Finished and sprinkled flowers!

Let me report the results first. The book received 600 orders on its first day of release, and 4,200 orders on average after completion. It has a total of 3.48 million words and took 20 months to complete.

Although the results are mediocre, without your support, I wouldn’t even have achieved this and would have died long ago, so thank you all for your support!

Let's talk about the ending. Although the current ending has some blanks, if I continue writing, it will deviate from the theme of the end of the world. Personally, I feel that since I am writing about the end of the world, I should be purer and only write about the end of the world on Earth. The content of the last volume is a supplement to the regretful plot in the previous volume. Since the end of the world has been resolved and the regrets have been made up, it is natural that it should end.

This book was published quite suddenly. The author was playing various apocalyptic games at the time and reading some apocalyptic novels. Then, on a whim, he decided to write a book about the apocalypse. The time interval between the book opening and the publication was very short. There was not much preparation. It was completely passionate writing. There was no outline. Basically, I wrote whatever came to my mind.

For talented writers, not having an outline may be a good thing, as they can express themselves freely without worrying about being restricted by rules and regulations. But for ordinary writers like me, it is easy to fail without an outline.

As expected, it collapsed after only one month on the shelves, that is, at the end of the first volume, and it was directly cut short...

Stop scolding (_), regarding the plot at the end of the first volume, please allow me to quibble -

After it was put on the shelves, I kept updating tens of thousands of words every day. Every day, except for sleeping and eating, I was writing. In addition, the author wrote relatively slowly, so there was no time to sort out the plot carefully.

The author originally wanted to write that the strongest gorilla zombie found the Shuize base, and the protagonist Wang Tao led it away to protect the survivors. But then other zombies and mutants appeared outside the base, and Wang Tao was temporarily unable to return to help. Wei Zhenguo and others risked their lives to buy precious time for Wang Tao. In the end, Wang Tao hunted down all the enemies, turned the tide, and resolved the Shuize base crisis...

The result was that, because Wang Tao himself had fallen into a deep sleep due to his evolution, a major crisis suddenly occurred in the base, and Wang Tao was unable to rescue during his sleep, so there were heavy casualties in the base... This caused Wang Tao to suddenly turn from a savior into a troublemaker (T_T)...

In fact, the author knew at the time that there was a high probability that there would be problems with writing like this, but it was too late to change it.

As I just said, the author has no outline, and has been updating rapidly, so there is not much time to sort out the previous plot. Unless he takes three days off to revise. But at that time, the book had just been put on the shelves, and the first order performance was not good. The author himself was a nobody, without any fan base. If the author dared to stop updating for two or three days, the readers would have said goodbye. Nowadays, the pace of life is very fast, and there are so many novels on the Internet. Not many people are willing to wait for a nobody for three days... In addition, the suspension of updates will affect the recommendation. The book's performance was not good to begin with. If there is no recommendation, it is basically equivalent to a slow death.

So the author could only bite the bullet and continue writing, trying to find a way to make up for it later. The last volume made up for this flaw, but the time span was too long after all, more than a year, and the disappointed readers at that time had already left... I can only say that I tried my best.

Of course, in addition to this major flaw, this book may have other problems, especially in the middle and late stages, the plot may be rather bland.

But I can argue these issues.

Simply put, the author's personal ability is limited. If he wants to improve his performance, he can only rely on the recommendations given by the website to attract new readers. However, for books with many words and mediocre performance, the website gives very few recommendations. This book only had two recommendations in the later year, and one of them was a useless limited-time free. Without recommendations, the performance cannot be improved; if the performance cannot be improved, there will be no recommendations...

Therefore, starting from the middle period, the future of this book can be seen at a glance. Without motivation, it is easy for people to give up... Of course, the author did not really give up, but just changed the goal from "flying higher" to "landing smoothly."

I personally think that this ending can be considered a smooth landing.

Finally, let me talk about the comments. I did not delete any comments on this book. In fact, I stopped reading comments from the middle stage.

Bad reviews can affect my mood, especially for authors like me who don’t have an outline. It’s easy to be affected by reviews, which can lead to problems in writing. But this also means that I didn’t see some pertinent suggestions… I guess there are gains and losses.

But anyway, the book has been successfully completed. Next, I will take a look at the comments. You can also share any opinions or suggestions you have. I will learn from the experience and lessons for the next book.

Thanks again to all our readers for their support!

Our mountains and rivers remain unchanged and our waters flow forever. See you in the next book!
