Green Monster Epic
#144 - A big win
The six hyena-men quickly fell to the ground, their bodies twitching slowly on the sand, gurgling sounds and blood bubbles occasionally emerging from their mouths.
Allen and Flower Snake could be said to have been waiting for an easy opportunity. Facing six hyena-men who had neither advanced nor recovered their stamina, despite being outnumbered, the difference in strength was evident. It only took a small portion of magical time for these six hyena-men to become冤魂beneath Allen and Flower Snake's hands.
On the other side, Boban and Nathan were still entangled in battle, their fighting looking spectacular and sounding intense. However, in reality, most of their moves were deformed, and there was a sense of powerlessness, a lingering effect of the half-day chase.
Nathan took a moment to glance at the battlefield next door, seeing Allen and Flower Snake sitting with interest on the blood-stained sand, watching his fight with Boban. Nathan's heart almost leaped out of his chest, and he was dumbfounded. He never imagined that the two green skins opposite him were so powerful that they easily took care of his confidants.
You must know that each of his six confidant hyena-men was at the peak of level 7 or above, half of them having broken through to level 8. Even an advanced being like himself could only flee when faced with their siege, their strength certainly not inferior to an advanced being.
Nathan's distraction made his moves somewhat sluggish, and Boban immediately seized the opportunity. A powerful hammer blow contained the energy and anger that Boban had accumulated for a long time, instantly knocking away Nathan's spiked club. With his defenses wide open, Boban gave Nathan no chance to recover, plunging forward into the terrified face of his opponent, his empty left hand delivering an uppercut to the other's jaw, sending Nathan's wolf head straight into the sky.
Before Nathan's feet could land, Boban raised the spiked club in his right hand high again, then placed his left hand, which had just delivered a heavy punch, on the back of his right hand, delivering another heavy blow, smashing directly onto Nathan's wolf head, which had not yet regained its balance. One of Nathan's wolf eyes was smashed out by Boban, hanging on Nathan's gradually dimming face.
Still not appeased, Boban, having smashed Nathan's face, swung the spiked club again, continuing the previous ruthless smashing action, until he had smashed Nathan's wolf head into pieces. Only then did he finally vent the anger he had held in his heart for a long time, stopping with a gasp. However, even after stopping the movement of his hands, Boban's feet did not stop, constantly stomping, tentatively probing the remains of Nathan, who was no longer moving under the ground, not knowing whether he was expecting him to climb up again or worried about him feigning death!
"Congratulations, Chief Boban?"
Allen smiled and walked towards Boban, the ultimate victor, then jokingly asked.
"Hmph, that kid was just unlucky!!"
The ferocity in Boban's eyes had not dissipated, and he glared at the corpse on the ground with lingering anger, not paying much attention to Allen's joke. Speaking of which, Boban had now avenged his great revenge, which should have been a very happy thing, but for some reason, Boban felt somewhat empty at this time, finding it difficult to think about what to do next.
"It's a pity that you were a bit too heavy-handed, failing to leave the hyena-man's body intact. When you drag his corpse back to the tribe later, I'm afraid your people won't necessarily listen to you!"
Flower Snake had already begun to sit aside and clean up the mess, collecting the ironware on the ground one by one, preparing capital for replacing his long sword in the future. Allen looked at the headless corpse on the ground with regret, shaking his head and saying to Boban.
"It doesn't matter whether they listen or not. Nathan's faction has been wiped out by you. Now I just need to drag his corpse back to the village and shout, and the villagers without a backbone will naturally know how to choose." Even if they can't be sure whether the corpse is Nathan himself, as long as no one can oppose me, the position of chief will be mine.
"Then does this count as me completing what I promised you before?"
Allen looked at the hyena-man in front of him with a meaningful look.
"…Well, I guess."
Although he didn't want to admit this fact, Boban, with his upright personality, still felt that without the participation of Allen and the others, it would have been impossible for him to complete the duel with Nathan under the protection of many hyena-man guards.
"Then I would like to ask, after you become the chief, how do you view the relationship between our two races?"
"From now on, there will be no more involvement between our two groups, and I will restrain my tribesmen, keeping them away from your territory."
Hearing Allen's question, although Boban's brain wasn't very clever, he still understood the meaning in Allen's words and immediately made a statement. According to his personality, being able to make such a gesture to Allen was already a rare bow of his head.
"Then how do you plan to deal with the Kobolds to your north? This guy has a relationship with the Kobolds. If they know you killed him, they might not let your tribe go!"
Allen pouted, pointed to the corpse on the ground, and continued to ask.
"…Hmph, if they dare to come, I will kill them all. I haven't settled the previous score with them yet! After I subdue the people in the tribe, I will settle this account with them."
Boban was silent for a moment, then expressed his fierce attitude with a stern expression, but even in his heart, he had no confidence. The power of the Bonecrushers had shrouded the Greenwild Plains for too many years. Ordinary small tribes might not know the name of the Bonecrushers, but tribes like Boban's, which once had a population of over a hundred and were their neighbors, how could they not know the power of the Bonecrushers?
Even the former patriarch of the Ivan Tribe was seriously injured by the Bonecrushers and then passed away.
"Why don't our two tribes unite? The Bonecrusher Tribe has been rampant in the Greenwild Plains for so many years, it's time to let them restrain their power."
Allen tempted Boban with earnest persuasion, but seeing Boban looking at him with a foolish look, he was somewhat embarrassed: "Don't underestimate me, I have personally fought with the Bonecrushers. Although I can't kill him, his magic didn't kill me either. Now our Greenwild Tribe and the Bonecrusher Tribe have reached an agreement of peaceful coexistence, do you want me to go back to the tribe and show it to you?"
"That's not necessary, it's not that I don't trust you."
Boban had a look of disgust on his face, but his words were still pleasant.
"But it's still not necessary, there is no tradition in my hyena-man clan to join hands with outsiders. If one day my clan can't defeat the Bonecrusher Tribe, then it's fate."
"If we join hands, we can exchange what we have, our tribe doesn't have much else, but we have more than enough food…"
"No need…"
