Marvel's Last Angel

Chapter 27 Amnesia

Chapter 27 Amnesia
"Whoa, whoa, whoa..."

Severe panting sounded in the darkness. Although the person hiding in the darkness tried his best to suppress the sound, he ran for too long.

"Step, step, step..."

Footsteps sounded in the distance. He knew that two enemies were approaching. This is the last way out.The people in the dark observed the surrounding environment, but found that this was a dead end.

"Am I going to die here?" He felt a little hopeless and unwilling.

"Doctor, I know you're inside, come out! You can't escape." The footsteps suddenly stopped not far away, and then a deep voice came.

The man in the dark sighed softly, and he made up his mind that even if he died, he would not fall into their hands. He rose from the darkness and faced the enemy.

"Doctor, come back with us, the officer will forgive you." The leading man in black said.

"No, I won't go back, I will never be Schmidt's accomplice." He slowly raised the gun and pointed it at his temple.

Suddenly, he was surprised to find that the space above the man in black fluctuated, and then a green light shone down. The other party disappeared without even making a scream.

"Boom..." A white figure fell out from the center of the light.

"Uh....."

"you're awake....."

Xi slowly opened her eyes and looked around, when a steady voice sounded in her ear.

This is a dilapidated and secluded hut, the dim lights barely allow Xi to see the other party's face clearly.

"Who are you..." Xi shook her head. She was a little dizzy and felt that something was wrong with herself.

"I'm Abraham Erskine, you can call me Erskine, how about you?" Erskine introduced himself calmly.

"Abraham Erskine?" Xi was puzzled, then shook her head lightly, trying to remember something.

"I...? My name is... Xi? It should be this name." Xi replied uncertainly.

"Should...? Where do you live? Is there anyone else in the family?" Erskine looked a little unnatural, trying to get a deeper understanding of the mysterious girl's information.

"I started from... Uh, I can't remember, my head hurts!" Xi moaned in pain, trying to recall some information.

"Okay, okay, let's stop thinking about it, it's okay, let's drink some water." Erskine comforted Xi when he saw the pain.

Xi gradually calmed down, she only vaguely remembered her own name. But more can't remember at all.Including where are you from, why are you here, where is your home, who are your parents.

"I'm sorry, Erskine...to trouble you." Xi took a few sips of warm water and said apologetically. She could feel that the other party was not malicious.

"Haha, it doesn't matter. Now the war is raging here, and many people are homeless. It is fate that we met. We will be friends in the future, and we will support each other." Erskine replied indifferently.

"Thank you..." Xi looked at the bearded man, who was really strange. What he didn't know was that the Eye of the Gods was operating unconsciously.

"You should be hungry. I'll get you some bread." Erskine pushed Xi back on the bed and covered her with the quilt. "I'll be back in a minute."

Been here for two days.

Xi looked at the bustling crowd outside the door, expressionless. She still couldn't remember anything.Everything here is so strange, pedestrians on the road are wary of each other. From time to time there was the sound of gunfire in the distance.

Erskine made a simple black robe for Xi, which looked crooked from unskilled work. The wide robe covered Xi's figure and at the same time covered her stunning appearance, saving her a lot of trouble.

Xi looked at an ordinary book on the table.Erskine told her that the book was in her arms when he met her.But it was blank, without any text or information.

"Boom, boom"

The door was opened and closed hastily.Xi turned to look at the panting Erskine.

"Unfortunately, pack up, we have to go," Erskine said as he quickly stuffed the clothes into the box.Xi naturally picked up the book on the corner of the table and held it in her arms.Waiting for Erskine to pack up.This situation has played out many times in the past two days, and a tacit understanding has been reached between the two.

It's just that Erskine's actions were a little flustered this time.Xi frowned slightly.

Erskine avoided the crowd and quickly left the hotel with his head bowed.

Suddenly Erskine's face changed drastically, his movements stopped abruptly, and he stood in a daze, the box in his hand fell to the ground.Xi, who was following behind, looked forward suspiciously.

"Boom..."

The sky suddenly thundered, and then the torrential rain came down quickly.

"Doctor, long time no see. Where are you going? I still need your help with many questions!" said a man in military uniform standing in front of him.

"Schmidt, we have nothing to talk about, and I can't answer your question." Erskine was a little embarrassed by the heavy rain, and although his voice was trembling, he was extremely firm.

"Oh, you really have no vision. You will never know what kind of world I am going to create, a world of great order." Schmidt spoke frantically, with a frenzied expression. Then the tone became gloomy.

"Erskine, now, I give you two options, either, you and your friends behind you die, or, return to the embrace of Hydra."

Seeing that Erskine did not answer for a long time, Schmidt forced

"Ten seconds, 10, 9, 8,..." Schmidt counted down impatiently.

As he counted down, the surrounding soldiers slowly raised their guns, aiming at Xi and Erskine, ready to shoot at any time.

"3,..."

Erskine looked at Schmidt fixedly, and he couldn't afford to be troubled. The hands in the sleeves clenched and loosened.

"2..."

"Wait a minute..." Erskine interrupted Schmidt's timing.

"I look forward to your..."

Suddenly, a black figure appeared in front of Schmidt's eyes, interrupting his words, followed by a sharp pain in his neck, and one hand pressed him tightly to the ground, unable to move.

Schmidt was startled, he felt suffocated for a while. He looked at the black shadow in front of him in a panic. It was the man in the black robe standing behind Erskine.

A terrifying killing intent permeated the air, and the soldiers with guns backed away in fear.Schmidt, who was targeted by the killing intent, felt the approach of death.

"I only give you one choice, let's leave..."

There was a cold voice in my ear.Schmidt felt the hands on his neck tighten slowly. He struggled hastily. . . . .

"Okay..." A voice of fear and unwillingness squeezed out of his throat.

"Cough cough cough..."

Schmidt felt the hand on his throat disappear, the terrifying killing intent receded like a tide, and the black shadow in front of him disappeared. While struggling to get up, he coughed violently and took a big breath of air.He focused his attention on the short figure standing behind Erskine, who seemed to have not moved, but the more so, the less he dared to make unnecessary small movements.

Schmidt knew very well that if the opponent killed himself once, he could kill him a second time.

"Let's go..." Xi glanced at the other party, and in Erskine's astonished eyes, turned and left by the corner of his clothes.

Erskine hurriedly picked up the box on the ground, followed Xi and disappeared into the corner of the street.

Schmidt, who was standing there, stroked his neck with aggrieved expression, but he didn't dare to give the order to chase.
