From Hogwarts to Strixhaven
Chapter 44 Fire ball!
Smelling the aroma of roasted pumpkin that permeated the entire castle, Hermione asked unwillingly: "Do we have to go find Professor Quirrell's holiday surprise, Ivy?"
"Of course." Ivy didn't even turn his head back, and he would look carefully at every corner of the corridor.
"But that's Professor Quirrell." Hermione hugged the elemental orb in her arms. Because she was not good at dealing with flying brooms, she had no way to deal with the elemental orb that had the same principle as the flying broom, and she couldn't control it as freely as Ivy to spin around herself.
Seeing Ivy turn her head, Hermione continued to explain: "Although discussing professors behind their backs is not what students should do, Professor Quirrell is indeed quite harmless. It would be great if he could prepare some "surprises" in Defense Against the Dark Arts."
It seems that Quirrell's disguise is very successful. At least these first-year wizards didn't figure out his true identity.
"Don't worry." Ivy said comfortingly, "I've told the kitchen to leave some food for us. At least I can guarantee that you won't fall asleep hungry."
"Okay." Hermione replied listlessly, and looked back at the noise behind her. She knew that was the direction of the auditorium. Just like the opening party, it should have been decorated to match Halloween.
But now, she could only see cold walls and empty picture frames. Even the portraits had gathered together for the party.
Walking in the empty corridor made Hermione feel a bit like coming to another place isolated from the world.
Maybe she should find a place to cry properly, instead of following Ivy in the corridor to find some Halloween surprises...
Hermione secretly glanced at Ivy, and that handsome face really relieved her mood a lot.
It's not bad now. I don't have no friends! Ivy will help! To be honest, he is indeed a charming person...
Hermione was a little indignant and a little happy.
But he is a Slytherin, maybe he can do some dark magic... Oh, I have to stop him before he becomes a dark wizard, this is for my friends!
The little witch's emotions are like a roller coaster, and she doesn't know where to go in a moment. She followed Ivy step by step, but her mind was full of various thoughts.
I don't know when, the sweet smell that has been surrounding the castle disappeared, replaced by an indescribable stench, like my father's stinky socks and an uncleaned public toilet mixed together.
"Uh... Is there a toilet leaking?" Hermione looked around and chose a more elegant way of saying it.
"This means we found the right one." Ivy said.
"What?" Hermione pinched her nose with her hand, "This is Professor Quirrell's surprise? He is at least a professor, he shouldn't be playing with big dung balls in the corridor like Fred and George!"
"Oh." Ivy cast a bubble head spell on both of them to block the stench, "I'm afraid it's not an ordinary dung ball, but a moving shit mountain."
Hermione obviously didn't understand, but still showed a very horrified expression.
Ivy pushed her with her hand and let her turn the next corner alone.
The scene in front of her made her take a deep breath. A monster like a small mountain was standing in the middle of the corridor.
It was twelve feet tall, with dull skin, as gray as granite, and a huge and stupid body like a pile of huge gravel, with a small head like a cocoa bean on top. Its short legs were as thick as tree stumps, and below were flat, rough and calloused feet. It also held a thick wooden stick in its hand, and because its arms were so long, the stick was dragging on the ground.
"Troll! Professor Quirrell's Halloween surprise is a troll!" Hermione turned back in horror, only to find that Ivy had already disappeared.
"Bang!" A bunch of sparks exploded in the middle of the corridor, attracting the attention of the only two creatures in the corridor.
Hermione swallowed hard, preparing for the scream that might come at any time.
The troll turned awkwardly and met the eyes of the stiff little witch.
"Ah--" Hermione screamed desperately, and the sound waves caused the bubbles covering her head to vibrate irregularly, and then disappeared with a "pop".
"Ugh--vomit..." The intense stench blocked Hermione's scream back into her stomach, and she bent down and retched in embarrassment.
The high-frequency scream and the echo produced by the corridor wall undoubtedly angered the stupid troll, and it dragged its clumsy feet and waved the wooden stick in its hand to charge at Hermione.
The wooden stick collided with the wall, and the broken stones and wall paint scattered all over the ground, but these movements also made Hermione realize that she was in a very dangerous situation.
She had just raised her head, and the gray troll was already close at hand.
Without thinking, Hermione raised the fire elemental orb in her hand and shouted with all her strength: "Fire ball!!!"
A huge fireball flew out of the elemental orb and collided with the troll in front of her.
The fierce flames were followed by the explosion shock wave. The whole corridor was first ignited, and then extinguished by the flying flesh and blood of the troll. There were all kinds of miserable, charred flesh and blood everywhere. The picture frames and wall paint became a complete mess, and even the metal armor at the end of the corridor became scattered.
No mistakes in one song, one post, one content, one 6, one book, one bar, one look!
Hermione was also thrown far away and fell to the ground with a "bang".
She blinked her eyes and got up from the ground. She was surprised to find that she had no injuries at all, not even a hair was burnt, except that her nose was attacked by the troll's body odor. However, in the flames, the troll's stench turned into the scorched stench of the corpse.
Looking at the messy corridor, she couldn't close her jaw for a long time.
The elemental orb in her hand had lost its red warm light and turned into a dark crystal ball. Hermione held it in front of her eyes and realized after a while that the culprit of everything was this harmless crystal ball.
"Ivy!" Hermione screamed.
"At your service, ma'am." Ivy pretended to give a knight's salute and reappeared in front of her.
"Look at what you have done!" Hermione looked like a lioness.
"No, I want to correct you. This is your 'good deed'." Ivy took the lost elemental orb from her hand and corrected with a smile, "The professors are coming soon, think about how to face them."
"This is against school rules!" Hermione persisted, but Ivy had disappeared again.
"Okay! Miss Granger!" This was Professor McGonagall's voice. Hermione had never seen her so angry. The cold voice came out from her pale lips, "You actually knew that this was against school rules!"
A fireball spell is 8d6 damage. The orb can store 7 rounds. If all are released at once, each additional round will increase the damage by 1d6. Ivy used one round in the Black Lake, so Hermione dealt a total of 13d6 damage. In the DND world view, an ogre has 59 health points and a troll has 84 points. Although the English words for troll and giant monster are both Troll, it is obvious that the giant monster is much weaker. It is similar to the ogre, just as stupid, ugly, and smelly. So its health should be not much different from that of the ogre. Hermione's 13d6 fireball killed it instantly.
