Fusion is the noblest form of summoning!
#432 - X-Dimension Pass
Tenjoin Hikari and Kaiser had a private chat about the No. cards.
There were two things Tenjoin Hikari hadn't been completely sure about before.
The first was how Kaiser had obtained the Photon device.
This wasn't something you could just get anywhere; at the very least, it was a technological crystallization from the X-Dimension Tenjoin family, a terrifying scientific machine capable of stopping time.
But precisely because it wasn't something easily obtained, Tenjoin Hikari hesitated, unsure how to ask Kaiser.
What if it was given to him by Professor Fika or someone else? The implications behind that would be incredibly complex.
Secondly, Tenjoin Hikari didn't know how many No. cards Kaiser in his previous state could handle. After all, Kaiser was Kaiser, not Tenjoin Kaito or Kamishiro Ryoga. What was his upper limit for withstanding the power of the No. cards? He had no idea!
There was nothing like this in the A5 original series. Kaiser didn't even appear; it was Ed and Asuka who showed up.
Unsure of these things, Tenjoin Hikari naturally had to observe first.
Now, with Fubuki's help, Kaiser had actually created the Cyberdark Dragon and seemed to no longer need the electric shock resistance medicine. Tenjoin Hikari figured this was a good opportunity to have an open and honest conversation with Kaiser about these matters.
After talking, he learned that the "Photon device" Kaiser had was indeed given to him by Tenjoin Kaito.
However, Tenjoin Kaito didn't give it to him purely out of interdimensional friendship; they had made a deal.
Kaiser, as a Number Hunter from the Fusion Dimension, would help him collect No. cards and periodically give him the cards in the Next Town.
In return, Tenjoin Kaito would provide Kaiser with the Photon device, allowing him to use Xyz Summoning normally in other dimensions. Tenjoin Kaito even gave him some other support cards.
For example, Kaito directly gifted him three Galaxy Knights.
But Kaiser thought this card was just okay, feeling it wasn't as good as the Cyber World Serpent he got from the Cyber Style deck, so he didn't include it.
Tenjoin Hikari mused that while the Cyber World Serpent's card efficiency might not seem very high, it seemed to be much higher than the Galaxy Knight in the Cyber Style deck.
But the Cyber World Serpent could only jump out if the opponent had a monster on the field, and it couldn't be used on the first turn. If Kaiser ever obtained Cyber Dragon Infinity, then he might still have to consider the Galaxy Knight.
Incidentally, Kaiser also brought up the issue of Tenjoin Kaito and Tenjoin Hikari sharing the same surname. The surname Tenjoin was quite rare, and it was quite a coincidence to encounter people with the same surname in two dimensions.
Following this train of thought, Kaiser then mentioned the details of his cooperation with Tenjoin Kaito.
Tenjoin Kaito's cooperation with him was purely work-related. Tenjoin Kaito seemed to care a lot about the No. cards, so after realizing that No. cards might also be born in other dimensions, he seemed quite agitated. Then, after communicating with him for a while, he had the artificial intelligence robot next to him set the basic terms.
In short, in addition to the Photon system used to help Kaiser, he would exchange corresponding cards for every No. card Kaiser collected.
"No. 85 and No. 24, two Number cards. As expected of you, Hikari," Kaiser said, looking at the Number cards in his hand with admiration.
He had only collected one Number card during this time, but he didn't expect Tenjoin Hikari to have obtained two.
"Actually, Tenjoin Kaito also gave me something else." He thought for a moment, reached into his pocket, and took out something that looked like an invitation.
"It's said to be a pass to the Heart Land in the X-Dimension," Kaiser said to Tenjoin Hikari as he recalled. "You know, we have this collaborative artificial dimension with the X-Dimension, Next Town.
And beyond that, Next Town actually has special dimensional gates leading to two dimensions.
It seems that as long as you get permission, you can get the opportunity to go to that dimension."
"He seems very busy and doesn't know how often he can go to Next Town, so he specifically gave me a few of these, saying that if I want to continue advancing Xyz Summoning, I can go to their dimension."
"I think you probably need this right now, right?"
Tenjoin Hikari took the pass and looked at the words on it.
"....Hmm."
"Because the Fusion Army's attack on Heart Land failed, the relationship between the X-Dimension and our dimension has a huge rift. Although I can still cooperate with Tenjoin Kaito, others may not be so easy.
The Xyz Dimension may also have strange Fusion Monsters, or perhaps strange Fusion Cards, but no matter what,
one thing is certain. If it's you, you will definitely want to go to the Xyz Dimension to deal with the Fusion Army, right? After all, there seem to be many lost spirits there."
Tenjoin Hikari nodded gently.
What Kaiser said was exactly what Tenjoin Hikari had been considering.
Because the Fusion Army's blitz on the X-Dimension failed, in order to withdraw their main force, they abandoned a large number of spirits they controlled, such as the Frightfur, in the X-Dimension to cover their retreat. Some of these may be spirits like the Frightfur who cooperated with the Fusion Army, but some must also include spirits like the Odd-Eyes, who were forcibly controlled by the Fusion Army.
However, unlike the S-Dimension, which he had the opportunity to go to because of the Duel Dragons,
Tenjoin Hikari had no way to go to the X-Dimension because they not only possessed dimensional technology, but more importantly, they could even isolate and protect their own dimension. In this respect, the X-Dimension was even further ahead than the Kaiba Corporation.
Therefore, Tenjoin Hikari could only wait.
Now that Kaiser had this, Tenjoin Hikari would finally have the opportunity to go to the X-Dimension when he was free later.
"Heh, if there are no accidents, I should also go to the X-Dimension after the competition," Kaiser said after giving Tenjoin Hikari a pass. "The duel with Fubuki, it's been so long——
But the evolution of dueling and Cyber Dragons is infinite. Perhaps I should learn from you, go on adventures in all dimensions, and learn more duels to improve the Cyber Dragon—just like you improve Fusion."
"Dueling, ideals, everything must be conducted and evolved in duels. Even the thoughts and beliefs that I thought had reached their limit may not have reached the limit at all, just like your ultimate fusion, but fusion has no ultimate—absolute? Hahahaha——"
Kaiser laughed, tilting his head back.
"Even if you praise me, I won't let you win in the finals," Tenjoin Hikari said with a light smile, casually.
Kaiser was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but laugh loudly: "Hahahaha, you too, Hikari. The current me is infinitely evolving. Don't lose on the way to seeing me——then see you in the semi-finals, Hikari."
