Astral Cockroach

#202 - Small exchange meeting

The Oil Pear Duchess, having lived a long life, was no fool. Her mind quickly turned, and she said, "Blood Peach Duchess, you can buy the Blood Thorn Seeds first, but you have to sell some of the Blood Peach Kernels to me."

"No problem," the Blood Peach Duchess readily agreed, then added, "I don't want the Oil Pear Fruit. Let's do a spot trade. Do you have any raw stones?"

"I'll owe you," the Oil Pear Duchess said, "When the trade caravan comes next year, I'll get the raw stones and return them to you immediately."

"No owing," the Blood Peach Duchess firmly refused.

The Oil Pear Duchess said, "Then I have no reason to let you have priority."

Seeing them arguing, Banbu quickly said, "Oil Pear Duchess, how about this? I'll trade with the Blood Peach Duchess first, and all the Blood Peach Kernels I get in exchange for 3,000 Blood Thorn Seeds, I'll sell to you at the original price. You can owe me the raw stones and return them next year."

"Also, I'll reserve all the Blood Thorn Seeds produced in my territory next year for you."

"Smart little guy," the Blood Peach Duchess praised.

The Oil Pear Duchess thought about it. It seemed like a win-win for her, but Banbu would be at a disadvantage. She shook her antennae and insisted, "That's not right. Blood Peach Duchess, you have to offer more Blood Peach Kernels for sale."

Banbu quickly said, "I'm not in a hurry to grow right now. I can wait until the year after next to exchange Blood Thorn Seeds with the Blood Peach Duchess."

The Blood Peach Duchess agreed, "That's right, a reasonable arrangement."

Banbu asked, "Blood Peach Duchess, at what price are you selling your peach kernels?"

The Blood Peach Duchess possessed a Blood Peach God-given Seed, which was of standard high quality. The Blood Peach fruits were divided into flesh and kernels. The fresh fruits were harvested, the flesh was sold to the clan at a low price, and the kernels were collected and sold to the trade caravan.

The Blood Peach Duchess said, "Blood Peach kernels have thick shells and small seeds. They have always been sold to the trade caravan at a price of 45 raw stones per kernel, and not sold to the clan... How much do you sell your Blood Thorn Seeds for?"

Banbu said, "4 raw stones for sale to the clan, 6 raw stones for sale to the trade caravan."

The Blood Peach Duchess calculated and said, "A very reasonable price. Then I'll take a slight loss. For the first transaction, I'll sell to you at a unit price of 26 raw stones. For the second transaction, I'll sell to you at a price of 27 raw stones."

Banbu said, "Okay."

The Blood Peach County had a higher primal force concentration than the Crimson Firm County, a larger land area, and a population of over a thousand insects. It was a large county much richer than the Crimson Firm County.

The Blood Peach Duchess didn't particularly care about this small deal and asked the Drooping Willow Duchess, "What's your name? Does your territory produce any good God-given Seeds? We can exchange them at equal value."

The Drooping Willow Duchess said, "My name is Drooping Willow. There is only one Drooping Willow God-given Seed in my territory, which enhances water element abilities, but it doesn't match the talent abilities of the various tribes in our Fire Roach Kingdom."

"Oh," The Blood Peach Duchess waved her antennae, lost interest in the Drooping Willow Duchess, turned her head directly, and walked towards the other three Crimson Roach warriors not far away.

Obviously, this fellow was taking advantage of the gathering of warriors with God-given Seeds from the Crimson Roach tribe to seek transactions.

After all, being from the same Fire Roach Kingdom, they were technically the same clan. Buying and selling primal force food internally was much cheaper than buying from the trade caravan.

The Oil Pear Duchess was enthusiastic, leading the Drooping Willow Duchess and Banbu, and began introducing them to the mountain lords and duchesses with God-given Seeds that she knew.

...

In primitive social forms, transportation and communication were extremely backward, and insect warriors all had territories to manage, so they rarely interacted with each other.

The oppressive atmosphere eased, and imperceptibly, the grove became a trading market, where they introduced each other, got to know each other, communicated, and reached various transaction intentions.

The lively atmosphere continued until dawn, the rainstorm stopped, and the golden morning sun shone into the forest.

Insect warriors, for the most part, had personalities that were somewhat introverted. One by one, they dispersed and found dry, sunny places to lie down silently, enjoying the sunshine.

Banbu also found a comfortable spot to lie down.

It wasn't until noon that the warriors of Crimson Firm County remembered that the distinguished guests hadn't eaten anything and hunted food to send over.

This wait lasted a full five days before the Great Leaf Duchess reappeared.

The Blood Peach Duchess and the Oil Pear Duchess, the two major creditors, were the most anxious and stepped forward to inquire at the first moment.

"Great Leaf Duchess, how is it?"

"Did you borrow the raw stones?"

The Great Leaf Duchess nodded her antennae and said, "I borrowed 150,000 raw stones from your Blood Peach County, and just handed them over to the Fire Roach Queen Bee. The Little Leaf Duchess went to the Jade Peach County and should be able to return tomorrow."

"Another 150,000 raw stones borrowed..." The Oil Pear Duchess asked somewhat laboriously, "Is it still not enough?"

The Great Leaf Duchess replied, "I don't know. The Fire Lotus Queen Bee said that the Crimson Firm Duchess's condition is not good, and her life force is seriously weakened."

The best three-month period for advancing to Roach Queen had passed. If she couldn't succeed after three months, it would become more dangerous day by day.

...

The Blood Peach Duchess was relieved. Hearing that the Great Leaf Duchess had borrowed the emergency raw stones, she turned around and left carelessly, passing right by Banbu's side.

Banbu had been paying attention to the conversation between the Great Leaf Duchess and the Oil Pear Duchess. He flapped his wings and asked strangely, "Blood Peach Duchess, were the raw stones borrowed from other warriors with God-given Seeds in your Blood Peach County?"

The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ said ⊥ is ⊥ at ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥ ⊥ book ⊥ ⊥ bar ⊥ ⊥ first ⊥ release!

"Of course," the Blood Peach Duchess replied.

Banbu was even more strange and asked, "Then you... if you personally stepped in, wouldn't things be much simpler?"

"It's no use if I come forward," the Blood Peach Duchess said, "My position in the Blood Peach County... The other warriors in the Blood Peach County all directly listen to the orders of the Longevity Roach King. The Longevity Roach King particularly dislikes me, don't you know that?"

"I don't know," Banbu said, "I know now."

The Longevity Roach King had existed for too long, to the point where it couldn't even remember how many years it had lived. Not counting the Crimson Roach tribe, the number of insect children and grandchildren of the Flying Fire Roach tribe that had multiplied from its territory exceeded 50,000.

Intelligent beings, as they got older, their likes and dislikes became clear. It would be strange if the Blood Peach Duchess's personality was pleasing.

It could be seen that, after a few days of contact, most of these Crimson Roach tribe warriors didn't like to associate with the Blood Peach Duchess. Her strange personality was naturally annoying to insects.

The Blood Peach Duchess asked, "Little guy, do you live in the Brocade Screen Mountains? The mountain range bordering the Brocade River?"

Banbu replied, "Yes."

The Blood Peach Duchess said, "Then you're in trouble. The Longevity Roach King said that he will be reclaiming and expanding land this autumn, in the wasteland mountains not far from the Brocade Screen Mountains."

Banbu said, "I know."

The Flower Roach Kingdom will also be developing wasteland, just on the opposite bank."

Banbu said, "Yes."

The Blood Peach Duchess stared at Banbu and asked with interest, "Aren't you afraid?"

"Afraid," Banbu asked back, "How many warriors do you Flying Fire Roach tribe plan to send out?"

The Blood Peach Duchess said, "Probably about ten thousand."

Banbu asked, "Only ten thousand?"

"It would be nice to have 10,000 old, weak, sick, and disabled!" The Blood Peach Duchess said, "Most warriors are not very enthusiastic about this matter. The borderlands are barren in primal force and full of fierce beasts. No one wants the little warriors born in their territory to be sent to such harsh places to survive."

This Nima...

Banbu's good mood was completely ruined.

The fewer warriors participating in the reclamation and expansion of land, the weaker the encirclement and suppression of beast warriors, and the greater the probability of them wandering into the Brocade Terrace Mountains and then into the Brocade Screen Mountains.
