Hogwarts 1991
Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Ron blurted out, "Are you really Harry Potter?"
Harry nodded.
Ron stared at Harry's forehead incredulously, "I thought George and Fred were kidding me?"
Harry brushed a lock of hair from his forehead, revealing a lightning-shaped scar.
Ron's eyes widened.
Huh-huh-huh-huh-
The MacGuffin immediately interrupted the conversation between the two.
After the two of them glanced at him, they immediately went on to talk about what they just talked about, "This is what the mysterious man did..."
"Yes. But I don't remember..." Harry was interrupted again just as he was about to continue.
The snoring was getting louder and louder, and it was also mixed with the grunt of McGuffin when he was uncomfortable.
"Is he all right?" Harry stopped talking and looked at McGuffin worriedly - he lay down and pressed his face tightly against the seat.
Harry thought the strange boy was a little out of breath
"Probably...all right?" Ron also had some doubts. He put McGuffin's black-rimmed glasses on the small table, and came to the side of McGuffin, trying to turn his body around.
But Ron didn't have much strength, and he almost fell the McGuffin to the ground.
When Harry saw this, he immediately helped. The two of them supported the head, and the other was responsible for the feet. It took a lot of effort to straighten McGuffin and let him sleep on his back.
Even with such a big turnaround, McGuffin still showed no sign of waking up.
It was only then that Harry noticed that the two thick dark circles on McGuffin's face were swollen, with bags hanging from the lower eyelids.
"This is? Pfft~haha..."
The two laughed out loud one after another. Although Ron had already seen it before, he still found this scene very funny amidst Harry's laughter.
Harry leaned on the seat, covered his stomach with laughter, and said to Ron intermittently, "He... haha... this... (Oops, stomach hurts.) What, it's... like..."
Ron didn't laugh so hard.
After a long time, the two stopped, and then began to chat.
"He's a very strange and interesting freshman, I'll introduce you when he wakes up," said Ron.
During the chat between the two, Ron introduced McGuffin. He mainly said that McGuffin had bought so many old books in the second-hand bookstore. Then he guessed, "Probably he stayed up all night to read all the books he bought. You can see that his eyes seem to have been punched twice. What happened?"
As he spoke, he chuckled again, still finding it funny.
"I guess McGuffin will definitely be assigned to Ravenclaw. After all, he loves reading so much, if I can't read a single word."
"Are all Ravenclaws people who love to read?" Harry asked curiously. He was eager to know what kind of school Hogwarts was, but Hagrid didn't give him any more information about the whole school.
"People say that Ravenclaws are smart people who love to learn. Of course, most students in other colleges also say that Ravenclaw wizards are self-righteous. I don't see it from McGuffin."
"Which house do you want to go to?" Harry asked again, secretly feeling that Ron was a bit disapproving of Ravenclaw.
"Of course Gryffindor, that's the best, everyone said that. Everyone in our family graduated from there, even the headmaster Dumbledore himself graduated from Gryffindor." Speaking of this topic, Ron seemed a little unhappy. "If I can't go to that college, I don't know what George Fred will say. Maybe it would be nice to stay in Ravenclaw with McGuffin."
Harry saw that Ron was a little frustrated, and he didn't know what to say to comfort him, because he didn't understand anything.
"Ah!—I don't want to...! Emily...don't...!"
Just as he was trying to divert Ron's attention, McGuffin let out a scream and babbled words, and he jerked up from the upper body, then fell heavily on the seat again with a loud 'bang'.
This startled the two of them, and they looked at McGuffin hesitantly.
Asleep again?
"This is—a nightmare? Do you want to wake him up?"
Harry asked Ron.
Ron looked at McGuffin, who was pale and sweating, but still sound asleep.
"Let's talk about it, wake him up if it happens again." Ron said hesitantly.
Harry nodded.
After such a fright, they began to chat quietly.
From the impression of the mysterious man 'Voldemort' to their respective lives, talking about Harry's annoying relatives--Muggle uncle and cousin Dudley, and Ron talking about his family, parents, sister--and of course his wonderful, funny brothers.
While the two were talking, the train had left London, speeding across fields and meadows. From time to time, cows and horses grazing and owls passing by the window can be seen from time to time.
Some people hit it off immediately and become friends in destiny.
Ron and Harry in the Iron Triangle were like that, even if there was a panda-eyed MacGuffin in the cubicle who interrupted their conversation from time to time by snoring.
In a short time they became good friends.
Soon after an hour.
At noon, there was noise in the train aisle.
After a while, the sliding door of the compartment was opened, and a smiling witch pushed the food cart to the door of the compartment.
"Honey, would you like some food for the train?"
The roots of Ron's ears turned red instantly, and he said softly that he was carrying a sandwich.
Harry hadn't spent any money at his uncle's house, and now that he had money in his pocket, he jumped up and got out of his seat, and bought a whole bunch of outlandish foods from the aisle: chocolate frogs, bibimbaps, pumpkin pie, and so on.
He couldn't wait to share it with his new and probably only best friend, Ron.
"Have a pie."
Ron introduced Harry to all kinds of magic food he bought: Bibi multi-flavored beans with strange flavors (grass, mint, pepper, sesame, nuts, fruit flavors), chocolate frogs that can jump out of the window, and cards that can move.
The two talked happily, forgetting about it, and the chatter gradually became louder.
McGuffin grunted twice, turned around, and fell asleep again on his side.
At this time, Ron realized that he had completely forgotten about the sleeping McGuffin opposite him. He asked Harry with an embarrassed face, and looked towards the McGuffin.
"Should we wake him, you say? Maybe he should eat something."
Harry looked at McGuffin's tired face, especially the heavy black bags under his eyes, and whispered, "I think what he needs more is sleep, so let's not wake him up. Save some food, so that he will be hungry when he wakes up."
"All right!"
Ron tore open the package and took out a cream cake with three different colors.
While eating, they looked at the scenery outside the window. The train had gone to nowhere, and the original countryside had turned into dark woods, swamps and hills, and time kept passing by.
The two were still chatting intermittently about topics of interest - their respective worlds, and Ron's pet fat mouse, Scabbers, who was about to come to Hogwarts.
During this period, a round-faced boy was crying and pulling the door to ask.
"Have you seen my pet toad?"
Ron and Harry hadn't met, and the boy went out crying, making a lot of noise.
