Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Nian Xi shook her head firmly. “I can’t, it’s too smelly.”

Luosang and Yan Su were speechless. They were siblings for sure.

Nian Junting laughed coldly. “You’re mindful of it yourself. How could you criticize me?”

“You are the biological dad right?” Nian Xi rolled her eyes. “When I find a partner in the future, I must find someone who doesn’t mind changing my baby’s nappies. Sang, you really have to educate my brother.”

Luosang nodded her head and said to Nian Junting, “No matter how smelly it is, you have to learn to change it. Are you telling me that if our baby needs a change in the middle of the night, I’d have to get up and do it myself? Why do I need you then? I could just sleep with Sister Lan. At least I’d get a good night’s rest that way.”

“No.” Nian Junting looked glum. “Sister Lan is so fat. What if she crushes you or our baby apple in the middle of the night?”

Sister Lan wanted to cry when she heard him in the kitchen. She wasn’t that fat.

Luosang frowned. “Anyway, I’ll sleep with whoever changes the baby’s diapers.”

Nian Junting was silent now. He took over the diaper and studied it in silence. He finally could be intimate with his wife after the birth of his child, so he didn’t want to sleep in separate rooms.

Afterward, Yan Su chatted with Luosang a bit more before the baby started protesting, crying for milk. Mo Liuxi immediately walked out, but Yan Su and Nian Xi stayed since they were both girls. Nian Junting frowned and said to them, “Luosang is about to breastfeed, you should excuse yourselves.”

Nian Xi was speechless. “It’s fine, isn’t it? We’re all girls here.”

“Of course it’s not fine,” Nian Junting said. No one could see his woman like that, not even other girls.

Nian Xi rolled her eyes. “What if your son sees her then?”

“Don’t remind me.” Nian Junting turned and said to Luosang, “Why don’t we feed him cow’s milk? It’s quite nutritious as well and they have all sorts of formula nowadays.”

Luosang was flabbergasted. Could this man get any more jealous? “How could it be as good as his mother’s own milk? If you speak one more word about this….”

“Let’s go out then.” Yan Su smiled and tugged on Nian Xi.

When the two of them left, Luosang removed her top and started breastfeeding. She had just given birth so she wasn’t producing much yet, but the baby was enjoying himself.

Luosang’s maternity instincts kicked in as she looked down at her baby; she didn’t want to look away for a second.

Nian Junting’s face leaned in closer. “All right Luo, I think he’s full enough,” he complained.

Luosang was grumpy. “Can’t you tell he’s still eating.”

“He’s stealing my rice bowl.” Nian Junting was grumpy as well.

After a while, the nurse came to check on Luosang’s wound. Luosang felt embarrassed and asked Nian Junting to leave the room, but he refused as he wanted to check on her as well.

Luosang was frustrated; she didn’t want him to see her at her most vulnerable and unattractive state. Nian Junting, on the other hand, was grabbing onto her hands and comforting her. “Luo, it’s been hard on you. I will treat you well in the future to compensate you. Let’s go to the beach when our baby reaches a month.”

Luosang was stunned, “What about our little apple?”

“Sister Lan and mother can take care of him,” Nian Junting said nonchalantly.
