"They're here!"

A pure gold carriage drawn by eight pristine white horses, without a single blemish, slowly approached. The noble youths waiting at the entrance showed a hint of excitement, instinctively checking their attire to ensure perfection before standing tall, presenting their best selves.

"Greetings, esteemed students."

The golden carriage halted before the assembled students, and a blond-haired young man descended, escorting a young woman. He offered a gentle smile, for he was none other than the next heir to the Kingdom of Yst, * * *, and beside him stood the eldest daughter of Arnold, the kingdom's most powerful mage and a high-ranking noble.

Betrothed since birth, they were now both sixteen, awaiting only the completion of their coming-of-age ceremonies to formalize their union.

"Greetings, Prince * * *, Miss Alize."

The noble youths returned the greeting with smiles, then followed them into the academy grounds.

"By the way, Aseli, will Lord Arnold be attending your coming-of-age ceremony?"

Within the academy, Prince * * * turned to his betrothed, inquiring about her father's attendance. His position as heir was due not only to his own merits but also to the fact that his fiancée's father was Arnold, the kingdom's most powerful mage and a top-tier noble.

Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed from ahead. The noble youths halted their chatter and looked towards the source of the sound. The academy's tallest tower, a symbol of its prestige, had split in two and was now collapsing before their horrified eyes.

"What... What is that?!"

A noble youth pointed towards the fallen tower, his voice cracking in terror. A tentacle, hundreds of meters long and several meters wide, bristling with fanged maws, erupted from the ground. The monstrous appendage began to devour everything in sight, the youth witnessing instructors torn apart and consumed by the mouths on the tentacle.

Crack!

Suddenly, Aseli felt the ground beneath her tremble. Looking down, she saw cracks spreading across the earth, within which fleshy tentacles writhed. The indescribable sight filled her with a deep unease, from soul to flesh.

"Ara! It's big sister, long time no see. Does big sister miss Loeina?"

Suddenly, Aseli heard a childlike voice behind her, followed by an eerie sensation on her neck, as if something were crawling there. Startled, she cried out and instinctively activated a magical shield to protect herself.

"Alia... You... How did you and Lord Arnold become like this?"

At that moment, * * *'s terrified voice came from the side. The once elegant and confident prince was now staring at Aseli's back with a look of abject horror and disbelief.

In mere minutes, the body of the Allmother Nest had expanded several times over, newly formed tentacles sprouting the heads of the devoured noble youths and magic instructors.
