American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker
#121 - Emotional Liquid
More than three hours later.
The device suddenly lit up with a green light.
Luke, who received the message, was overjoyed and hurried over from another laboratory. He leaned closer to the device and saw a small, pearly white droplet, with wisps of red inside, lying quietly at the bottom of the device. However, Luke knew that this was not a liquid or anything else in the common sense, but a pure energy crystal. Or rather, it hadn't reached the crystalline state yet, merely liquefied. And the energy detection on the device undoubtedly declared that it was a liquefied form of a peculiar energy.
Luke reached out, his skin tinged with a layer of black, and a long black needle extended from his fingertip.
The needle gently pierced the energy liquid inside the device, and a very peculiar feeling surged into Luke's heart.
Anger?
Fear?
Hatred?
All sorts of negative emotions assaulted Luke's mind, trying to assimilate his emotions. Luke could feel the power contained within this liquid, but under the impact of this negative emotion, it was difficult to perfectly control it, understand it, familiarize himself with it, and use it. Luke was able to suppress and control the negative emotions, although under the influence of the sudden surge of negative emotions, he had an impulse to destroy everything in front of him. And the power that surged into his body along with the negative emotions seemed to prove to him that he could use it to do so. Or rather, it was precisely because Luke controlled his emotions that he found it difficult to truly resonate with this power and gain its recognition.
The black needle retracted, severing contact with the energy liquid.
Luke shook his head. The impact of the negative emotions just now also seemed to be without roots, dissipating with it. He looked at the energy liquid inside the device, and it seemed that its volume and energy reaction had been reduced and collapsed accordingly.
The vampires who were bound around, acting as emotional energy providers, were somewhat dazed and looked at each other in the dark, not understanding what was happening.
Luke ignored the vampires' private psychological reactions. He only knew that the experiment was indeed successful, just as he had intuitively felt beforehand.
Of course, if strictly according to the original planned standards, this experiment could not be said to be completely successful. It could only prove that emotions, feelings, and the mind can indeed be collected and gathered to become some kind of energy, although this energy has various side effects. For example, if negative emotional energy is used for a long time and one experiences the erosion of negative emotions, will a person's spirit be stable?
Being affected is inevitable, but whether it can be controlled by the user's willpower is an unknown.
So, if you want people to safely use this energy, you may have to add a filter to filter out and weaken the erosive characteristics of this negative emotion. It remains to be considered whether this energy can maintain its original energy characteristics and power after filtering? This is another extended research plan.
But in any case, the most difficult first step has been taken, and it has also been proven that the follow-up is only a matter of time for Luke.
Emotional/Mental Primordial Liquid.
This is the name Luke gave to this energy.
The experiment has stepped into the threshold of success, but there are still many further studies waiting for Luke. For example, a filter device? The characteristics of positive emotions after negative emotions. Are the characteristics of various emotional energy primordial liquids the same, or are there differences? Separation technology for separating and mixing emotional primordial liquids to make them have a single interest; can the mental fluctuations of ordinary people reach the minimum line for instrument capture and collection? Prototype upgrades, etc.
After these are completed, it is also necessary to consider the application direction of these energies and other issues.
However, based on the feeling of first contact with this new energy, it is even more magical, and even gives Luke a feeling of omnipotence. This is of course an illusion. In many cases, when the physical condition is particularly good, or when one has some kind of magical power, people tend to have this feeling. But most of the time, this feeling is really just a feeling. It may help you do things you couldn't do before, but it can't really make you omnipotent.
...
The employees of Heberon found that the places where they worked, as well as many places in the company for relaxation and leisure, were filled with metal crafts that looked like tree stumps. Their reaction to this was that, except for a few people who were interested in asking a few more questions, the others just glanced curiously and quickly threw it to the back of their minds.
But this does not include Miss Gwen Stacy, the quiet host.
"What's wrong?" Gwen had just stepped into the gate of the Heberon Industrial Park when she keenly felt the agitation of the quiet one in her body, and at the same time, a strong sense of hunger was shared with her by the quiet one who shared her physical senses. She couldn't help but swallow, even though she had just eaten before coming, she felt her body frantically sending her signals that she needed to eat.
Gwen quickly took out Quiet's food box from her pocket and sprayed it on the exposed skin of her arm. This was her experience in feeding Quiet during this period. However, the experience that had been immediately effective in the past was somewhat ineffective today. The hunger did decrease a lot, and the urge to eat could be controlled by willpower, but it did not dissipate and was still stubbornly reminding Gwen: I'm hungry!
"What's wrong?" Peter Parker, who was next to her, noticed his girlfriend's abnormality and quickly asked with concern.
"It's Quiet," Gwen replied, and had no choice but to quietly come to a corner, summoned Quiet from her body, and fed Quiet all the remaining phenethylamine preparation in the food box.
"I want a change of taste," Quiet complained to Gwen dissatisfiedly while gobbling up all the food in her stomach without any politeness. As for Spider-Man? After seeing Quiet appear, he automatically moved away and stood in the distance within sight, watching his girlfriend.
"You've changed a lot of tastes during this time! Being picky is not a good habit!" Gwen pointed out unceremoniously.
"If there is something better, why should I eat something worse?" Quiet retorted upon hearing this.
"But this is your favorite food! You're tired of my dopamine again," Gwen frowned.
"I smell it, the air is filled with the sweet fragrance of food! It's the same level as soul spar! The ingredients are more advanced! It's here! It's not far from us!" Quiet sniffed the air, looking intoxicated. Before Gwen could speak again, she nimbly darted back into Gwen's body, and then, with Gwen looking flustered, forcibly controlled Gwen's body and headed towards a short, tree-stump-shaped metal craft in the center of the lobby.
"It's here, the food inside is tempting me," Quiet said to her host, looking at the tree-stump metal craft with a lid, unable to see the inside.
