From Hogwarts to Strixhaven
Chapter 64: Fountain of Good Luck
Unlike what Ivy had imagined, the welcome dinner of the Malfoy family was mainly French food. It seems that even the Malfoy family, who claim to be a noble family, will not really use British food to entertain guests.
Similar to Hogwarts, the Malfoy family also uses golden tableware on the table, and there are all kinds of exquisite and beautiful dishes on the table.
Including lamb chops fried into pink, the aroma of basil and black pepper is appetizing under the stimulation of butter.
Rich cream seafood soup, some dried vegetable pieces floating on the mellow white soup, many shellfish that Ivy can't name also reveal their juicy meat in the milky white soup, just looking at it, you can tell that it is absolutely amazing.
There are also cold food platters composed of cheese and bacon, steaming fruit pies that are just out of the pot, and various toasts with charming aromas, and so on.
It can be seen that the house elves of the Malfoy family really put a lot of effort into today's banquet.
Although the dishes served were all French, there was no complicated order of serving dishes like in a French banquet. Everyone (only four people) could take whatever dishes they liked.
However, the desserts after the meal were mainly British, full of various sweet jam puddings, ice cream and small cakes.
During the meal, Malfoy kept looking for topics, and Ivy would also chime in. The two talked about the duel after the opening banquet, the Quidditch match before the Christmas holiday, and finally the flying broom that Malfoy had been thinking about.
During the period, the Lucius couple only responded when Malfoy asked them about their opinions. Most of the time, they just silently stuffed the dishes in front of them into their mouths, and I don’t know what they were worried about.
However, all this was a great encouragement in Malfoy’s eyes. He even thought that his parents gave him the right to lead the social topics of the banquet, which not only showed considerable pride, but even seemed a bit too much in Ivy’s opinion.
"Speaking of flying brooms, the products of the Nimbus Racing Broom Company are indeed the best. Even Potter, the scarred head, can beat Slytherin on a Nimbus 2000. If Ivy hadn't joined the Quidditch team, I'm afraid he would have been proud of it."
While Malfoy belittled his opponent, he also did not forget to secretly praise Ivy. It seems that the education of nobles is different. At least when Harry and Ron copied Ivy's Transfiguration homework, they couldn't flatter him so naturally.
"Speaking of which, Dad." Malfoy looked at his father, "I remember you had correspondence with Mr. Devlin Whitehorn of the Nimbus Company. Did he mention the new Nimbus broom? Can I have one? Ivy is also very interested in these. He can also make a model of a flying and fire-breathing dragon!"
Lucius frowned. He didn't know whether his son's words were due to the bizarre delusion of a minor or Ivy's secret instruction, so he was not sure how to answer.
But Malfoy didn't let him down. He then turned to Ivy and said, "Ivy! Can my dad see your little dragon? Have you named it? Although it's small and exquisite, it deserves a majestic name!"
You see, this is where Ivy said he was pushing it too far.
But Ivy didn't bother with a child. He put down the ice cream with raspberry jam in his hand and summoned the Destruction Grimoire in a golden light.
The antique pages of the book turned automatically without wind, and soon turned to the page with the little dragon.
In the surprised eyes of the three Malfoys, the black and gold little dragon that originally existed in the pattern on the page struggled to stretch out a claw from the page, then the other, and then the two claws exerted force together, and the ferocious dragon head horn drilled out of the pattern.
Accompanied by a long howl, the little fire dragon flew around the banquet table and spit out flames one after another.
After a few weeks of circling the field, the dragon seemed to feel tired. After a while of gliding, it landed back next to Ivy's hand and fell asleep on his fingers.
"Oh--" Malfoy held his cheek and sighed in ecstasy and satisfaction. He really liked this little dragon.
"Is this... some kind of alchemical creation? Or some new type of artificial life? Mr. Doom?" Lucius couldn't help asking. As a person who was keen on collecting black magic items, he had never seen such a vivid model dragon.
"This is a ceramic statue." Ivy said softly, "I used the Activation Spell to make it move like a real dragon."
"Then you must have something in common with Mr. Whitehorn of the Nimbus Company. I intend to invite him to the family banquet held at Christmas. What do you think?" Lucius considered the words and carefully asked Ivy's opinion.
"I am just a guest of the Malfoy family. You have the final say in this manor, Mr. Malfoy." Ivy did not seem to have the slightest intention of usurping the throne, but apart from Malfoy, Lucius and Narcissa knew that was not the truth.
"After all, you are the first visitor to visit this manor during this holiday. It would be bad if my presumptuous invitation disturbed your interest." Lucius' words showed good upbringing. "Since you have no objection, I will send an invitation to Mr. Whitehorn soon."
"Draco," Narcissa, who had been silent at the table, suddenly called her son's name, "You must have some toys you want to show Mr. Doom, right? How about we go and find them together?"
No mistakes, just read it in the 6-9 book forum!
"What? Mom?" Malfoy looked a little puzzled, but he soon showed a look of self-righteousness, "Ah-of course! You'll be amazed, Ivy!"
When he followed Narcissa out of the banquet hall, he leaned over and whispered to Ivy: "It must be the reward we agreed on before. I will pick a few of the best collections of the Malfoy family!"
The mother and son walked out of the banquet hall. This place, which was still filled with the aroma of food, began to become dull. Only the "click" sound of Ivy's nails scratching the dragon's scales could be heard.
"I wonder if you have heard the story of the Fountain of Good Luck?" After an unknown amount of time, Lucius' voice sounded faintly.
However, before Ivy could answer, Lucius continued to speak with determination: "Dumbledore and I have some... different views on this story. As a member of the Hogwarts Board of Directors, I think that the senile Dumbledore should not continue to stay in that position..."
"Heh~" Ivy couldn't help but let out a sneer with his nose, "Remember the motto of Hogwarts? 'Don't tickle the sleeping dragon (Do not disturb the sleeping dragon)'."
