American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#104 - Sit back and wait, bicker

"More like, we're about to have trouble ourselves," Luke replied, surprising Tony Stark.

"What do you mean? How are we going to have trouble?" Tony blinked, struggling to keep up with Luke's train of thought.

"Why do you think those agents were attacked?" Luke countered.

"You mean those mysterious bones?" Tony immediately grasped Luke's point.

"Yeah, I think that's the most likely reason. Although I don't know the specifics, whatever happened must be more than just the deaths of a few agents to make Nick so furious," Luke analyzed.

"He lost something important to him. Those mysterious bones," Tony realized, his eyes involuntarily darting towards the mysterious bones placed on the laboratory equipment. "So, you think they might have extracted information from S.H.I.E.L.D., or they have some way of locating these bones?"

"Better safe than sorry," Luke affirmed Tony's conjecture.

"So, if we're right, we'll be attacked soon?" Tony said, immediately restless. "I need my Iron Man suit."

While Tony summoned Jarvis to bring his Iron Man suit, Luke instructed White Queen to ensure the safety of the researchers and company executives.

Call the police?

Luke didn't consider it this time. If the enemy was who he suspected, calling the police would only increase casualties and create chaos. The real defense depended on Hebo Lab's security team.

Luke headed towards the Symbiote lab, while Tony, having obtained lab access for his Mark suit, curiously followed.

"Enemies?" Venom sounded excited, having heard the lab's security measures activate. It darted back and forth in its container, looking like a blob of black mud jumping around.

"Yeah, there might be some intruders," Luke said, opening the containers of Little Hubble and Mister, releasing the two little guys.

"Let me! Let me! I'll bite off their heads one by one!" Venom slammed even harder. Luke slightly opened the container, and Venom eagerly squeezed out like a liquid, sliding through the gap. "It's been so long since I've eaten brains. I miss the taste."

"My God, what is that thing?" Tony, who had followed behind, saw the talking black liquid in the Symbiote lab, his eyes filled with curiosity. "Is that some kind of biotechnology product? Is it intelligent? How did you give it life and intelligence?"

"No, it's an alien creature. I obtained it from elsewhere for research," Luke denied Tony's guess, stating the truth.

"Alien creature?" Tony's curiosity deepened. People like them tend to have similar inclinations. Seeing such an alien creature makes it hard not to study it and see how it differs from the lifeforms on their own planet.

"That person's brain is so sweet! I have a strong feeling that his brain is delicious. Can I eat his brain?" Venom stopped, revealing half of its body. The liquid formed a large face in the air, staring straight at Tony, with black, saliva-like liquid dripping from the corners of its mouth. It sensed a sweet food aura from Stark, whose brain emitted a captivating aroma.

"Eat brains? What kind of strange hobby is that? Do you know how valuable my brain is? It's a treasure of humanity! You want to eat it? That's blasphemy!" Tony calculated the arrival time of his Iron Man suit, mocking Venom.

"What's the difference? It's all food. Of course, I know the difference between one satisfying meal and continuous satisfaction. A delicious brain like yours can't be swallowed in one gulp. That lacks ritual," Venom retorted sharply. "But I can taste your emotions first, an appetizer before the main course."

"A low-level creature driven by appetite, don't you have any higher pursuits?" Tony waved his arms, looking at Venom with the pitying gaze one reserves for an idiot. He had never feared or lost a battle of wits.

"I like being free," Venom said.

"So you're currently confined in Luke's lab," Tony mocked.

"I can leave whenever I want! Don't think I'm stupid! I have a whole set of rich escape experience! Just give me a chance," Venom cracked its large mouth, and black, starry liquid sprayed like saliva, roaring.

"So you admit you're being confined?" Tony seized the key point.

"Luke and I have a cooperative relationship! A cooperative relationship! Do you understand?" Venom was a little exasperated.

"A cooperative relationship of confinement. I understand. Maybe Luke doesn't want to hurt your feelings, but I don't mind telling you the cruel truth, your treatment is that of a prisoner," Tony shrugged.

"You don't understand! Luke has a lot of good food here," Venom said, eagerly leaning forward, losing control of its body. The entire body fell from the table holding the glass container like a blob of black mud with a 'plop'. It didn't care at all, and its head popped out of the liquid again, using the special voice device Luke made for it to argue and declare.

"Looks like I don't have much in common with an alien foodie. I originally had a lot of questions I wanted to ask," Tony temporarily lost interest in communicating with Venom.

"Work hard, and I'll give you extra food when you're done," Luke's words immediately attracted Venom's attention. It didn't bother arguing with Tony anymore, stretched its head high, supported by a bunch of thread-like black liquid. The whole appearance looked particularly terrifying, but at this moment, Venom was seriously making its request to Luke: "I want to eat some soul crystals, not powder! It would be even better if I could choose the flavor."

"See how you perform," Luke gave an ambiguous answer. But Venom, after hearing this, was like a chicken injected with adrenaline, jumping up and down on the ground like a blob of slime with an accelerator, pouncing directly towards Tony with an amazing bouncing force.

"Smart guy, let me use your body!"

Amidst Tony's screams of dodging, Venom laughed strangely and began a brutal face-hugging fusion with Tony.
