From Hogwarts to Strixhaven

Chapter 29 Dumbledore's Summons

After the potions class, Harry was in a very bad mood.

In addition to Snape's almost humiliating questions in class, the whispered laughter of the Slytherin students kept pouring into Harry's ears.

He couldn't understand why Snape hated him.

"Don't worry." Ron said, "Snape often deducts points from Fred and George. The two points you lost are nothing. By the way, aren't we going to Hagrid's for tea later? Maybe we can invite Ivy."

Harry's invitation was ultimately unsuccessful. He almost heard Ivy say "OK", but Snape, like a big black bat, interrupted everything.

"I'm afraid Mr. Doom can't keep the appointment, Potter." Snape stared at Harry's face condescendingly, even when talking to Ivy, "Professor Dumbledore wants to see you, Mr. Doom. The password is Lemon Hard Candy, you know where to meet him."

So Ivy had to shrug his shoulders to express his regret, and said to Harry: "Thank you for your invitation, but I'm afraid I can't keep the appointment until next time."

"Oh...uh. It's okay, we were just chatting." Harry tried not to let himself be affected by Snape's eyes.

"Humph. If I were you, Mr. Potter, I would make good use of my spare time to read more books, in order to drive away the trivialities and dead flies in my mind, instead of "chatting." But it's not only Snape's eyes that can affect Harry, but also his words.

Fortunately, he left after saying these, without giving Harry the opportunity to make more mistakes.

"Honestly, is he always so vicious?" Harry watched Snape's black robe completely disappear behind the stairs, and then expressed his feelings.

Ivy nodded: "Perhaps it would be a bit bland to describe his mouth as sarcastic... But don't worry, he is a good man."

Harry and Ron were both skeptical about this, and then both expressed regret that Ivy could not keep the appointment, and then left the Slytherin dungeon with heavy steps.

Ivy shook his head as he looked at the backs of the two. Gryffindor was indeed prone to mental trauma in the potion class, and Harry was always covered by 200% firepower.

The four founders built Hogwarts tall and majestic. Although it looks impressive from the outside, it would be a bit of a drain on your legs if you live in it.

The principal's office is on the highest floor of the main tower, almost catching up with the astronomy tower on the other side.

This is a little challenge for Ivy, whose attributes related to physical fitness are not high.

But fortunately, in addition to being a wizard, he is also a mage.

The spell of running with big strides was tailor-made for traveling, so Ivy was able to cross the large and small stairs in Hogwarts at super fast speed and come to the oak door outside the headmaster's room.

Ivy knocked on the door knocker, and Dumbledore's voice came from inside: "It must be Mr. Doom, please come in!"

The headmaster's office was still the same, with shelves full of books, bottles and jars placed everywhere, glittering silverware in the glass cabinet, narrow-necked bottles spewing smoke, and an old man with a white beard sitting on a cushion.

Dumbledore was wearing a dark blue robe today, dotted with stars woven with gold thread, and the tip of the pointed wizard hat was draped softly on his shoulders.

"Welcome." Dumbledore extended his hand to invite Ivy to sit down. The chair looked very soft and could provide a good wrapping feeling for the buttocks sitting on it.

There was a small plate of candy on the table, which was yellow hard candy. Ivy guessed that this was the source of the password.

Dumbledore noticed Ivy's gaze and introduced the candy to him: "Lemon hard candy! I bought it from a Muggle store. But they don't seem to accept gold Galleons, so I had to use a little magic. There is jam filling inside, very delicious, don't you want some?"

Ivy reached out and picked up a candy and threw it into his mouth. It was sour and sweet, and it was really good.

Although he didn't know what Dumbledore wanted him to do, Ivy believed that he was upright and had nothing to fear, so he tasted the candy in his mouth with peace of mind.

You know, he has been a good student who abides by the law since he entered school, and he didn't even use a single dark magic, just out of respect for Dumbledore.

"Mr. Doom, I wonder what you think of Muggles and their society?" Dumbledore cast an inquiring look.

So this is the "main course"? It seems that Voldemort is indeed down and out of his wits, not even good enough to be on the table.

Ivy complained in his heart, but there was no expression on his face. Instead, he answered Dumbledore's question after thinking for a while.

"Before I became a student at Hogwarts, I was a Muggle. And the Muggle society at that time was not as safe and peaceful as it is now."

"In my opinion, Muggles are no different from wizards except that they can't wave a small wooden stick and release some sparks. They are even more creative than wizards. The Muggle society more than a hundred years ago is incomparable to today. It is a luxury for many people to fill their stomachs. Disease and hunger threaten many people's lives. But now, the city is expanding, transportation is convenient, and lights are bright everywhere. It is much better than more than a hundred years ago!"

No mistake, one song, one post, one content, one 6, one book, one bar, one look!

"On the contrary, the British wizarding world is no different from more than a hundred years ago. At least I didn't encounter any resistance to integration."

Dumbledore nodded. He was over a hundred years old, and he would see and hear more than Ivy. After all, he had not been sealed in the crystal for more than a hundred years because of a magic accident.

"But I heard that you had some conflicts with your classmates?" Dumbledore asked. After Madam Pomfrey's miraculous recovery, the Slytherin students who were hospitalized were basically discharged on the second day, and the worst ones were all well on the third day.

"Oh! That's exactly what I want to say." Ivy threw another candy into her mouth, "When did the Slytherin atmosphere become so conservative? Pure blood theory? It's really going backwards. When I was in school, there was no such serious discrimination against blood. And I held back, it was a formal duel."

Ivy had actually felt that Dumbledore was peeking into his thoughts through eye contact, but this was useless to the master of dark magic. He was sure that he had not revealed any flaws at all.

In fact, Ivy's mentality had completely changed as early as after he discovered his own golden finger to destroy the magic book.

When he was first freed from the crystal, he thought that he must not leave Hogwarts, so he showed weakness in the battle with Dumbledore.

Later, when he found his name written on the admission book, his mentality changed for the first time and he began to be less cautious.

After completely reviewing the Destruction Grimoire in the Leaky Cauldron and discovering his character panel, Ivy decided to let go and do whatever he wanted.

He is the leading master of dark magic, and he has already shown goodwill to Dumbledore. As long as Ivy does not jump back and forth on Dumbledore's minefield, I believe Dumbledore will still make the elimination of Voldemort his primary goal.
