Harry Potter and the Legend of the Temple

Chapter 121 The Mystery of Time

The dark ward instantly merged into the black screen, and the surrounding scenes changed in an instant.

Louis knew the wonders of the time turner, but he was still shocked by the scene when he experienced time travel for the first time.

He felt everything was flying backward, and some vague shapes and sounds passed by his eyes and ears respectively.

It feels like a phantom, but without that strong sense of oppression.

Then, he stepped on solid ground, and everything around him could be seen clearly. They seemed to be still in the ward, but the scene when the sunlight came in was different from before.

Harry looked at this strange yet familiar environment, feeling confused from beginning to end.

"Where is this? What happened to us?"

"This is the past, Harry. I will explain to you later. We have to leave here first." Louis whispered, "Dumbledore is right, we cannot be discovered by others."

Hermione opened the door, and Louis pulled Harry out of the campus hospital. The three of them hurried to the hall and stopped at the broom kitchen entrance.

"It's five-ten now, and the Quidditch Cup final has just started. We should be safe now." Hermione glanced at her pocket watch.

"It is indeed a bit difficult to capture Peter Pettigrew in five hours. The problem is that we don't know his specific location."

"But we have an advantage," Hermione said quickly. "At least we know what's going to happen next."

"Hey, can anyone explain to me what's going on?" Harry was a little annoyed as he looked at Louis and Hermione talking to each other like this, "And what you just said..."

"We went back five hours in time." Hermione took out her pocket watch again and placed it in front of Harry, "This is the time in the past."

"This thing is a time turner. I borrowed it from Professor McGonagall when I started school. She assured the Ministry of Magic that I was a good student and would never use it for anything other than studying, so I got approval from the Ministry of Magic. In this way, I I can also make it in time for class.”

Harry pinched his thigh, and a pain stung his brain. It didn't look like he was dreaming.

"Shh, someone is coming." Louis reminded the three of them, standing side by side against the wall, and saw the figure of a middle-aged man drifting past their eyes and heading towards the entrance of the hall.

"It's Snape, what is he doing here?" Hermione asked in a low voice.

"Look at his hands."

"What? That's..." Hermione concentrated, "That's Scabbers? Snape and Peter Pettigrew collaborated? This..."

"Maybe it's not as simple as we thought, Hermione." Louis responded in a low voice, "Do you still remember where you found Sirius?"

"Under the Whomping Willow, the Shrieking Shack."

"But, don't we just need to go straight to uniform now?" Harry asked, pointing at Snape and the two who were going out.

"No!" Louis and Hermione said in unison.

"First of all, regardless of whether the three of us can directly confront two adult wizards, once the timeline is deviated due to our decisions, unexpected things will happen."

"Time is fragile, and any small move will lead to unpredictable consequences. This is why the Ministry of Magic needs to strictly monitor the Time Turner."

After hearing Hermione's words, Harry nodded thoughtfully.

"Then what do we do now?"

"Go to the Forbidden Forest, wait." Lewis waved at the two of them. Dumbledore must have wanted them to change something if they wanted to go back to the past. Their only advantage now was to know what would happen later.

"By the way, there's one more thing, Harry." Louis said to Harry, "Since we need to deal with adult wizards, we need someone's help."

"You mean, Professor Lupin?"

"That's right, he should be waking up soon. Go and help write a letter and put it in his office. Let him see it and come to the Forbidden Forest to find us."

"Okay, be careful." Harry took a deep breath and walked from the right passage. Nowadays, almost all students are watching the Quidditch game, but they will not meet here.

"Oh, and." Louis seemed to suddenly remember something, "Sirius Black is your godfather, Harry!"

I don't know if the boy could hear it, but in the blink of an eye he had disappeared from the sight of the two of them.

"Are you afraid there is another reason for pushing Harry away?"

Hermione followed Louis and trotted out of the hall and rushed to the Forbidden Forest. She asked Louis on the way.

"As you should have guessed, he is a key figure in the original story."

"So..." Hermione's eyes widened and she looked at Louis, "The Harry who was there at that time was the Harry from the future?"

Louis nodded, which could also explain why Harry acted strangely at that time and what he said later in the ward.

"What about the others?" Hermione continued, lost in thought, "Astoria and I saw you at the Shrieking Shack."

"It should be me in the future, that is to say, me now." Lewis pointed at himself.

Even if I use the time turner to catch up with classes, I still find it incredible when I really consider the function of this artifact.

At the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Louis and Hermione stepped forward cautiously, trying not to make too much noise to avoid causing unnecessary trouble.

"Perhaps we can follow Snape's footsteps, Louis." Hermione pointed to the shoe prints of different shades in the mud. "That way we can know where Sirius is hiding."

"It's too late, they should have already started taking action." Louis frowned and looked at the sky where the sun was about to set. The reason why he didn't go directly to the Shrieking Shack was because he would be kidnapped if he waited there too early. Peter Dwarf discovered that he could only take action after Sirius was captured.

But the more troublesome thing is that the two of them don't know where Sirius is at the moment.

Suddenly, a movement of grass around them attracted their attention, and Louis quickly motioned for Hermione to get down. An injured ginger cat fell in front of Louis and Hermione.

"Crookshanks?!" Hermione whispered. The cat seemed to have discovered the two of them and was about to turn around and ask for help.

At this moment, a short, fat middle-aged man suddenly appeared in front of the two of them. Louis quickly covered Hermione's mouth and hid behind the bushy tree.

"Hmph, you damn cat, why are you still thinking about informing them?" Peter Pettigrew's extremely sharp voice reached Louis' ears.

"Think about how you persecuted me back then, and now I want to repay you twice as much!"

"Keep running, you stupid cat!"

Peter Pettigrew waved his wand, and the spell exploded next to Crookshanks in a flash. He seemed to be playing with Crookshanks.

The ginger Crookshanks' injury worsened, and with a wave from Peter Pettigrew, the grass grew rapidly, and the entire cat's body was tied up by the surrounding vegetation.

"Say goodbye to this world!"
