Harry Potter and the Candy Factory
#251 - Cache Square
Just as the British magical world has Diagon Alley, and the American magical world has the Wizarding World Department Store, when you come to a place, if you really want to experience its unique characteristics, then a wizarding commercial district like this is undoubtedly the best choice. And in this area of Paris, France, when it comes to the places that wizards rely on most on weekdays, it is undoubtedly Cagliostro Square.
This is also where Nakul and Little Sanchez are hosting Charlie.
Accompanied by crackling flashes and bangs, when the three figures reappeared, the original sparsely populated scene on the side of the road had disappeared without a trace, replaced by a bronze statue in a hidden corner. The statue depicts an unknown beautiful woman. It was dusk, and the sun had already set, leaving no trace. Under the cover of the night and the soft light of the street lamps beside her, it was as if she was draped in a precious veil, sitting quietly on the bronze base, her eyes gently looking into the distance, not knowing what she was thinking. Vaguely visible, it was breathtakingly beautiful.
However, Charlie wasn't sure if it was his illusion, but he always felt that compared to the angle from which he had first seen it, the statue's eyes seemed to be glancing at the location where the three of them had appeared.
"What is this place?"
After putting away his wand, Charlie couldn't help but raise his eyebrows slightly, looking at the tall buildings on both sides and the brightly lit signs, a scene of prosperity. Feeling happy, he then asked.
"Voltaire Avenue in the Montmartre district."
Nakul seemed to have not used Apparition for a long time. He staggered a few steps when he reappeared, and fortunately he helped the statue base to avoid falling. Despite this, when he heard Charlie's question, as a good friend, he still did not forget to answer the other party's question as soon as possible.
Seeing that Charlie still had doubts in his eyes, Little Sanchez then continued to explain softly: "The place my father booked this time is a high-end restaurant famous in the French wizarding world. The restaurant is in Cagliostro Square… Because of magic, you can't directly Apparate there, so we have to go through here."
Hearing this, Charlie's expression finally turned into understanding. He thought to himself that it was probably a place like Diagon Alley, so he nodded and didn't say anything else, but quietly waited for the two locals to open the mechanism to go there.
Immediately, without further hesitation, led by Nakul, the three came to the front of the bronze statue. After looking around for a while, seeing that no one was watching, they ran up and crashed into the statue's solid base. Then, in the next second, his body seemed to blend into it, and suddenly disappeared in front of Charlie's eyes. Then, Little Sanchez also skillfully followed his father's footsteps and plunged in together.
Seeing this, Charlie no longer hesitated. After all, when he was young, he had to crash into that stupid stone pillar on the train platform four times a year, twice to go in and twice to come out. An entrance of this level was already familiar to him, so he didn't think much about it, and with a short body, he followed the two into Cagliostro Square together.
After a moment of weightlessness and bizarre scenes, Charlie suddenly heard the bustling noise in his ears, mixed with the faint cheerful music and crisp bells, making people feel a more lively foreign atmosphere than Diagon Alley even before seeing it with their own eyes.
When he opened his eyes, the thought in his mind became even more certain. On the wide street, wizards of all ages, tall and short, fat and thin, came and went, either strange old men in dark cloaks, or young children being pulled by their parents, jumping and hopping. In the chaos, the only surprisingly consistent thing was that everyone who came to Cagliostro Square after a busy day had a calm smile on their faces, and from time to time, you could hear a burst of either immature or shy laughter from a pair of wizards in love… forming a grand scene that anyone would sigh at when they first saw it.
On both sides of the road in Cagliostro Square, various shops lit up dazzling magical lights, waiting for one guest after another to come and patronize. From the Amazing Joke Shop to the Konah Flying Broom Supermarket, and even in the more distant open space, there were alchemy shops with signs like "Nicolas Flamel's Personally Passed Down Time-Honored Brand!"… The dazzling scene made Charlie's eyes light up.
Nakul seemed to understand the surprise in Charlie's eyes and chuckled twice without saying a word.

After all, although in terms of research and foundation, compared to the British magical world, which has always promoted "magical orthodoxy in England", the French magical world is indeed slightly inferior, but—when it comes to the entertainment industry, including eating, drinking, and having fun, the French magical world can simply leave those antique British wizards several streets behind!! For French wizards, this is also a particularly honorable scene. Every time they see those foreigners with an incredible expression, it is not something to be happy about…
It was not until Charlie reacted and took a deep breath of the rich "atmosphere" in the air that Nakul, who was about to arrive, finally dragged him and Little Sanchez and walked quickly in the direction of the restaurant.
Along the way, Charlie's eyes were dazzled, and he even saw a few magical creatures, dressed brightly and beautifully, wearing pink tutus, struggling frantically in the arms of several wealthy women, trying to escape.
Just as Charlie was about to ask where the so-called restaurant was, suddenly, a familiar sign caught his attention. A shop of about a hundred square meters was dazzlingly decorated with lights of various colors, outlining the words "Charlie's Candy Store". Next to the exaggerated artistic font, they even left space to outline an image of a blond man wearing a top hat and trench coat, frequently tipping his hat to the passing guests… At first glance, Charlie was a little dazed. It wasn't until he reacted a few seconds later that he suddenly realized—isn't that me?
Charlie's eyes widened, and he looked in horror at Nakul, who was still holding his hand and walking forward against the crowd. His lips couldn't help but tremble a few times, but after hesitating for a while, he still chose to suppress it and didn't yell out.
