Chapter 665 Giant Beast
After getting in touch with it, Chen Zhengqian discovered that there are more Buddhist scriptures in Puji Temple than he imagined.

In the entire Sutra Pavilion, in addition to some rare cultivation secrets and notes of masters, other manuscripts of Buddhist scriptures are also scattered throughout the Sutra Pavilion, which is amazing.

Chen Zhengqian felt that one day might not be enough for him to see, so he told Venerable Shi Yin that he hoped to stay here for two more days.

Naturally, Monk Shiyin had no reason to refuse, and arranged for Chen Zhengqian to prepare a guest room and three meals a day, and he could rest in the monastery at night.

Naturally, Chen Zhengqian had no reason not to agree, it was much better to have a place to live than to sleep in the open, and the vegetarian food in the temple tasted pretty good.

In this way, Chen Zhengqian settled down in Puji Temple.

Many people think that Buddhism is more like a philosophy, but in fact there is a big difference between the two.

As for where the difference lies, after Chen Zhengqian thoroughly understands these Buddhist scriptures, he may have an answer.

Now, he only has some shallow and vague concepts in his heart, and his understanding of Buddhism can only be said to be half-knowledge and hearsay.

After the commoner monk learned that Chen Zhengqian was staying in Puji Temple, he came over curiously and looked at Chen Zhengqian sitting under the bookshelf with a smile, flipping through Buddhist scriptures.

For some reason, seeing Chen Zhengqian's appearance, the commoner monk felt that this person in front of him was more real than before.

Chen Zhengqian noticed his coming, raised his head and smiled, and ignored him.

The monk ignored him, and took a copy of the Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra to read.

The two of them were in such a tacit understanding that no one disturbed the other.

……

Under the linden tree in the evening, three cups of tea.

The commoner monk said that Chen Zhengqian had a predestined relationship with the Buddha and possessed the roots of wisdom.

Regarding this, Chen Zhengqian just smiled and said nothing.

Huigen and the like are simply too mysterious, and he is not very interested in Buddhism. He is afraid that the next sentence of the commoner monk will be to let him convert to Buddhism or something.

It is not his original wish to eat fast, chant Buddha's name, abstain from alcohol and sex. He cannot live the life of a monk, so he should just be an ordinary person.

For him, Buddhism is more like a tool, a weapon in his own hands, and that is enough.

Of course, this does not affect Chen Zhengqian, the commoner monk, and Foyin and others to sit and talk about Buddhism.

Looking at a fallen leaf falling in the sky, Chen Zhengqian was thoughtful.

He admits that he has been somewhat influenced by the thoughts in the Buddhist scriptures, but fortunately not too much, and more is a good thing.

For example, Chen Zhengqian asked a question: "What is a Buddha?"

It seems simple, but everyone will have a different answer in their hearts.

If you stick to the literal explanation, then it is natural to explain that the Buddha is a sage, a person with three senses, possessing great wisdom, understanding things, transcending life and death, and being a Dzogchen.

The commoner monk chuckled, and his explanation was: "With the Buddha in the heart, all living beings can become Buddhas."

Just this sentence.

Chen Zhengqian seems to have realized something.

All human beings have desires, this is human nature, and it is these secular desires that drive us to seek wealth, beauty, love and so on.

Buddha represents the good side of all things, which is what we are always looking for.

So the Buddha is in the heart.

The Buddha has already seen through all this, and without any worries, he can naturally attain the Tao.

However, the reason why ordinary people are laymen is that they cannot get rid of these desires, and are troubled by these desires, and even put on shackles.

If you can completely get rid of worldly desires, you will naturally become a Buddha.

This is why he said that "all living beings can become Buddhas".

An eminent monk once said: There are only two types of people who can reach the Pure Land. One is blessed with extraordinary blessings, and the other is selfless and without desires.

Those who have extraordinary blessings will have a smooth life without having to think about various things, and they will naturally be able to prove the Buddhahood, such as Sakyamuni.

Those who are selfless and desireless are also born saints, and they must be anonymous, because they have no desires and desires.

Therefore, Buddha crosses people, and people cross themselves. Buddha is human, and human is also Buddha!

Monk Foyin said with emotion: "If General Chen is in Buddhism, he will surely become a wise man of great wisdom in the new era."

In Buddhism, the Venerable refers to a person with great wisdom and noble character, which is already a very high achievement.

Chen Zhengqian waved his hands, smiled and said nothing.

Becoming a Buddha was never what he pursued.

……

During these few days in Puji Temple, Chen Zhengqian seemed to be living an isolated life.

Every day I am either in the Sutra Pavilion or on the way to the Sutra Pavilion. It seems like I am back to the days when I was preparing for the final exam in school and running to the library all day long.

Except for a few people such as Shi Yin, the people in Puji Temple didn't even realize that there was such a person in the temple. Many disciples are just doing their own things.

This is exactly in line with Chen Zhengqian's wishes, the less people know about it, the better.

After spending two and a half days, he finally finished reading all the books he was interested in in the Sutra Pavilion. As for how much he could digest, Chen Zhengqian was not sure.

Take your time, I'm not in a hurry anyway.

Many people have different interpretations of Buddhist things. It is very difficult to understand these ideas thoroughly, and there is no way to worry.

Chen Zhengqian was ready to leave in the evening and did not plan to stay overnight.

Just thinking that he hadn't visited the entire Puji Temple that day, Chen Zhengqian had a whim, and started to wander around by himself again.

The wandering mentioned here is naturally the backyard part.

The front yard is for tourists to see, which is not interesting. However, there are many interesting places in the backyard.

For example, that big stone is engraved with more than 300 large and small "Buddha" characters. If you guess correctly, they should be drawn by those eminent monks with their fingers.

Those who can leave marks on it with their fingers can imagine what kind of expert they are.

Of course Chen Zhengqian can do it, but he is not a Buddhist, so it is difficult to do such a thing without permission. Otherwise, what is the difference between writing "I visited here" in a scenic spot?
In addition, there is a ten-meter-wide pool on the back mountain. The water in the pool is clear. It is estimated that a lot of water in the temple is taken from here. Just looking inside, there is a feeling of bottomlessness.

What surprised Chen Zhengqian was that he seemed to feel some unusual aura.

If I guessed correctly, this should be a spiritual spring.

The so-called spiritual spring is located just near the earth's spiritual veins. The pond water contains traces of spiritual energy seeping out from under the spiritual veins, thus forming the spiritual spring.

This Puji Temple is really blessed with such a spiritual spring, which is definitely the best spring water for making tea.

Long-term consumption of this spiritual spring will gradually change the body's physique. It is no wonder that Puji Temple can become the leader of Buddhism.

However, just when Chen Zhengqian withdrew his gaze and was about to leave, the spring water suddenly started rolling, as if something was emerging from below.

Chen Zhengqian's eyes were fixed, and he noticed an unusual aura, and he was immediately alert.

With a "crash", the spring water overflowed, and a huge figure emerged from the water.

Chen Zhengqian stared blankly at the monster that appeared in front of him. Its body was as big as a hill, almost filling up the spiritual well. It had dark wrinkled skin, a huge head, and a thick tortoise shell on its back.

This is a giant turtle!
The giant tortoise came up from under the Lingquan, part of its body surfaced, tilted its head, and stared straight at Chen Zhengqian.

Damn, this guy has already become a genius, right?

Chen Zhengqian was stunned.

With such a big body, even the "Turtle Prime Minister" at home doesn't have it.

As the saying goes, a thousand-year-old king has an 8-year-old tortoise. This giant tortoise must be hundreds of thousands of years old, right?
Wait, it was agreed that after the founding of the People's Republic of China, you can't become a master? !

Thanks to the "Hell King" classmate for the reward, thank you for your support, thank you all for your recommendation votes, 10 will be given soon.
