daughters of China, inheriting a long and splendid culture of 5000 years, have gone through ups and downs step by step and come to the present day.

We have seen decay, so we are more eager to prosper;
We have suffered a lot, so we strive to be strong;
The teacher once said: If you fall behind, you will be beaten! "

Yi Ze's voice was full of affection, even slightly hoarse.

"One hundred years ago, Mr. Zhou said: Study for the rise of China!
Deafening!

A hundred years later, you and I are young people who are full of enthusiasm, and should not be outdone: study for the great rejuvenation of China! "

"I hope all Chinese youths will get rid of the air-conditioning and just move up, without having to listen to the words of those who give up on themselves. Those who can do things will do things, and those who can speak out will speak out. If you are hot, you will shine!

I believe that today’s young people in China are all torches lighting up the future! "

"I am Yi Ze, and I would like to turn into a kindling to ignite the light in your hearts!"

……

The theme of the second issue of "The Analects of Confucius" is reading, and it also revolves around the two aspects of thinking in "The Analects of Confucius" and reading. However, due to my own writing problems, the importance of reading as the cornerstone has not been fully highlighted, and I still feel very sorry, please forgive me.Thank you for your rewards. I haven’t forgotten the one-hundred-plus-one update I mentioned before. It’s just that I have to go to class, so I can only return it to you on weekends. Thank you for your support. Please correct any bad writing.
