American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#173 - Completed, Odin, Collective

Everything was proceeding according to plan.

Under Nick's arrangement, Captain was on tour and giving speeches, while Ena and Potts took over Stark and Luke's authorization to help the Captain build popularity and gather connections. As for Tony and Luke, they were each immersed in their own laboratories, working to the bone.

The difference was that Luke was working to the bone on the data dimension, while Stark and Banner were working to the bone on the intelligent management system.

The emergence of the Inhumans also brought a new round of shocks to the world. However, under the effect of stabilizers, the situation was still barely under control. As a major disaster area for Inhumans, the metropolis had the backing of giants such as Hephaestus, and the Captain's popularity was frighteningly high. With Nick and their operations, if nothing unexpected happened, the Captain would soon be able to take office and achieve final victory.

The even better news was that the main body of Luke's Dark City core energy chamber was finally ready for handover.

It was a huge sphere with a diameter of about one kilometer, like a combination of machinery and flesh. Under the metal surface, there were winding and dense dark red raised lines like human blood vessels, and touching it gave a tactile sensation of both the coldness of machinery and the warmth of flesh.

"It could have been earlier, but you changed the design!" Looking at Luke standing next to the Ancient One, the exhausted-looking mage Wang couldn't help but complain.

"This is the first time I've seen this big guy." Stephen Strange, draped in a red cloak, also looked at the behemoth in amazement. He had always known that the mages were making something big for Luke, but he didn't expect that just a part of it would be so big. Thinking about the various dimensional materials used, he felt even more amazed.

Because of the materials, even the Sorcerer Supreme couldn't create a second one of these things.

"You look pretty energetic." Luke glanced at Stephen, who had walked out of the portal, and sensitively noticed the overall change in him. Seeing the wounds still remaining on Stephen's face, he could imagine that he had just experienced a fierce battle.

"If you're referring to struggling on the line of death to familiarize myself with my abilities, then I do look pretty energetic." Stephen smiled, but the movement pulled at the muscles around the wound on his face, turning his smile into a wry one.

"If you've checked and there are no problems, we're preparing to send it to the main body of the Dark City as soon as possible and install it." Mage Wang looked at Luke with a probing gaze.

"No problem." After Luke finished speaking, a blue wormhole suddenly opened behind him, and a dense swarm of metal worker bees, carrying their small hammers, poured out of the wormhole, turning into a cloud of bees and pouncing on the core energy chamber.

"I feel the fluctuation of space." Mage Wang looked in surprise at the blue wormhole that opened behind Luke.

"Just another application of Asgard's Rainbow Bridge teleportation technology." Luke didn't take it seriously. Asgard's Rainbow Bridge could not only be used to transport people and materials, but also become a terrifying planet-destroying weapon after increasing its energy. Of course, Luke wouldn't create a Rainbow Bridge of Asgard's level now, but creating a wormhole-like Rainbow Bridge technology similar to Dr. Selvig's, which only has short-range teleportation capabilities for one or two uses, was still no problem.

Although the energy consumption was also considerable.

Once the Dark City is completely completed and handed over in the future, Luke will be able to establish a certain connection between it and the data dimension, and use the data dimension as a transfer station and storage.

"You need to prepare as soon as possible. If the core energy chamber goes well, then the follow-up plan will have to be launched ahead of schedule." The Ancient One didn't look at the cloud of bees crawling on the surface of the core energy chamber, but turned her head to remind Luke. Odin was so attentive, sending both teleportation bridge technology and dispatching two dwarven master craftsmen to help, not just to let Luke solve a hidden danger in Asgard. He wanted to confirm whether the effectiveness of this cooperation model could reach what the Ancient One said.

"The sealing pillars are ready. As for the effect, the fact that it can seal the energy of the Tesseract is enough to explain everything. And that's just the initial verification version of the technology. As for me personally, I do need to do some preparation." Luke nodded, indicating that he understood the Ancient One's meaning.

This cooperation model was determined after Luke and the Ancient One discussed it many times, so he naturally wouldn't want to see any accidents happen in the middle, which would lead to a deviation from the purpose of the cooperation. Therefore, without the Ancient One's reminder, he would also take this matter to heart and carefully make a lot of preparations.

This was related to how much his energy supply source could accumulate in the future!

A few hours later, the test went smoothly.

This result made Luke and the mages, including Mage Wang, breathe a sigh of relief.

"Then our next step is to send it into the main body of the Dark City?" Mage Wang turned his face to look at Luke and asked tentatively.

"Yes." With everything going smoothly, Luke naturally had no reason to refuse.

"Set a time, and then I'll take you to see Odin." The Ancient One opened a portal behind Luke and said before Luke stepped in.

"Three days later, I'll prepare." Luke thought for a while and gave a time. After seeing that the Ancient One and Wang had no problems, he stepped into the portal opened by the Ancient One and returned to Hephaestus.

He really needed time to prepare. Not only his equipment, but also to notify some people and tell them the news that he was about to go on a long trip. After all, he didn't know how long he would be out this time, maybe just a day or two, maybe ten and a half months, or even longer. With everyone busy now, and him being equally important in the new stage, he certainly needed to inform them of his whereabouts in advance to avoid accidents.

In addition to his family members such as Ena, Nick was the first to be notified.

"So, you're finally going to meet that Asgardian God King?" Nick was a little sighing. Luke had reached this point, but the S.H.I.E.L.D. he led could only be regarded as half outsiders. The Asgardians obviously classified him and his S.H.I.E.L.D. as affiliated organizations of Hephaestus and the Sorcerer Supreme.

But soon, Nick regained his composure and said to Luke on the other end of the phone: "I'll notify the Captain and the others. Now everything is waiting for a conclusion."

After hanging up the phone, Luke sorted out his equipment again. He might need to fight this time, after all, the premise of sealing was to release that collection of hatred first. Although there were two powerful figures, the Ancient One and Odin, beside him, it was hard to say whether there would be any accidents in the middle.

Under the intense preparations, three days passed in a flash. Luke saw the Ancient One in yellow robes again in the land of wind and snow.

"How are we going?" Luke had some guesses in his mind, but he still asked.

"Are you ready?" The Ancient One didn't answer Luke's question, but asked instead.

"Of course." Luke nodded.

"That's good." As the Ancient One said this, she raised her head. Luke seemed to sense something and also raised his head to look. He only saw a beam of light, full of flowing colors, descending from the sky, enveloping him and the Ancient One. All around were energy light and shadows full of flowing colors, and Luke could feel his body flying towards somewhere in the universe. In the passage, time seemed to slow down.

Asgard.

Rainbow Bridge.

The light dissipated, and the figures of the Ancient One and Luke appeared before Odin and the others.

"I brought the person here." The Ancient One said calmly.

Odin glanced at Luke next to the Ancient One, observed him carefully, nodded to him, and with a large movement of his body, holding Gungnir, he took the lead and led everyone towards the Immortal Palace.

Heimdall smiled friendly at Luke, and as for Thor, who was eager to try, he had already grabbed his hammer and, at the moment his father turned around, darted to Luke's side and put his hand affectionately on his shoulder.

"Don't mind, he's just like this, always wanting to maintain the majesty of his God King." Thor comforted Luke in what he thought was a very soft voice. But Thor's voice obviously didn't escape Odin's ears. He turned around and glared at his foolish son, making him shut up, before starting to walk again, leading the way in front.

The three parties began a brief meeting in the Immortal Palace. The meeting was presided over by Odin, the host and Father of the Gods. The participants in the meeting were Luke, the Sorcerer Supreme Ancient One, the heir to Asgard Thor, as well as Queen Frigga, and a woman with a cold face, Karnilla.

When introducing everyone, Odin didn't say much about Karnilla, who had a hostile expression, but Thor, sitting next to Luke, couldn't help but secretly reveal some information to Luke.

For example, Karnilla is the ruler of a province called Nornheim within Asgard. Although Nornheim belongs to Asgard, she considers Nornheim to be an independent country. She doesn't like Odin, opposes Odin everywhere, and calls herself the Queen of Norn. In my mother's words, this self-proclaimed queen has all the magic and magical knowledge of the Immortal Palace, and possesses magical energy second only to Father Odin. The location of the Mangog seal, the collection of hatred that needs to be resolved this time, is within Nornheim, which she rules. For this reason, Father even fought with her once.

The clan that was once defeated and buried by God King Odin is buried in the Shadow Lands of the Bottomless Abyss of Nornheim - Odin's Hole. Odin used this special environment and applied magic to make it an inescapable detention room.

"It is because of your past atrocities that such a great disaster has been left in my country!" Karnilla unceremoniously launched a charge against Odin, the host of the meeting.

"This meeting is being held to solve this disaster." Odin met Karnilla's gaze and said coldly.

"But the battlefield is in Nornheim, my territory!" Karnilla was a little irritable.

"Nornheim is also part of Asgard. We will try to control our power and reduce losses." Odin first retorted sharply, and then softened his tone and comforted her.

"I will pull the other party into my Mirror Dimension as soon as possible, so that the losses can be minimized." The Ancient One also spoke from her position.

"Then what about him? What is this Midgardian doing here?" Karnilla pointed at Luke.

"Him? He is responsible for the final seal and ending. We need his technology." Odin replied expressionlessly. Obviously, Odin didn't like this Karnilla very much either, but he really didn't want to have a conflict with her in the Immortal Palace and let the Ancient One and Luke watch the fun.

"You are actually placing your hopes on others now?" Karnilla mocked again, venting her emotions from her defeat against Odin some time ago.

"It seems we still have to fight first." Odin stood up and gripped his spear.

"Karnilla can come with us." The Ancient One also stood up, easing the explosive atmosphere between the two. The two looked at each other under the Ancient One's words and tacitly stopped targeting each other.

The rest of the meeting went smoothly. After discussing the details at the meeting, Odin and others rushed to the Bottomless Abyss of Nornheim with decisive action.

The Bottomless Abyss is a large pit with a diameter that cannot be seen to the edge at a glance. Everyone stood on the ground in front of the abyss. Under everyone's gaze, Odin, whose body was filled with strong divine power, stepped forward and chanted incomprehensible incantations. As he chanted, the place where he stood was like the eye of a storm, and the surrounding energy began to rapidly converge towards this area. Even turning from invisible to visible!

The surging tide of energy not only affected the surrounding environment, but even made the people behind Odin feel breathless and unsteady, as if they were mortals facing a storm.

As the last syllable fell with Odin's increasingly excited voice, the Bottomless Abyss seemed to echo with a bone-piercing roar! It was a sound filled with crazy hatred and anger.

The ground underfoot began to tremble slightly, and a sense of great fear shrouded the surroundings. It was as if a ferocious and violent behemoth was about to crawl out from under the abyss!

"It's coming out." A raven landed on Odin's shoulder and pecked lightly twice at Odin's ear. Odin raised his divine power and, while staring at the abyss, reminded the people behind him.

The slight tremors in the ground suddenly stopped.

The great fear that had been hovering around seemed to disappear instantly.

But everyone's senses became more acutely aware of the approaching danger.

A deafening roar was close at hand. The sound alone carried a strong mental attack, enough to drive people crazy in an instant. A huge, horned yellow monster leaped out of the abyss. Ferocious fangs turned outward, and thick arms carried a gale, whistling towards Odin in the front.

The view in front of Luke's eyes suddenly began to change. The ground was constantly lengthening, and the monster's claws and Odin were close at hand, but it was like a natural moat.

The Ancient One opened the Mirror Dimension in a timely manner.
