Growing Fond of You, Mr Nian

Yan Su nodded. She felt as if she had finally found her direction in a dense fog.

Jiaojiao was right. Time would give her the answer if Mo Liuxi was a good man or not. For now, she shouldn’t worry too much about it.

Besides, she had just come back to work. She didn’t have too much time to think about her relationship with him.

Deep down, she wished they could be together in the end. After all, she had never forgotten about him, and her child would be happy to live with both her parents.

At night, Yan Su and the other crew members dressed up to attend the award ceremony.

The annual film festival attracted people from all over the world.

The team under Li Ming’s leadership won the Golden Lion award. Cheng Sheng and Ji Nuanyi didn’t win the awards of best actor and actress, but still, the Golden Lion award was a great achievement for the crew.

After the ceremony, the crew members took turns to accept interviews. In front of the media from all over the world, Li Ming said, “Six years ago, my team and I attended the Berlin film festival. We didn’t win the Golden Bear, but the leading actor in my film won the Best Actor award. I am so thrilled to win the Golden Lion at this age. I want to thank my team, and every actor and actress from my film crew, and my assistant directors Lu Tao and Mo Liuxi, especially Mo Liuxi. I was happy with the script at first, but Liuxi said it wasn’t good enough. He perfected it. During the filmmaking, we sometimes stayed up the whole night talking about how to make the film more creative. For one scene, we spent a few nights discussing it. He is still very young, but I believed that he’ll achieve better than I have.”

Yan Su was stunned to hear that.

Without a doubt, Li Ming had pushed Mo Liuxi up to the peak of the world of directors by complimenting him like that in front of the media coming from all over the world. He was only twenty-one years old. Because of the Golden Lion award that he had won, he would probably become a super popular movie director world-wide.

He was young, but he would become very famous.

Mo Liuxi was surprised too.

He thanked Li Ming while accepting the interview.

The last interview ended at night. At midnight, the crew went to the bar to celebrate.

Everybody was happy. They would be flying home tomorrow, so they drank quite a lot. Mo Liuxi clinked glasses with Li Ming the whole time, and in the end, Li Ming was pretty drunk.

Even Yan Su drank a lot. Jiaojiao had to go to the bar to pick her up and escort her back to the hotel.

Once they got to the hotel, Jiaojiao gave her some pills to release the drunkenness. After that, she slept for a short while.

Before dawn, the doorbell woke up Yan Su. She spent a great effort to get up from the bed to answer the door.

Mo Liuxi was leaning against the door frame, wearing a bathrobe. His hair was slightly messy and his eyes looked drowsy. His chest was partially exposed. The aroma of shower gel was on his body, mixing with the scent of alcohol.

Seeing him without a warning, Yan Su felt her throat get a little dry, and her mind blurred.

“What… time is it?” she said.

Mo Liuxi raised his hand, glanced at his watch, then answered the question with a deep voice, “Four.”

Yan Su gave a start, rubbed her eyes and said helplessly, “Why did you wake me up at this time?”

“I heard you’re leaving at 8:00 a.m.,” said Mo Liuxi, looking at her in the eyes.

“Yeah…” Yan Su was a little confused. She had told the others about her schedule in the group chat indeed.

“So… give me the breast pump back.” Mo Liuxi reached a hand toward her.

Yan Su was utterly confused.

Seeing the bewildered look on her pretty face, Mo Liuxi grinned. “Silly. Do you want to go through the security check with it? Or, do you plan to leave it here in the hotel to be found by the hotel staff?”
