The annual "company" summary meeting of the Buddhist sect lasted for a whole day, and Lin Jichen was drowsy.

But fortunately, the summary meeting was over, and the "year-end bonuses" of each branch were settled. All the Buddhist practitioners who received the bonuses were smiling and obviously very happy.

After the annual meeting, Lin Jichen thought that the other side would start discussing the punishment of Jingyi Shenni, but to his disappointment, the next part was the Buddhist Dharma discussion.

That is, the three monks and one nun sitting on the high platform in the center began to explain the Dharma to the Buddhist practitioners below.

"All dharmas arise from causes and conditions, and all dharmas perish from causes and conditions. This is what the Buddha, the great monk, always says."

"Where there is a cause, there must be a result. Before becoming a Buddha, you must first make good connections."

"Anger is the root of all evil, and tolerance is the head of all blessings."

"The sea of suffering is endless, turn back and you will be a shore. Put down the butcher knife and become a Buddha right away."

...

The four Buddhist giants began to teach the Dharma to their disciples, and everyone listened attentively.

They listened obsessively like green buds longing for rain and dew, not daring to miss a word.

Only Lin Jichen, who pretended to be a monk, felt bored and spent his days like years.

But in order to prevent being discovered, he pretended to be as serious as everyone else.

He thought that as long as he had good acting skills, he could get away with it.

However, the good times did not last long. He did not expect that the four people were still not satisfied after talking for a long time, and directly entered the role of "teacher" and began to conduct random checks and questioning of the disciples below.

After Lin Jichen found out, he couldn't help but feel nervous, and quickly lowered his head, fearing that his name would be called.

But then he thought about it, based on his rich experience in class when he was studying, the more timid and evasive the students were, the more likely they would attract the teacher's attention!

So Lin Jichen immediately changed his strategy, raised his head and chest, and his eyes were full of confidence, and he almost wrote the words "I am a top student and I am not afraid" on his forehead.

Sure enough, the four Buddhist masters checked several times, and Lin Jichen avoided them safely.

Just when he was secretly proud of himself and thought he had gotten away with it, the skinny white-bearded old monk sitting in the middle happened to look over here.

Lin Jichen was determined not to be timid, his eyes were sincere, and his face was harmless and motionless.

But what he never expected was that the monk originally wanted to call Shengyuan, and Shengyuan also wanted to stand up with anticipation.

However, the monk glanced and found Lin Jichen sitting on the next floor.

After seeing Lin Jichen, the monk's eyes lit up, and he also noticed his broken arm, and he immediately became interested.

"This young monk, which temple are you from?"

Lin Jichen was shocked by the monk's words. He looked around and finally looked at the other party with a suspicious look.

The monk smiled and nodded: "Yes, I am asking you."

Lin Jichen felt cold in his heart, thinking that it was bad, why did he point to him again?

He stood up and his mind was working fast to think about how to answer.

All the Buddhists in the Eight Desolations gathered here. If he said any of them, he would be found to be lying immediately, so he definitely couldn't answer directly.

Lin Jichen suddenly had an idea, pretending to be calm and looking at the monk, and replied calmly: "I am from Buddhism. Any temple in the world is a Buddhist temple. They are the same to me. Why should the abbot stick to one?"

After saying this, the scene suddenly became quiet.

All the Buddhist practitioners looked at him in unison, shocked, surprised, admired, dissatisfied, etc.

The reason is simple. All the other juniors who were named were respectful to the four big guys. Whatever the big guys said was what they said. How dare they, as juniors, refute.

Any word from the big guys could be an opportunity for them, and it was a weathervane to guide your progress in Taoism, so who would refute it?

But this kid was different. He didn't take the usual path when he came up. Not only did he not answer the big guys' questions, but he also gave them a counter-education. This was incredible.

In short, Lin Jichen's words have become the focus of the whole audience.

Lin Jichen knew it himself, but he knew that if he didn't say it, his identity would be exposed, so he could only try his best.

After hearing Lin Jichen's words, the white-bearded monk was not angry, but nodded with approval, and said with a smile: "You are right, it is my negligence."

After the monk finished speaking, he began to ask Lin Jichen a question, saying: "What do you think is Buddha?"

Lin Jichen was silent, and the disciples present also fell into thought.

The monk smiled and said to everyone: "If there are disciples who want to say something, just speak up and speak freely."

As soon as the voice fell, Shengyuan stood up confidently and replied to the monk: "Disciples believe that those who save people are Buddhas! Our Buddhist sect emphasizes saving all living beings and saving people in danger. Saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda, so disciples believe that those who save people are Buddhas!"

ThisAs soon as the whole hall cheered, everyone nodded in agreement.

However, only the monk did not approve, but smiled and said: "Although your answer is not bad, it is not the real answer. Borrowing what this little monk said just now, it is too rigid and one-sided, which is not the truth."

Shengyuan was stunned when he heard the words. Although he was a little unwilling, he still bowed humbly and then sat back down.

The monk asked other disciples again, and many disciples stood up and said their answers.

Some said that those who are profound in Buddhism are Buddhas, some said that those who are compassionate are Buddhas, and some said that those who do good deeds and accumulate virtues are Buddhas, etc.

Everyone's answers were varied and expressed their own opinions.

But the monks were not satisfied and shook their heads.

Finally, seeing that no one answered, he set his eyes on Lin Jichen again.

"Do you have an answer?"

Lin Jichen didn't want to answer at first, but seeing that he seemed very interested in him and wanted to get to the bottom of it, he could only choose to answer.

He pondered for a moment, then replied loudly: "I think that all living beings are Buddhas!"

"Oh?"

The monk obviously didn't expect Lin Jichen to have this answer, and immediately became interested and asked: "Why?"

Before Lin Jichen answered, Shengyuan stood up and refuted: "Disciple thinks this statement is wrong. If all living beings are Buddhas, doesn't that mean those evil cultivators are also Buddhas?"

"That's right."

"Nonsense, if all living beings are Buddhas, then what are we?"

"He must have answered casually, he doesn't understand at all."

"Haha, it's ridiculous."

...

Everyone talked about it, and they all said that Lin Jichen's words were completely wrong and even ridiculous!

However, Lin Jichen was not afraid of the stage. He raised his lips and replied: "Buddha has no form. All living beings are Buddhas. Those who have Buddha in their hearts have Buddha enlightenment. Therefore, all living beings in the world can become Buddhas, as long as they are devoted to Buddha!"

After Lin Jichen finished speaking, the whole audience fell silent again.

Only the white-bearded monk laughed loudly, and the laughter seemed particularly abrupt in this golden palace.
