Time flies so fast. In the blink of an eye, "Under Deep Space" has reached almost 290,000 words. Counting from September 1st, it has been two months. From 0 collections at the beginning, to 1, 100, and now more than 3,000...

Some friends have discovered my books since they were tens of thousands words long and have been following them till now. They are very grateful! I won’t go into details about the name, and welcome all friends who join halfway.

Tomorrow is November 1st, which is the day it will be put on the shelves. I am slightly nervous and a little apprehensive. Well, actually, it doesn’t have to be like this. For me, who only has a collection of 3,000, it is an inevitable phenomenon to rush out.

Three thousand Yue Jia can swallow Wu, but the base of three thousand collections is too small, so it can only be regarded as a rush...

However, there are good and bad ways to beat the public. Some books are put on the shelves, but only one or two are subscribed, and they are subscribed by pirated websites. How can it be so miserable?

However, some books were thrown out of the market in the early stage, but they can be picked up in the later stage... Of course I hope that I am in the latter situation, but this requires the joint efforts of me and all the book friends.

Before writing this book, I did some research on the market environment. Science fiction novels have always had little market position and little prospect (Qian Jing).

Few people see it, it’s less popular, and even fewer people subscribe!

Of course, I am referring to serious science fiction novels. Looking at the entire science fiction page, most of them are Infinite, Marvel and Doomsday, as well as some weird fantasy novels. The occasional science fiction book or two did not do very well.

This also proves from the side that no one reads serious science fiction, and therefore no one writes about it. In a vicious circle, it has become what it is now. And the original few sci-fi greats, eunuchs of eunuchs, have transformed, and some have been mixed and published... It shows that this road is not easy to follow.

Therefore, this time I was basically asking for it.

However, I still like this type of science fiction in the stars and sea. I did not expect to write a magnificent masterpiece that would be remembered forever, nor did I expect that this book would sweep all the major lists and become a god.

I'm just an ordinary person, a science student with no writing skills. I just want to express some of the wild ideas in my head through words. And when I create, I enjoy it, and that’s enough.

Of course, my writing will be more motivated when someone reads it. Maybe every author is like this... If no one appreciates the words I write, then there is no meaning in writing. (Except diary)

Now that it’s on the shelves, the most important thing you care about is, of course, subscribing. Collections are fictitious, only subscriptions are real. The real performance of a book is measured by subscriptions, not collections.

I’m not pessimistic. Listing has always been a depressing thing, because it means charging, and many readers who don’t have such consumption habits may be lost.

It is already very good if one person subscribes out of ten collections. Some people directly take it off the shelves, and most turn to pirated copies. The actual situation is like this...

But this is a world where performance is measured by subscriptions. Only if the subscription is high, Dianniang may think highly of me and give me more recommendations to attract more readers... Of course I hope to have more readers.

So I have been thinking, with 3,000 collections, I wonder if there will be 100 subscriptions... If not, it would be too embarrassing. Or, should I open a small account myself and add a few? (T^T)

Of course, more than one hundred, two hundred, or three hundred subscriptions will make me jump with joy! For relatively good books, the subscription-to-subscription ratio is probably around 10:1. I wonder how many my books are?

Although the collection is only 3,000, if the collection ratio is good, it can prove that its quality is still good, right?

Regarding the issue of piracy, I won’t say much. I just hope that everyone can subscribe to the genuine version and support me... After all, it is something I have worked hard to figure out. If more people recognize it, it will always give more support. I bring a greater sense of accomplishment.

My coding speed is very slow. I write two chapters a day, four to five thousand words, and it takes about four or five hours to write. One thousand words an hour, I can be said to be handicapped.

Because this kind of article is not a routine article, there is no place for reference (copying), and coding often requires consulting a large amount of information, which is both brain-burning and time-consuming. After each time I finish writing, I have to revise it several times before I am satisfied with it before posting it.

If this is the case and few people read it, it will be a huge blow to an author. Many novices are like this.

Of course... let me reveal a secret. I am definitely not a new writer, so my mental capacity is relatively high...

As for the issue of eunuchs, don’t think so much, just write slowly and you can always finish it. I never expect to support myself with royalties. A few hundred subscriptions only cost more than ten yuan a day. If I really want to make money from this, I might as well move bricks...
