Chapter 64: Information Aggregation

The scene shifts back to the point in time when Allen and the others had just left Thorn Fort, inside the not-so-luxurious wooden house of Bone Breaker, the actual ruler of the Shattered Bone Tribe.

Night.Bone, his face covered with the dust of the road, didn't even notice the dirt on his body as he knocked on the door in front of Bone Breaker's wooden house. After receiving Bone Breaker's response, he raised his hand, pushed open the wooden door, and hurried inside.

"You've worked hard, my child."

Bone Breaker always had a faint smile on his face when facing the younger generation of the tribe, especially Night, a junior he valued, which made him look at him with special regard.

"It was not hard work, Elder."

The journey in the wilderness was indeed arduous, and he encountered several dangerous situations along the way. Fortunately, he possessed the skill of Shadow Stealth, which not only saved his life but also provided him with some training. Night even vaguely felt that he had touched the threshold of advancement.

"Did you gain anything?"

Bone Breaker carefully examined Night from head to toe. Seeing that he had no exposed injuries, he brought the topic back to the main subject and asked.

"Elder, I've traveled all around the area within two hundred miles of our tribe and found no existence that could threaten our tribe."

Faced with the inquiry, Night also responded seriously, answering with some confusion.

"I didn't find any trace of Wolf Fang Chieftain and the others either, as if they had simply disappeared."

"You don't need to worry about the affairs of Wolf Fang and the others anymore. Tell me in detail, how many tribes did you discover along the way? Are there any Kobold tribes among them?"

Two months had passed since Wolf Fang and the others disappeared. Even if there were any survivors, they should have returned to the tribe to report. Knowing the law of survival in the wilderness, Bone Breaker had already regarded this once-hopeful junior as dead. Now, what he needed to worry about more was the response to be made after the tribe lost Wolf Fang and their powerful force.

"Along the way, I discovered about a dozen tribes, mostly Gnolls, and then there were a few small Goblin families. As for the Kobold tribes, I only saw one small family of six to seven people, located on the edge of the northwest direction of our tribe, two hundred miles away, separated by two Gnoll tribes…"

Night carefully recalled, recounting the tribes he had encountered along the way one by one. There were many pauses in between, as he had forgotten many details and needed to recall them slowly.

Under the leadership of Bone Breaker, the Shattered Bone Tribe possessed some scattered inherited knowledge, but it was clear that they still lacked much valuable knowledge, such as writing. Night's arduous reconnaissance along the way yielded a lot, but in order to remember the information he obtained, he really wasted a lot of brain cells.

"It seems that no tribe will be able to threaten the survival of our tribe in the short term, which is very good."

Bone Breaker nodded, and the gloom in his heart dissipated a lot. Nothing was more important than the tribe he had run for a lifetime and put all his energy into.

"That's right, even if we lost the warrior team of Wolf Fang Chieftain and the others, it is not something that ordinary tribes can covet and challenge."

Night had grown up in the tribe all his life and had never seen anything more powerful than the tribe. Therefore, he had a strong sense of belonging and confidence in the tribe. Especially after this reconnaissance mission for nearly two months, he secretly spied on many tribes, but looking at their poor living environment and comparing it with the life in the tribe, it was simply a world of difference, which made Night feel even more disdain for other tribes.

"That's what you say, but the disappearance of Wolf Fang and the others is still a considerable blow to the tribe."

Intending to cultivate Night as his successor, Bone Breaker didn't hide anything, but slowly began to guide him to look at problems from a higher perspective.

"Have you noticed any changes in the tribe?"

"This… I don't think there's anything different from usual?"

Night perked up his ears, listening to the movements coming from outside the house. At this time, the sun was shining brightly, and the shouts and scuffles of children were heard from time to time in the tribe, and everything seemed very peaceful.

"Alas, you haven't stayed in the tribe for long. If you stay longer, you will naturally discover the changes."

Bone Breaker shook his head, perhaps a little disappointed in his heart, but he didn't show it, and slowly explained to Night.

"Since Wolf Fang and the others disappeared, the adults in the tribe have become less normal. Although everyone still looks calm, except for those families who have lost their loved ones who have a bit of sadness on their faces. But in fact, everyone still has a feeling of unease in their hearts, but they just didn't dare to show it in front of me."

"Of course, our tribe has lost half of its strong warriors all of a sudden, and anyone would be panicked. But since I sent you out to investigate and found nothing, and no strong people have come out to strangle my tribe in the past two months, then it means that the disappearance of Wolf Fang and the others may really just be a coincidence."

"Oh…"

Although Bone Breaker gave a hint, Night's expression was disapproving, and he felt that the tribesmen were too timid.

"Since the tribesmen are uneasy, then we need to find a way to reassure the tribesmen. What do you think we should do at this time to reassure the tribesmen?"

Since he decided to cultivate Night, Bone Breaker began to act at this time. His age is considered to be half a foot into the grave among the Kobolds. He has lost the chance to take another step into the legend and obtain the improvement in the essence of life, which means that the future days are one day less. Bone Breaker can't help but feel anxious in his heart.

Night buried his head in his chest, his mind racing, trying to find the answer. Suddenly, a thought came to him, his eyes lit up, and he obviously had an answer in his heart.

"Let's find a target tribe, put the blame for the disappearance of the chieftain and the others on their heads, and then take the tribesmen together and wash this tribe with blood!!"

If Night had disappointed him before, then Night at this time filled Bone Breaker with gratification. Now it seems that Night's wisdom is unmatched among the tribesmen.

Of course, sending him out to investigate the surrounding tribes was also a reminder, but the fact that he could think of this was enough to show that his brain was still very bright, several times stronger than the group of bastards in the tribe who only knew how to fight, reproduce, and eat all day long.

"Yes, to regain the confidence of the tribesmen, we need the blood of the enemy. Those who dare to offend the dignity of my Shattered Bone Tribe will pay with their lives."

Bone Breaker actually knew that doing so was just a self-deceiving act of burying his head in the sand, but in the face of the tribe's low morale, he had no better way.

Only by regaining the confidence of the tribesmen can the strength of the tribe be slowly restored. In this dangerous wilderness, everything else is in vain, and only strength can guarantee the safety of himself and the tribesmen.
