American comics: Starting with Luke the Maker

#392 - Concept Life and God Series

“You could also consider it a conceptual life form. Since its birth, it has integrated into the most fundamental rules and logic of all the universes we've encountered, becoming a part of them,” Luke said, shrugging.

“What does that mean?” Nick's inquiring gaze turned to Stephen, whose expression was off. He could vaguely sense the terror of this life form from Luke's words, and he realized its dreadfulness, but from Luke's reply, he always felt that his understanding was somewhat lacking, or rather, inaccurate.

“What does it mean? It roughly means adding a fundamental logical rule to all universes, just like conceptual deities such as Eternity and Death. Their existence is the cornerstone of the universe's existence. Once any of them are lost, the entire multiverse will experience tremendous tremors, or even be destroyed,” Stephen replied to Nick with a wry smile. At the same time, he felt an unspeakable envy towards the Mind-Mirroring Abomination.

To be born as a conceptual deity-like life form similar to Eternity and Death, even if it's somewhat inferior, at least its life status is aligned with them. This kind of birth surpasses the endpoint that all life forms in cognition can reach; it is truly being born as a god.

Just like the concepts of life, death, and eternity, whether you accept them or not, they exist in every corner of every universe, in every moment of time, and in every life. Without them, the universe would lose an important part, and various crises would frequently occur, even leading to destruction.

His teacher, the previous Ancient One, has only just embarked on this path.

With Stephen's explanation, Nick felt unwell. After calming down those positive emotions like happiness, he could now experience other emotions. He summarized Stephen's explanation into a concise sentence: Luke created a conceptual life form of rules that could shake the foundation of the universe.

Nick didn't understand how this life form could affect the universe, but he could substitute it with a country for comparison. The universe is like a country, and those rules and logic are like finance, resources, knowledge, power, and other intangible substances that can truly affect the country. Gods like Odin can be said to be bankers, merchants, academics, and officials who control the allocation and utilization of these things. Under the current national system, if a certain field like finance is lost, the country will inevitably encounter problems, or even enter a countdown to destruction.

From this point of view, these operating rules and logic are almost impossible to eliminate for any country. It is a very meticulous and rigorous rule system.

“Every time I see you, you always seem to bring me some shock,” Stephen said with some dejection. He even felt that the increase in strength brought about by his hard work was not as great as Luke's single experiment.

“You shouldn't say that to me. My research ability is not even as good as Tony Stark's right now,” Luke, the capitalist, shook his head and didn't respond. He looked at Nick, who could control his body to stand up and move around, and whose expression was gradually returning to normal, and took the initiative to end the topic, asking, “Tell me, what matter requires both of you to come to me? Could it be that something has appeared that even you two find troublesome?”

“I'll tell you,” Nick glanced at Stephen, and finding that he had no intention of speaking, he took over Luke's words, pondered for a moment, and said, “Have you heard of the name Darkseid?”

“Darkseid?” Luke blinked.

“We brought the universe where Captain disappeared under management and granted Bruce Wayne and the others some autonomous rights. But recently, they sent us a request for help. A powerful being named Darkseid descended upon that universe with his army.

A war between universes broke out there! We suffered great losses there,” Nick said, sighing, and glanced at Stephen again, saying, “We have already dispatched a wave of reinforcements, but it failed. Stephen was also unable to stop the rampage of that Darkseid legion. Worse, that Darkseid seems to have discovered our existence.”

“And then?” Luke didn't show any dissatisfaction with the failure of Nick and Strange. Success and failure are normal. Even the Time Variance Authority and Hela's conquest are not always smooth and satisfactory. There's always a universe that can repel Hela and her forces, and fight back and forth with the TVA's army. The newest Azeroth is such a world.

He didn't care about this kind of thing.

“We found Darkseid's advance soldiers in our universe,” Nick simply spread his hands. “He's extending his tentacles into our universe, and it looks like he wants to counterattack our universe.”

“His goal should be your knowledge. He's very interested in the Data Dimension,” Stephen added from the side.

“Huh?” Luke raised his eyebrows in surprise. “How did he bypass the barriers of the Time Variance Authority and enter our universe? I remember that after reversing the ownership of the TVA, I specifically worked with the Ancient One to build a Time Wall around the periphery of the universe. To invade this universe, you must first break through the Time Wall and the barrier of the TVA. Has the TVA been invaded again?”

“The Time Variance Authority has not been invaded. Hela and Loki have already strengthened the TVA's protective measures. I have communicated with Loki, and everything is normal there. Although he was a little exasperated by my suspicion, I don't think he would resort to deception in this matter. In fact, the SHIELD investigators also found nothing unusual,” Nick denied Luke's last question.

“Then he found some kind of loophole to bypass the defense mechanism? Is it a spy? Or did something go wrong with the people you sent to support? The entry of unfamiliar powerful life forms into this universe will inevitably be detected and captured by the Data Dimension,” Luke asked directly. Although he set the warning threshold of the Data Dimension very high, some small fries might sneak in without being immediately noticed and discovered, but Luke instinctively felt that this should have nothing to do with the high or low observation threshold he set for the Data Dimension.

“It's a couple of SHIELD agents,” Nick said somewhat awkwardly, “We can't be blamed for this. Who would have thought that they, who wore psionic rings, could be easily controlled?”

“The Anti-Life Equation. It's somewhat similar to a portion of psionic power, capable of controlling the will of life. I think that Darkseid may have already obtained some important information from our side, so he has turned his attention to us,” Stephen said of the power Darkseid possessed, “And this power he possesses can even have a certain effect on those with psionic protection.”

“What about Tranquility Blue?” Luke suddenly asked, seemingly out of nowhere.

Based on the tacit understanding he had developed with Luke when doing business, Nick immediately realized what Luke was referring to. He replied, “Tranquility Blue is still in effect, and it is precisely because of it that we discovered and controlled those two agents who became puppets. But the other party's power is very stubborn. Tranquility Blue can only neutralize it and cannot completely eliminate it. So I was wondering if we could allocate some higher purity Tranquility Blue crystals to SHIELD?”

“There's no need for so much trouble. You can directly borrow Becci's pet. The White Soul-Eater is the nemesis of this type of power. They cannot be controlled or restricted by all energies of conventional cognition, and can help life absorb and eliminate this type of controlled state,” Luke waved his hand, indicating that there was no need for so much trouble.

“Then, what do you think we should do about this Darkseid threat?” Nick asked with a headache, “A large portion of our energy there has been intercepted. It has obviously fallen into Darkseid's hands.”

“Originally, this was a matter for the Energy Bank, but now you know very well that Mephisto and the others are having a great time in the world of Azeroth. We thought we should let you know about this first.”

“If possible, can I borrow Becci's White Soul-Eater? If I have it, and I bring Father Odin or Thor, I'll go and solve this matter,” Stephen then made a request. In his opinion, as long as he could limit Darkseid's Anti-Life Equation, and bring one or two powerful partners, plus Wayne and the others from the other world, they could still fight Darkseid and his legion.

“Of course,” Luke said indifferently. However, based on his understanding of Becci, she would most likely go and join in the fun herself. She had long wanted to catch some wild lamp spirits to play with. If one day there was a dimensional life pet park in the universe, the owner of that pet park would most likely be Becci. Only she would tirelessly collect and capture those strange and dangerous dimensional creatures as pets.

“You can mobilize some demon legions, mercenary corps from the Nine Realms, and some biological weapon legions from Heblon to help,” Luke said, and added another sentence.

“That's great,” Stephen and Nick breathed a sigh of relief at the same time. Although they were both shareholders of the Energy Bank, the shareholders' right to speak was also very different. Only Luke could order and use their power without being refused when the majority of shareholders were not present. After all, the foundation of the Energy Bank was built on Luke's energy and technical guarantee. Under this subtle influence, whether it was Mephisto or Dormammu, they were still very willing to give Luke face.

Otherwise, what if something went wrong with the abyssal seal in their home?

“Forget it, I'll add another layer of insurance for you,” Luke thought for a while, and cautiously added another layer of insurance.

“What?” Nick stepped into a spatial gate that suddenly appeared behind him, and beckoned them to follow from the other side of the gate. After a moment of stunned silence, the two immediately followed curiously into the spatial gate, and unsurprisingly arrived at Luke's collection room they had just left. Of course, it was another area within the collection room.

The spatial gate disappeared behind them. They looked at the empty space with only three walls, waiting for Luke's next move.

The sound of metal parts rubbing and turning rang out, and the wall directly in front of Nick and the others opened like two doors with a rumbling sound. A tall giant was sleeping with his eyes closed.

The giant was very tall. Nick and the others stood below and felt like small bugs. Even though Nick couldn't be considered an ordinary human now, the fear etched into the bottom of his life in the face of a powerful being still existed. The sleeping giant in front of him gave Nick the suffocating feeling he would only have when facing dimensional demon gods like Mephisto and the others.

This meant that the other party's life level was high enough!

Stephen felt even more sensitive. He could even feel the earth-shattering and vast energy contained in the giant's body, as well as the other party's extremely tough body. Out of some keen magical intuition, he even suspected whether his Rings of Raggadorr, at full power, could pierce the other party's seemingly rough skin.

“Celestial Series - Uranos!” Luke said the giant's name from behind the two of them. “Of course, it has nothing to do with the one in the universe. It is a series of weapons currently used to deal with high-end wars like dimensional demon gods. It may be even more powerful than the Celestials in the legends of the universe. It can be said to be the essence of all life in all universes.

Some of the characteristics of the Azeroth Star Soul have given it a soul. Of course, it is controlled. You can take it with you. I think with its strength, it should be enough to help you deal with any accidents. If even it can't fight against certain accidents, then I think it will be difficult for you as well. At least in the final critical moment, it can still give you some hope of escape.”

“Can't you say something nice?” Nick and Stephen were a little dissatisfied with Luke's words. How could they fail again and again?

“What abilities does it have? Introduce it in detail? Or rather, how can we control this big guy?” Nick looked at this big guy, his eyes filled with love and fondness. As the King of Spies, he naturally had a love for things that represented combat power. It would be even better if it could bring him a strong sense of security.

“What abilities does it have? You shouldn't ask that. What you should ask is, what abilities doesn't it have!” Luke smiled and corrected Nick's question. “It has all the superpowers you can think of, including time and space. You can even regard it as an Infinity Stone collection that is not restricted by the universe. You don't need to be distracted to control it. It has enough wisdom to judge the situation and make the right decisions. All you need to do is tell it where the enemy is.”
