American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker
#315 - Conquerors: Family Loki
"Luke! Luke! Get out here! I know you're in there!"
The roar, filled with divine power, echoed inside and outside of Silent City. Demons, angels, dwarves, humans, and the bizarre creatures of the Nightmare World on the plaza all raised their heads to look at the man wreathed in lightning in the sky, their eyes filled with admiration.
It had been a long time since they had seen anyone dare to make such a clamor in Silent City.
Even the most proud, unruly, cunning, and chaotic demons would become law-abiding and honest children in Silent City. Many 'seniors' had laid the ironclad rules of discipline with their blood and tears for those who came after.
Don't even think about using a bad brain or chaotic attributes as an excuse.
Even if you were a madman, a brainless chaos monster, you could experience long-lost peace and unprecedented clarity of thought in this city, as long as you paid the price.
A brave man who dared to call the city lord's name directly like this was, even in their memories, almost unheard of in recent years. Only during the initial chaotic period of Silent City could you encounter such a person every now and then.
"Luke!…"
Thor's voice suddenly cut off, and the lightning and electric light around him suddenly dissipated in mid-air. Thor exclaimed and fell freely from the sky.
All the divine power in his body was forcibly cut off by some force, and the lightning power that he could wield as easily as his arms was stuffed back into his body. The whistling wind scraped past him, his cheeks buffeted, and Thor couldn't help but close his eyes as he watched himself getting closer and closer to the ground, mentally preparing himself for the impact.
Then a hazy light curtain opened below him, and Thor fell straight into it, then plopped onto a solid and cold ground.
Thor, whose nose hurt a little from the fall, propped himself up on the ground and gently twisted his aching nose, looking around.
He was no longer on the outer plaza, but had arrived in a laboratory filled with various experimental devices. Just ahead of him, a familiar figure made his eyes light up.
"Luke!" Thor hurried forward.
"I know why you're here," Luke turned around and said to Thor with some helplessness.
"You know?" Thor was stunned when he heard this before he could even speak, and he looked at Luke in surprise.
"Besides Loki, who else could make you so eager to come to my door, shouting outside, even forgetting about Asgard?" Luke rolled his eyes.
"I'm just worried about Loki! He wouldn't have ended up in another universe like Steve, would he?" Thor looked anxious. He was really worried that his brother Loki, like the Captain, had fallen into some universe due to an accident. Besides, he couldn't do without his good helper, Loki, now. Without him, he would have to deal with those troublesome and complicated affairs.
"Can you bring him back? You know, I need him now, and Asgard needs him," Thor looked at Luke with a simple and honest smile, pleading.
"He hasn't fallen into some unknown universe. You can rest assured about that. Also, although he is in a little trouble now, he won't be in any danger if nothing unexpected happens," Luke reassured Thor.
However, Thor was not satisfied with this: "If nothing unexpected happens? Does that mean he will still be in danger if something unexpected happens? Where is he? I think he needs the protection of his brother right now."
Looking at the muscles bulging on Thor's arm, Luke couldn't help but roll his eyes: "He is carrying out a secret mission, a mission that Odin has authorized. Don't worry about any accidents. Even if something unexpected happens and this brother is gone, I can compensate you with a bunch of brothers in the future! Men, women, old, young, human, non-human. There will always be one that satisfies you."
"No, I think one Loki is enough." Thinking of a group of various brothers surrounding him, Thor couldn't help but shudder, and he quickly shook his head, rejecting Luke's kindness.
"Really don't need me to help? I think it's better to give me a mission. You know Loki, he's good at doing bad things, but when it comes to doing things…" Thor grinned, his face full of unbearable pity. Of course, the current Loki has changed somewhat, but the original impression is deeply rooted.
"You can't help with this. If you go, you'll only make a mess!" Luke gave an answer that made Thor's face stiff without showing any mercy.
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Thor shook his head again, firmly denying Luke's assertion. "I will definitely not make a mess!"
"A game of hide-and-seek. I want to find someone, but he seems to have realized the danger and is hiding from me. This mission doesn't require much force, but it requires a lot of brains. Are you sure?" Luke said, watching the expression on Thor's face change unpredictably with a smile.
"Okay, Loki is indeed better at this. He always has some cleverness," Thor coughed twice. His strength had increased a lot with Luke's help, but at the same time, he had become more reckless. After all, Loki helped him take on most of the complicated affairs, allowing him to use the extra time to hone himself and engage in various battles.
"So, can you leave now? I still have things to deal with," Luke issued an order to leave: "You know, my time is precious."
"No, Stephen said time is worthless to you," Thor brought up the words of the Supreme Mage.
"Did he say that?" Luke looked thoughtful.
"I'm sure he said that to me!" Thor thought seriously for a moment and nodded cautiously.
"That's great. I've decided to propose at the bank meeting that we give Strange more responsibility and send him on some dimensional trips," Luke said thoughtfully.
Far away in Kamar-Taj, Stephen Strange, the Supreme Mage, inexplicably felt a sense of crisis. He cautiously stood up and released his magic power to carefully explore his surroundings, wanting to find out where the sense of crisis came from. After returning without success, he reluctantly used the Time Stone again, but after flipping through tens of thousands of timelines of the future, there were indeed troubles, but they always made him feel that they did not match the sense of crisis he perceived.
"Can I ask what mission Loki is on?" Thor approached Luke and asked in a low voice.
"I have a way to quickly get the hammer to recognize you, do you want it?" Luke took a step back and glanced at Thor sideways.
Thor's face was ecstatic, and he stepped forward to give Luke a heavy and powerful hug, but he was blocked by an invisible barrier, separating him and Luke.
Luke spread out his hand, and a silver metal plate assembled in the void, stuffed it into Thor's hand, and then pushed him directly into a hazy light curtain rising behind Thor with force.
The light curtain closed, and Thor disappeared with it.
After sending Thor away, Luke conveniently locked Thor's identity permissions to enter Silent City. At least until Loki returned, Silent City did not plan to open to Thor again.
…
Time Variance Authority.
Loki, who had just joined forces with Sylvie to kill the Time-Keepers and discovered that they were actually three robots, was met with a stab in the back.
Looking at Sylvie in front of him, Loki, whose body was disappearing rapidly, opened his mouth, full of regret, and before he could say anything, he completely disappeared before Sylvie's eyes.
Judge Ravonna Renslayer, who had backstabbed Loki, met Sylvie's faintly red eyes, filled with sadness and anger, after Loki, who was between her and Sylvie, disappeared.
"Wait, he's not dead!"
Sylvie, whose combat power exploded, snatched the weapon from her hand, and Ravonna shouted with quick wit just before erasing her. Her words made the pruning stick in Sylvie's hand stop a few millimeters above her skin.
…
"Damn it!"
When Loki opened his eyes, he saw a somewhat dim sky.
Is this Helheim?
The soul's journey after death for the people of the Nine Realms.
The prison Odin used to imprison his violent sister.
But soon, this thought disappeared from his mind, because he saw three strange-looking people who had a certain characteristic that was very familiar to him.
One of them was a black man, tall and strong, holding a hammer in his hand.
One was a funny old guy, but the outfit on his body made Loki's eyelids twitch familiarly.
There was also one standing in the center, holding a juvenile creature that looked like a crocodile in his arms.
The three people and one beast were looking down at him with burning eyes, surrounding him.
"A newbie," the black man said.
"No familiar outfit, but the face is familiar," the old man continued.
"Are you awake? If you're awake, get up, we should run," the young man snorted twice, said.
"Wait, at least tell me, where is this place? I thought I was dead!" Loki quickly got up from the ground, caught up with the three people who were striding forward, and stepped forward to ask.
"In a sense, you can also say that you are dead. This is the ruins of time, the end, the end. Call it whatever you want, it's not a good place anyway," the old man said.
"How can I leave here? I still have a lot to deal with," Loki quickly approached the old man and asked him.
"Leave?" The old man looked at him like an idiot, "How can you have such an idea? No one can escape from here, this is a prison, a prison from which no one escapes!
Did you see that monster? It's called Alioth, a monster that can devour matter and energy. If you don't want to die, keep quiet and don't attract its attention."
The old man pointed to the monster that looked like a cloud of black mist connecting the sky and the ground, reminding Loki.
"One last question, who are you?" Loki raised his hand, quickly followed them, and asked the last question he wanted to ask.
"I thought you guessed it. Look at our costumes. That's right, it's what you think! You are Loki, I am Loki, he is Loki, including that crocodile, it is also a Loki! We are a group of Loki families, welcome to join us, newbie. You have added fresh blood to us, and we have new stories about ourselves to listen to." Old Loki grinned.
They quickly came to a secret hiding place, opened the metal cover, and jumped in.
…
Sylvie, who also came to the Void at the end of time through [suicide], almost ran head-on into Alioth, who was wandering around cleaning up the Void. She strode her strong and slender legs and ran wildly on the ground.
A car ahead honked its horn, attracting her attention. Mobius, who had also been exiled here for discovering some secrets, leaned out of the car window and waved to her vigorously, signaling her to get in the car quickly.
"How did you get here too?" Sylvie, the female version of Loki, quickly jumped into the car and slammed the door shut, looking at Mobius in the driver's seat in surprise.
"Something unexpected happened, I learned some secrets that I shouldn't have known, and then I was pruned," Mobius explained calmly, then pointed his thumb behind him, "What is that thing?"
"I don't know! You've been in the TVA for so long, I should be asking you that question," Loki Sylvie said.
"That's true, it seems that the TVA has a lot of unspeakable secrets," Mobius shrugged and stepped on the gas pedal hard. Thank goodness this car can still run.
"However, I detected some interesting memories from it. These memories seem to be consistent with the ultimate secrets we want to know," Loki Sylvie said. Loki's magical ability is illusion, but the female version of her, her magical ability is enchantment. As long as there is any contact, she can use her ability to detect the memories of all life. In the fleeting energy contact just now, she had used her energy to glimpse some pictures from the other party's memories.
Inside this living storm monster, there is an unknown castle. Loki Sylvie had a strong premonition that this was the final destination she wanted to pursue.
The biggest secret of the Time Variance Authority, or rather its creator and mastermind, is there! Inside that all-devouring monster!
She must go in!
In any case, she had to go in and verify it.
So after Loki Sylvie told her speculation and the information she had obtained, she confessed to Mobius her inner plan.
"You want to rush in? Rush into the inside of that monster?" Mobius turned his head in shock to look at Sylvie. "That's too crazy! I don't think this is a good idea."
"But it is the last possible opportunity to solve our questions and find the person behind the scenes, isn't it?" Loki Sylvie gave her reply calmly.
"What are you going to do? It doesn't look easy to mess with," Mobius asked seriously, looking at the giant monster that devoured everything from the rearview mirror.
"I can try to use my ability to control it and let it open a path for us," Loki Sylvie said.
