#97 - Chapter 95: Captain, don't shoot! We are one of them
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
The Woodtooth guardians emitted shrill roars.
Eyre, in his troll transformation, smiled slightly, revealing狰狞 fangs. The youth stood on the towering altar, looking down. The once peaceful Shadra'Loh had become a frenzy of activity due to the Woodtooth guardians' warnings.
Squad after squad of Woodtooth headhunters and voodoo priests were gathering here.
"Mirror Image!"
Eyre softly chanted the spell. Soon, seven or eight clones appeared around him.
The youth removed the corrupted branch leather armor from his body, and then took out several different styles of leather armor and priestly robes from his dimensional backpack, quickly putting these clothes on several mirror image clones.
"Things are getting interesting."
The youth smiled slightly and casually threw the high priest's corpse down. With the youth's actions, several clones rushed off in different directions as if they had received instructions.
"Gods, he killed the high priest! That corrupted branch trash killed the high priest!"
"Careful! There are voodoo priests and headhunters among these corrupted branch trash!"
"Catch them! Don't let that shadow hunter run away!"
...
While these Woodtooth trolls were busy capturing his clones, Eyre quietly jumped off the altar and soon arrived at the most densely populated area of Shadra'Loh, the barracks and civilian district.
"Comrade LF once said that we should treat comrades with the warmth of spring, and treat the enemy with the ruthlessness of the autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves. So, I wish you a blissful rebirth!"
As he spoke, the youth took out dozens of Molotov cocktails from his bag and threw them one after another into the scattered tents. Soon, the entire Shadra'Loh was ablaze, and the trolls' cries for help and screams echoed through the sky.
...
The High Wilderness Ranger Squad at the shores of Lake Valoren was lying prone on the bank, enduring the bites of mosquitoes and the gnawing of leeches crawling out of the lake.
Kainnel was lying on the lake shore, bored out of his mind. The pampered youth had long since put a transparent mana shield on himself.
"Legion Commander, about Lord Eyre's situation…"
"Shut up! Pay attention to concealment."
"Yes… Legion Commander."
The high elf mage replied weakly, picking a foxtail grass from his hand and placing it in his mouth. In his opinion, this Legion Commander named Sador Moonwing was too strict.
And Sador Moonwing's impression of Kainnel wasn't much better. In his eyes, this recruit was no different from those high and mighty mages in Silvermoon City, equally ignorant and equally pampered.
"That is…"
Just as everyone was trying their best to endure, Kainnel suddenly stood up as if he had discovered something.
"Recruit! I warn you…"
Sador stopped before he could finish his reprimand, because he had also discovered something.
"Everyone, move your limbs, check your equipment. You have three minutes. After three minutes, execute the order!"
Sador looked at the fiery northeast and said seriously.
...
Aerie Peak
"Kurdrann, northwest! Northwest! You idiot!"
Hemit shoved the telescope in his hand to a dumbfounded Kurdrann and shouted anxiously.
"Where? Where? Why can't I see it?"
Kurdrann said with a confused look. It seemed he hadn't sobered up yet.
Falsar was more reliable. He pointed to the fiery northwest and said in a deep voice:
"Let the gryphon riders set off, Kurdrann."
"Ha! Brothers, grab your weapons! It's time to let those Woodtooth trolls suffer!"
"For Aerie Peak!"
"For Anvilmar!"
"Charge! Kill all those Woodtooth trash!"
Dozens of gryphon riders who were already prepared climbed onto their mounts and roared toward Silithus.
"Hemit, what are you doing!"
Falsar grabbed the old dwarf who was rushing out.
"It's time to let Zero stretch its legs. That big guy's joints are all rusted!"
Hemit was as excited as if he had been injected with chicken blood, impatiently tugging at Falsar's sleeve.
"Idiot, have you forgotten what Lord Eyre told you? The plan this time is to divert the trouble eastward. If you drive Zero over there, are you going to flatten Silithus? What's the point of our plan then!"
Falsar's words made Hemit calm down. The old dwarf returned to his seat dejectedly.
After a moment, he suddenly became excited as if he had thought of something.
"Kurdrann! Isn't Skylar the bravest skyguard!"
The old dwarf grabbed the dazed Kurdrann and shouted loudly.
"Of… Of course, Skylar is… is the Son of the Sky!"
Although Kurdrann was still drunk and hadn't sobered up, he still said firmly.
"Aren't we good brothers!"
Hemit continued to shout loudly. The dwarf's natural loud voice stunned Kurdrann, but Kurdrann still said in a slurred voice:
This work is organized and uploaded by ~~
"Of… Of course, Hemit and Falsar are my best brothers… hic."
"Aren't you and Skylar brothers!"
"Of… Of course, Kurdrann and Skylar are… hic, are blood brothers… hic."
"Kurdrann, you're drunk."
The relatively sober Falsar seemed to see through Hemit's trick and quickly grabbed his brother's arm, wanting to remind him not to talk nonsense anymore.
"Bull… Bullshit, you're the one who's drunk. Kurdrann can still drink five barrels… no! Drink ten more barrels of ale… hic."
"Don't interrupt, I haven't finished yet."
Hemit quickly pulled Falsar away, covered his mouth, and continued to ask.
"Hemit and Kurdrann are good brothers, and Kurdrann and Skylar are good brothers, so aren't Hemit and Skylar also good brothers?"
"Uh… hic, of… of course, we are all… hic, good brothers, where's my wine? Bring the wine."
"Haha, you said it!"
Hemit pushed away the drunk Kurdrann and the dumbfounded Falsar, and slipped away from the Hammerfall Hold.
Not long after, the two people sitting in the Hammerfall Hold saw a dwarf shouting and riding a gryphon into the distance from the window.
"Fals… Falsar, am I… am I hic, seeing things… hic? Why does that gryphon outside look so much like that Skylar… hic?"
...
"Haha, no wonder those Hammerfall dwarves like gryphons so much. It turns out that galloping in the sky is so exhilarating. What do you say? Skylar?"
Hemit chuckled and raised his hands, clamping Skylar's abdomen with his legs, signaling it to fly faster.
Skylar rolled his eyes in a very human-like manner and helplessly accelerated.
It had to be said that Skylar, this intelligent Son of the Sky, was truly something. If he had randomly switched to an ordinary gryphon, Hemit would have fallen off with his careless personality.
Without mentioning how carefree Hemit was, the dozens of Hammerfall dwarves had already arrived at Silithus. The dwarves roared as they flew over the town, and Molotov cocktails fell like rain on the thatched tents.
"Ah! It's those Hammerfall dwarves! Go and inform the overseer, the Hammerfall dwarves have come for revenge!"
"Run! The Hammerfall dwarves have come for revenge!"
"My eyes! I can't see my eyes! Someone save me!"
...
The entire Silithus was in chaos, and burning houses and fleeing trolls became the main theme of this performance.
"Lads, don't let a single Woodtooth trash escape!"
The dwarf captain with the orange beard commanded dozens of gryphon riders to clear the battlefield. The electric storm hammers roared down from the sky, and patches of trolls turned into coke.
"Captain! There's movement ahead!"
A Hammerfall dwarf parked his gryphon in front of the captain and shouted a reminder.
"Oh? There are still people who are actively coming to die? Let me see!"
The orange-bearded captain raised his dwarf hunting rifle, one eye squinting at the scope.
"Captain, don't shoot, it's one of us!"
Kainnel shouted hoarsely as he ran.
