American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#19 - The demons will not disappear.

The two moved swiftly, one in front of the other, reaching the designated location in less than three minutes.

While the plan was successfully executed, the atmosphere at DEO headquarters was heavy.

This was because the operating signal of Red Tornado was constantly weakening. The continuous barrage of attacks had damaged its internal components, and losing control was only a matter of time.

General Sam stood beside them with a dark face, silent, while the doctor was drenched in cold sweat, typing furiously on the keyboard.

Even with his efforts, the technicians nearby could see that he was only making a last-ditch attempt to salvage the situation.

The accumulation of logical errors had reached an unmanageable level. Hundreds, even thousands, of errors appeared every second, while the doctor could only handle five to ten.

Once the number of errors exceeded the system's capacity, Red Tornado would automatically reboot, rendering all commands ineffective.

As expected, with a frustrated shout from the doctor, a huge error tag appeared on the large screen.

Then, the first-person view was cut off.

The technicians quickly switched to military satellite surveillance footage. Only then did everyone see Red Tornado and the Great Demon King fighting again.

Freed from the constraints of remote control, Red Tornado's combat power rose sharply.

Its own on-board computer could collect nearby data at an extremely high speed, then provide the best response plan.

Even with one arm lost, the no-longer-stiff Red Tornado withstood the Great Demon King's attacks.

Gradually, they began to exchange blows.

The self-recovery code was activated, the scars on its body quickly healed, its ability to control the wind gradually strengthened, and even its flying speed increased little by little.

The Great Demon King felt like the thing in front of him was rapidly increasing its combat power.

At this point, the Great Demon King no longer had the mind to explore and only wanted to destroy this thing as soon as possible.

After a few rounds of back and forth, the Great Demon King suddenly unleashed a shockwave that directly pierced through Red Tornado's body.

Red Tornado paused for a moment, then charged forward again as if nothing had happened, spewing out a gust of wind that impacted the Great Demon King.

At the same time, some of the wounds on its body rapidly healed.

Only the severed arm remained in its original state.

"You are quite good, worthy of my full strength."

The Great Demon King said arrogantly, and suddenly burst out with all his energy, throwing out a final, sharp Qi Yuan Slash.

Red Tornado remained silent, dodging quickly.

The Qi Yuan Slash drew an arc, cutting towards the mountain behind it. Half of the mountain was instantly cut off, the cut smooth and seamless.

The severed mountaintop rumbled and slid down, the ground trembling.

Inside DEO headquarters, everyone's eyes almost popped out.

General Sam roared, "We can't wait any longer! Immediately initiate the final plan!"

"But we can't control it now, General!"

"Then find an opportunity."

General Sam grabbed the doctor by the collar, his face grim, and whispered, "Listen, that green monster is affecting the national security of the United States. We need to eliminate him, do you understand? At all costs."

The doctor was startled by the general's expression and nodded repeatedly.

General Sam released him and shouted, "Mobilize all satellites! I want to know everything about the situation on the ground. Red Tornado is carrying 50 kilograms of concentrated nuclear explosives. As long as we detonate it at close range, we can blow that green monster to pieces. This is our only chance now. No mistakes allowed, do you understand?"

"Yes, General."

Everyone responded loudly and quickly got busy.

The doctor held the computer, nervously observing Red Tornado's movement patterns, constantly calculating the most suitable time to detonate.

Suddenly, Red Tornado ejected its hand, and the Great Demon King couldn't dodge in time. His arm was struck with a large hole, leaving only a little flesh connecting it to his shoulder, and blood flowed freely.

However, the Great Demon King didn't care at all, and even showed a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth, making a posture for a charged burst.

Then, a new arm suddenly rushed out from the severed shoulder.

The arm was covered with mucus and was slightly lighter in color, obviously newly grown.

General Sam stared, clenching his fists fiercely, wishing he could smash the screen in front of him to pieces.

After taking a few rapid breaths, he shouted, "Alright, we now know that this green monster has a strong regenerative ability. It doesn't matter, we still have a chance."

At this moment, Red Tornado spat out a storm, but the Great Demon King flashed behind him, grabbing his head with his newly grown arm.

His other hand formed a knife with his fingers, ready to chop.

The doctor suddenly shouted, "Now!"

Immediately, an operator slammed down hard on the red button.

In the picture, Red Tornado exploded, and the screen instantly turned white.

Everyone felt a slight tremor on the ground. The screen switched to satellite surveillance footage, showing a mushroom cloud slowly rising.

The hall was filled with tense breathing. No one spoke, each person staring wide-eyed, clenching their fists, waiting for the result.

They prayed, they yearned.

Three minutes passed quietly. Just as everyone showed a hint of joy and prepared to cheer loudly.

That familiar green figure reappeared on the screen.

Silence!

The hall was as silent as death.

Could it be that the Great Demon King was truly invincible?

Alex suddenly called out, "Move the screen down!"

A technician immediately moved the screen down.

On the screen, the Great Demon King only had half of his body left, as if he had been cut in half from his left shoulder to his right waist.

At this time, green blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, his face distorted with pain, and his sharp, pointed fingernails pinched half of Red Tornado's head.

Large patches of blood flowed from his lower body, paving a path of blood on the ground.

It looked extremely miserable.

However, even so, it could not be denied that the Great Demon King had survived the nuclear explosion.

Thinking of this, the agents almost despaired.

On the other side, the Great Demon King was also deeply surprised.

He didn't expect that the thing in front of him would be so unyielding, willing to self-destruct to perish together with him.

He saw that half of the head was picked up, then placed neatly on the ground.

"You are a true warrior, worthy of respect. But unfortunately, you will not be able to see my world."

The wound in his abdomen contracted, actually healing little by little.

The Namekian's vitality was extremely strong. As long as the heart was not injured, any part could regenerate.

But the Qi consumed was also enormous.

The Great Demon King floated in the air, slowly approaching the city.

The most stubborn resistance had been eliminated by him. This was his time of victory.

Even though he was seriously injured, he would obtain the glory that belonged to him.

Just then, a red cloak streaked across the sky, slowly landing in front of the Great Demon King.

DEO headquarters erupted in cheers, shouting, "Superman! It's Superman!"

Superman put his hands on his hips and said, "Surrender, and you will be treated as a prisoner of war."

The Great Demon King's face darkened.

He gritted his teeth and said angrily, "So there was one hiding at the end."

"Not hiding, just finished dealing with the volcanic eruption and rushed over in a hurry. I heard about you from a friend, surrender, Great Demon King, your injuries are very serious!" Superman shook his head and said sincerely.

"Don't even think about it. Piccolo the Great Demon King is the only king in the world. As a king, one can only die standing, not live kneeling."

The Great Demon King suddenly made a charging gesture.

Superman tensed up, ready to respond to a sudden attack at any time.

He had already learned about the Great Demon King's abilities and knew that he possessed a strange energy that could harm Kryptonians.

Naturally, he had to be extra careful.

After a silent confrontation for more than ten seconds, the Great Demon King suddenly opened his eyes, his neck suddenly thickened, his head turned a strange 180 degrees, and an egg with a distinctly different color shot into the sky like a rocket, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

The Great Demon King laughed shrilly, "Go, my son, you have inherited all my wisdom and power. You must fulfill the dream of ruling the world and never let evil disappear!"

Superman was shocked and hurried to catch up.

The Great Demon King's arm suddenly lengthened, grabbing Superman's leg. He laughed wildly, "Humans, don't be too happy too soon. Don't think that the Demon race will disappear. In less than ten years, when my son grows up, you will once again remember the terror of the Great Demon King!!!"

Boom!

As soon as he finished speaking, the Great Demon King suddenly self-destructed.

The huge explosion sent Superman flying, embedding him heavily in the ground.

After a while, the smoke cleared, Superman slowly ascended, looked around with his X-ray vision, and left with a solemn expression.

At DEO headquarters, the cheers almost lifted the roof.

It was not easy.

The loss of combat power alone was terrifying.

Supergirl exhausted her energy, and five of the six Kryptonian soldiers died instantly.

A robot worth billions of dollars was destroyed.

The city was in chaos, and the port area was destroyed.

Half of the city needed to be rebuilt.

In addition, two full-strength DEO assault teams were killed in action.

It was more than just a costly price to pay.

Moreover, if Superman hadn't appeared at the end.

If the Great Demon King had time to recover, the consequences would have been even more unimaginable.

At this time, Superman suddenly flew in from outside, and everyone gathered around, applauding vigorously with smiling faces.

Superman waved his hand, greeting everyone.

Then he turned to Alex and said, "Where's John?"

"He was just here, what happened?"

Just as he was saying this, Director John walked in from outside and said, "What's wrong?"

Superman's face was solemn: "The egg that the Great Demon King spat out at the end is the offspring that combines all his power and wisdom, we must find him!"
