Azeroth Monster Manual
#10 - 36 Signs of Female Murlocs Looking for a Mating Partner
“Cough… cough, cough.”
He coughed up a mouthful of blood with difficulty, and the glaring sunlight forced him to open his weak eyes.
He wanted to stand up, but found that half of his body had disappeared. The dark purple, hideous wound had already stopped bleeding, and a large area of burns from the flames appeared before his eyes.
“Hiss… I didn’t die, after all.”
Eir took out a pill with a strange smell from his miraculously undamaged spatial backpack and swallowed it in one gulp.
The depleted mana pool rapidly filled up at a speed visible to the naked eye.
“The well water of the Sunwell is fused with Aegilsson’s potent magic essence. The lost mana is still too much. It seems that this research direction is wrong. Hiss, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts.”
Ending his recurring occupational disease, Eir floated up, finally having a chance to survey the surrounding scenery.
What came into view was a boundless white snowfield, with towering mountains in the distance, stretching as far as the eye could see.
Feeling the disappearing magical fluctuations in the air, Eir took a deep breath.
“It’s all over…”
Time went back to a day ago.
Eir had just released the Inter界 Teleportation Spell when he felt a burst of violent spatial turbulence sweeping in.
He wanted to stop the spell, but found that the spatial gate was exerting a strong suction force. The last image in Eir's eyes was the face of Belovweal, his eyes wide with fury, trying to stop him…
“Is this Winterspring in Kalimdor? No, this is… Dragonblight!”
Falling heavily on the thick snow, Eir only felt a burst of dizziness. He endured the urge to vomit and stood up in a panic, only to see the incredible scene in the air.
“Oh? Another tiny bug. Aegwynn, your weak magic really opens my eyes.”
A deafening, mocking laugh came from the air.
A huge figure burning with raging flames stood like a mountain not far from Eir.
Two curved, spiraling demon horns on his forehead pointed straight into the sky. His dark red skin was covered with specks of green fluorescent light. On his goat-like, arched feet, fel flames burned fiercely, scorching two huge pits in this eternal frozen earth.
“Sargeras, your end is today!”
The female mage floating in the air focused all her attention on the fallen Titan Sargeras. She raised “Aluneth,” which was spinning with pink streamers, preparing to deal a fatal blow to the weakened Lord of the Legion before her.
“Uh, Guardian Aegwynn, ma'am, I'd like to interject…”
Aegwynn staggered, almost falling from the air.
Aegwynn: “Damn long-ears, do you know what you're doing!?”
Sargeras: “Damn bug, how dare you interrupt my plan!”
Eir stood up timidly, ignoring the fear in his heart, and hurriedly seized the opportunity to say flatteringly:
“Almighty fallen Titan Sargeras, I, a humble being, would like to take up a little bit of your time with Lady Aegwynn, just a little bit…”
As he spoke, he did not forget to gesture with his little finger, looking completely obsequious.
“Oh, an interesting bug. You recognize me?”
“Of course, the creator of the Burning Legion, the most powerful warrior of the Pantheon, the Protector, the most noble of the gods, the Avenger Aggramar’s mentor.”
“How many years has it been? Someone actually knows that despicable past. Bug, you have successfully aroused my interest.”
Sargeras rested his huge, unparalleled claws on his chin, staring with interest at the tiny Eir in the distance.
‘Amazing kid, how does he know Sargeras’s past secrets?’ Aluneth said quietly.
“Shut up, if you don’t want to be sealed again.”
Aegwynn rarely fell silent and did not continue to cast spells. That long-ear seemed to know some secrets of the fallen Titan. She wanted to listen more, which might add a little chance of winning in the next battle.
“Thank you for your generosity, Lord Sargeras. Next, what I want to explain to you is…”
Eir paused, revealing a sly smile.
“The 36 signals of a female murloc seeking a mate.”
Eir ignored Sargeras's increasingly hideous expression and quickly finished reciting the prepared teaching materials.
“Bug, you dare to fool the great Lord of the Legion! Die!”
The enraged Sargeras stretched out his burning, scarlet claws, pointing a finger in Eir's direction.
“Crap! It’s a Finger of Death!”
Eir knew it was over as soon as he saw Sargeras stretching out his claws. He tried his best to cast a teleportation spell to leave, but found that the entire space node had been sealed by the Dark Titan.
At this critical moment, [Hypermnesia] was activated.
Deep blue, complex, and mysterious runes flowed in the depths of his pupils. Eir stared unblinkingly at Sargeras's claws.
‘According to the sun’s reflection and Aegwynn’s position, it can be determined that Sargeras is 98 feet away. The known information about Finger of Death is that it is instant, the speed is unknown, the power is unknown, and being hit in the head will most likely result in a one-hit kill, so…’
Watching the ray of death streak across the sky like a meteor, Eir's body, comparable to an epic-level warrior, exploded. He twisted his body with all his might.
No sooner said than done, the rose-red lightning struck Eir in just 0.1 seconds. The energy seemed to have the characteristic of annihilation. As soon as it made contact, half of the elven youth's body disappeared, and his corpse fell straight into the snow.
“Alright, the ignorant bug has paid the price. Aegwynn, are you ready? The next pitiful ant to die will be you!”
“Outrageous words, Sargeras, today this place will be your burial ground…”
Aegwynn ignored the elven youth who fell to the ground like a rag doll. In her heart, eliminating the Dark Titan in front of her was the top priority. The death of an ignorant, noisy long-ear in this way was also a good choice.
“How dare you! Aluneth…”
Darkness filled Eir's eyes, and he heard Aegwynn's exasperated screams in his ears, but he knew it was meaningless.
…
Time returned to the present.
“I have to leave here quickly. The blue dragon is likely to come and inspect the battlefield between Aegwynn and Sargeras.”
Eir slowly lowered his half body, and the crisp Thalassian language was spoken from his mouth. The purple glow of the Inter界 Teleportation Spell quickly enveloped him.
Just as the teleportation spell was about to complete, an ethereal voice rang in his ears.
‘Amazing kid, how did you do it?’
“Who?”
Trembling, he twisted his body, but it was too late. The brilliance of the teleportation spell lit up, and Eir disappeared from the spot.
Eir, with only half of his body left, floated up, enduring the pain. The humid and stuffy environment made his wound a little itchy.
“Phew, Azeroth is too dangerous. My research material is still too little…”
‘What is research material?’
“Holy sh*t…”
Eir's body stiffened, and he slowly turned his head.
The pink scepter floated in mid-air like him. A purple halo exuding a strong arcane aura rotated at the front end of the staff. A purple arcane gem at the base of the nearly two-meter-long staff was emitting a clear light.
“Aluneth!”
Eir exclaimed.
‘Still a prophet? Interesting kid,’ Aluneth said quietly.
